Bimini Moose Feature - Beautiful Baby Pocket Pages!

I'm so excited to bring you a feature post for the Bimini Moose Challenge Blog! If you haven't had a chance to check out this blog, you are in for a treat! There is so much inspiration over there and as an added bonus a challenge every two weeks where you can link up your scrapbooking project and have a chance to win an awesome prize from Kadoodle Bug Designs!

I have lots of pics printed off in my house! Photos from when I was young, photos from before my kids were born, photos from 2010 till now that I've been working on getting into albums. I don't stress about these photos. They're all organized and I even put a little sticky tag on them indicating the date and a brief description of each set. It is my goal to get them into scrapbooks and pocket pages, but in the meantime I love being able to pull from a certain season or event to scrap what I feel like scrapping. So, today I felt like working on my baby girl, Erica's album. She's three now and asks me where the pictures are of her that she can look at... so that's my motivation to get these into an album!

A while ago I bought a bunch of baby girl scrapbooking supplies, and by a while ago I mean a couple years ago. You know that time when you think you'll surely have time to work on the baby album in a month or so. I think it's sleep deprivation or just clinging to hope that your life will return to a semblance of normal some day - when a small child won't be running the show.  Well, still waiting for that day, lol, but it's getting easier!

I used paper and stickers from Daisy D's and made my own journalling cards after placing the pictures I wanted into pockets. I also used Making Memories clear acrylic sheets that you place over your pics. I love how they look like rub-ons! I added one to each picture and I love how they are so subtle. I simply tucked them into the pocket with each horizontal picture, adding a small piece of clear two sided tape to the vertical pic to secure it.

Erica certainly is a miracle - we tried for a very long time to have her and didn't think it was going to happen. 6 months after making a decision to sell the crib and all our baby supplies we were so happy to find out God had blessed us with a miracle! It just goes to show you that you never know what path your life will take, so enjoy each moment, try not to stress too much, and trust that God knows what's best.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I am really feeling motivated to get more baby pics scrapped, so stay tuned for more to come :) Don't forget that you can link up your scrapbooking project - traditional or Project Life - on the current Bimini Moose Challenge! We'd love to see what you have going on!!

  4. This is such an absolutely precious page! The colors are sweet and the pictures are so tender. It reminded me of my own little one, so I appreciate the emotion your page evoked. That patterned paper is gorgeous with the flowers, so you did an excellent job of putting things together in a beautiful way. Thanks so much for sharing your work with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
