Kitty Bee Designs Challenge #110 - Food and/or Drink!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #110 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #110 - Food and/or Drink

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge

The East Wind - http://etsy.com/shop/theeastwind

and

My Besties - http://www.mybestiesshop.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html

For the Food and Drink Challenge this week I'm using an adorably cute little girl popping out of a yummy apple pie! You can find this image HERE in the My Besties Shop. The cute curls remind me of when my daughter, Amie, was younger and she had the most irresistable curly hair!! I layered on some BoBunny papers and SpiegelMom Scraps sequins along with a pretty gingham ribbon.

I coloured her up with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are both alcohol based, and used a Kaisercraft square stitched die to cut out a panel. I added a bit of Distress Ink around the edge and layered it over a pretty doily from SpiegelMom Scraps.

The 'sweet as apple pie' sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps was just perfect to add to the front of the card, stamped on a panel that I diecut with a Waffle Flower Patched Layers Die.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge to see all the inspiration from the other awesome Design Team members - and enter your own project for a chance to win!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Kitty Bee Designs - Valentine Bunny Pocket Tags!

Hello! I'm over at the Kitty Bee Designs Blog today sharing these adorable little Valentine Pocket Tags using the Super Bun Valentine Digital Stamp . I think my girls will adore finding these on Valentines Day with a few sweet treats tucked into the pockets!

I keep a box of Valentine themed papers and goodies in my craft room and was excited to find these sweet little My Mind's Eye pockets that I thought would be perfect to turn into little tags!

I coloured in these adorable digi bunnies with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are alcohol based, and then cut them out using a Stitched Square Kaisercraft Die. I added a little Tim Holtz chit chat sticker to the middle of the heart and then layered it on a piece of BoBunny paper diecut with a Pretty Pink Posh scalloped die.

I stamped the Pretty Cute Stamps Valentine sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and cut that out with a Waffle Flower Patched Layers Die. A little pink Distress Oxide Ink added a bit of colour around the edge of the sentiment and onto the pretty burlap Little Birdie Crafts flower. (you can check out the unboxing video of these flowers to see more in the collection!)

I added a pretty button and some pink ribbon from a BoBunny Ephemera Pack - I've been loving the assortment of papers, buttons, ribbons and stickers in these packs! Great for crafting on the go too.

I had some ombre coloured doilies that I had picked up at Michaels a while ago and tucked these under the diecuts and the bunny image. I love the look of the layers and the stitched dies!

Lastly, I added some lovely SpiegelMom Scraps sequins for a bit of bling!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'd love to know if you make cards for Valentines Day, and who you give them to. Have a fantastic week friends!

FCCB #318 - Snow!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #318-Snow
Make a project using anything snow related. But there has to be a least one cut from the Cricut Library!

This Weeks Sponsor is-

Lawn Fawn

And the prize is-

A $25 online gift code!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images. If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

This week I'm using the Speaking Of Winter Cricut cartridge, along with the Winter Village and Winter Fox Lawn Fawn stamp sets, to create two mini winter cards. When I think of winter colours I think blues and purples, so I grabbed some of those colours of cardstock and after cutting with my Cricut Explore I grabbed some Distress Oxide Inks to add just a little more colour. I stamped the cute Lawn Fawn houses on white cardstock and coloured them in with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers, which are alcohol based. A little bit of white gel pen adds some snowy highlights to the tiny trees, and some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins add a bit more shine!

I used a Kaisercraft square stitched die to cut out the snowflake panel so I could pop it up over the blue inside background. Before gluing the two layers together I added blue and purple Distress Oxide Inks and flicked some Tattered Angels Chalk Chalkboard Mist on top to create a sparkly water droplet effect.

The next card has a fun fold and the snowflake tucks into a little cut on the right side to close it. I popped up the middle snowflake layer after adding extra Distress Oxide Inks and splattering again with the Chalk Mist.

Here's a look at the stamp sets I used on the inside, which I stamped with the sentiment from the Winter Fox set using Distress Oxide Ink. I love using this ink for stamping! You can find a large assortment of sequins and crafty goodies (such as the stitched square dies above) at the SpiegelMom Scraps shop, and if you use the code KARLA15 you can save 15% off your purchase there!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what all the other Design Team members have come up with for this challenge - and enter your own for a chance to win a prize from our fantastic sponsor Lawn Fawn!

