Crossing Guard Thank You Cards!

Hello! Well, we just finished the school year this week and have the whole summer ahead of us! I'm over on the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog today sharing a couple of cute cards that we gave to the Crossing Guards at our school last week. We so appreciate all the time they take to make sure everyone gets to school safely! I used the sweet FREEBIE Crossing Guard Digital Stamp from the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop along with some Shimelle Sparkle City papers from the SCT Sampler Pack to whip up these cards in no time.

Inside, I used a printable sentiment included in the download and added another sparkly star cut with the star dies in the Your Next Stamp Photo Booth Panel Die to coordinate with the front of the cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog for details and closeups, and check out the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop for lots more images to have fun with. Have an awesome weekend friends!

Customizing Baseball Gifts Using The Cricut Maker with Video!

Hello! I am so excited to finally have a Cricut Maker!! I was lucky enough to find it on TSC, which is the Canadian Shopping Channel, and I used a 20% off coupon, making it super affordable with their interest-free payment plan! I previously had an Explore, which I loved, but I felt this was the right time to upgrade and take advantage of the new features the Maker has, including the ability to cut fabric easily with the rotary blade! With a birthday present needed for a little boy having a baseball themed party I thought this was the perfect time to break it open and get going. My daughter, Erica, who is 7 really enjoyed helping make this present for her little friend, and I enjoyed the crafting time with her!

Here's a look at the VIDEO where I'll show you step by step how easy it is to create two quick, easy, personalized gifts.

I was surprised and so pleased at how easily the Cricut Maker Rotary Blade cut through fabric! This was a white fleece material and I was a bit worried about how much residue it might leave on the fabric mat, but it came off completely clean. The Everyday Iron-On adhered perfectly to the fleece and we stitched up the pillow in no time.

Erica's friend was so excited to get his new shirt, and she thought it was an awesome gift to give! She was so proud of the fact that she helped to make it.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to know if you have an electronic cutter, and if so, which one? Have an awesome crafty week friends!

Your Next Stamp Coffee Cuties Card!

Hello! I hope your week is looking up so far! Mine is great as I'm getting to design with one of the New Release Stamps from Your Next Stamp this month - Coffee Cuties on the Your Next Stamp Blog today! I love coffee and I love cute stamps - so this was so fun to create a pretty card with.

I paper-pieced the cup with Dear Lizzy papers from the latest SCT Sampler Pack and coloured in the rest of the image with Copic Markers. A bit of foam tape popped up the image on a striped background cut with a Your Next Stamp Scallop Stitched Rectangle die and then it was layered on an embossed background. Some pretty sequins, a button and twine finish off the card front.

Inside, I stamped the wonderful sentiment from the Coffee Cuties and added a little diecut strawberry to coordinate with the front of the card.

Ha-Bee Birthday!

Hello my friends! Today, I'm sharing a cute little birthday card over at the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog using the sweet GSD Ha-Bee Birthday Digital Stamp. I love using yellow, and this little bee gave me the perfect opportunity to work it into my design. I coloured this cute bee using Copic Markers and then fussy cut it out before adding gel pen highlights and foam tape to pop it up.

I diecut some clouds using the Studio Katia Sky Set Borders Dies and lightly brushed them with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink on the edge. I layered it on some honeycomb patterned paper from my stash and even inlaid a sun using Tim Holtz Metallic cardstock and the SK die. A few Studio Katia Gold Sparkle Crystals scattered around the card add just a little more bling! I added the perfect coordinating sentiment from the Mama Elephant Birthday Messages Stamp Set 😉 stamped with my fav Gina K Amalgam Black Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog to see more closeups and the inside of this cute card, and check out the GSD Shop for lots of fun clear and digi stamps!

Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!

Well hello again friends! I'm so super excited to be Guest Designing for the fantastic Your Next Stamp this month, and I can't wait to show you what I've created with their fun new stamp and die set Cool Tees for the New Release Blog Hop! If you missed the Sneak Peek Post with the adorable Card Buddies you can find that HERE. The Cool Tees stamp set is so fun with a T-shirt stamp and tons of sentiments and images you can add to it. My 12 year old daughter, Amie, actually had the idea to create a Tie-Dye T-shirt, so I pulled out my Ken Oliver Color Burst powders to get started. I had actually met Ken and taken a class over the weekend, which was fantastic, so I was all ready to get inky. There are so many great images in this stamp set that I just couldn't stop at one though!

Be sure to scroll all the way down for a discount code, a link to all the designers in the hop - and of course Blog Candy!

I started off by sprinkling Color Burst powders on a piece of Bristol Cardstock and let my 7 year old, Erica, spritz it with water. She thought it was super cool the way the colours created a magical background. Then, I took the Cool Tees T-shirt stamp and stamped it on the various areas of the background. I stamped with Gina K Amalgam Black Ink - my fav right now - and then diecut the T's out with the coordinating die.

I thought I'd do some Distress Oxide Ink Blending on each background behind the T-shirts to add colour and keep with the Tie-Dye look. Here, I used Blueprint Sketch, Festive Berries and Spiced Marmelade on 110 lb white cardstock and then spritzed with water to create this awesome effect.

I coloured in each of the cute images with Copic Markers and popped them up with foam tape. A bit of Glossy Accents and white gel pen add detail. I stamped the sentiments directly onto each T-shirt. I love how versatile this set is - perfect for so many occasions.

This Distress Oxide Ink combo is Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron and Spiced Marmalade.

I cut up a 12x12 piece of Echo Park Best Summer Ever paper to used as the base of my card. A bit of Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink edges it nicely. This Thumbs Up card could be great for a congrats or graduation card!

The Distress Oxide Ink combo for this card is Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean.

This cute coffee cup makes me laugh - and there's an equally cute Monday Coffee Cup in the set 😉 I stamped some star stamps from the set on the T-shirt and added some shiny sequins for just a little more bling!

This Distress Oxide Ink combo is Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers.

Lastly, I made a T-shirt tag using the cute frog and the YNS Cool Tag Four diecut inked with Festive Berries, Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink. This will make a perfect teacher gift for one of the amazing teachers at my girls' school - all wrapped up and ready to go!

Now, of course we have an awesome discount code for you to save on all the goodies in the YNS Shop!

Your Next Stamp June New Release Preview!!

Hello friends! I'm super excited to be guest designing this month for the fabulous Your Next Stamp!! I absolutely love working with this company and I'm always wowed by their fun and creative stamps, dies and accessories. Today is a special Sneak Peek Preview Day where you get to see what all the designers are doing with the awesome new stamps - before the big reveal Blog Hop on Thursday! Today, I'm using the super sweet Card Buddies stamp set to create three different cards. This stamp set is so versatile with so many different accessories!

The first card is a cute teacher thank-you card using the bunny and puppy in the set. I coloured all the animals and accessories in with Copic Markers and then mixed and matched them to fit each card. I thought the glasses, bowtie, book and apple were just perfect to set the scene for a teacher card! I used a thanks sentiment from the YNS Whatnot Sentiments Set Four stamp set and embossed with Emerald Creek Glacier White embossing powder on black cardstock. The stars are from a new set Cool