SpiegelMom Scraps - Will You Be My Lab Partner Valentine!

Hey friends! Hope you're having an awesome week 😀 I'm really having fun watching the cool sneak peeks that are showing up for Creativation. Tim Holtz has some amazing releases coming out, and Dyan Reaveley had an amazing live FB video today. I'm looking forward to seeing all the awesome new goodies coming out next weekend. Other than that, I'm of course having lots of crafty fun with the super cool new sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps! Here's a look at the adorable scientific valentine I posted on their Instagram last week. I used some Pretty Cute Stamps images and sentiments, watercoloured on Bristol cardstock - which I'm loving, before adding some Glossy Accents over the bubbly liquid.

I layered a Simple Stories journaling card over some pretty pink BoBunny background paper and added a little AC border punched strip, ribbon and a button. You can check out all the photos, details and the inside over at the SMS Instagram post. Be sure to use the code KARLA15 to save 15% off your purchases at the SpiegelMom Scraps Store!

Love You A Latte Valentine!

Hi friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week! The kids are back in school, and even though I love having p.j. days and relaxing around, it is kind of nice to get back into a bit of a schedule. I wanted to share this cute coffee valentine card with you today. Last week I met up with a couple friends at an indoor kids play area and I brought a box of card making supplies. The other ladies aren't card makers so I thought they might like a little card class and I stamped these cute images from the Your Next Stamp Perk Up set for us to watercolour with Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers and a watercolour palette from Michaels.

After I watercoloured this adorable coffee stamp I layered the panel on some BoBunny paper from a NEW ephemera pack I hadn't yet used. I love these ephemera packs filled with bits of papers, stickers, ribbons, flowers and more! They coordinate lovely and are wonderful to pull from when you're crafting on the go. I added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins (don't forget to use the code KARLA15 to save 15% off 😉)

Inside I stamped the coordinating sentiment from the same set with Sienna Archival Ink and layered it on some pretty pink paper and then onto the light pink cardbase, which is cut at 4x4 - just perfect for a sweet little valentine!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'd love to know if you are planning on making any valentine cards this year. I just can't resist putting hearts, pinks and reds together 💟! Wishing you all a wonderful, crafty week!

FCCB #317 - Something New!

Happy Monday and welcome to another FCCB Monday challenge!

Challenge #317-Something New
Make a project using a new cartridge, embellishiment, or image. But there has to be a least one cut from the Cricut Library!

This Weeks Sponsor
DL Art Store
And the prize is-

A $10 coupon code for anything in the store!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images. *If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas/Winter holiday! We had a really great two weeks, and I enjoyed all the down time I had with the girls. They head back to school tomorrow, and since we spent Sunday organizing our crafty area, I'm ready for a scrappy week ahead. For this challenge I'm choosing a couple 'new' crafty things to use on my project, which is a sweet and cozy winter card with a pretty snowflake border diecut using the Theresa Collins December 25th Cricut cartridge. I used the negative image of the snowflakes by 'attaching' the cut onto the card front - I just love the cozy blue sweater print on this Simple Stories Snow Fun paper! This allows the sparkly Soft Fallen Snow embossing powder from Emerald Creek to peek through the opening! Since I'd never used this pretty snowflake border cut before, this was my first NEW thing!

The next NEW thing I used was this adorable Lawn Fawn Llama stamp! I actually borrowed it from my darling 10 year old daughter. I go to a weekly card make 'n take at a LSS and over Christmas the girls were able to come with me. Amie convinced me I should definitely buy her this cute stamp, and since I planned on using it, and I love that she loves crafts, of course I did buy it for her 😉I used some watercolours and painted him up and then used a Spellbinders die to cut him out before adding some pretty embossed snowflakes from the stamp set. I love how the sentiment from this set looks so striking on the black cardstock border!

Inside, I used the actual snowflake cuts and then added my next NEW thing - these gorgeous new Teal Me Tomorrow sequin mix from the SpiegelMom Scraps Shop! You can see them on the front of the card as well below. I wasn't sure the exact occasion I'd be using this card for, so I left the inside blank until I'm ready to send it out.

The last NEW thing I used today was a Tim Holtz snowflake die set my friend, Laura, lent to me. I cut the snowflakes from a watercolour patterned paper and then covered it again with the Soft Fallen Snow powder. It is sparkly and puffs up a bit to create a really cool texture while letting the colour underneath show through - very neat!
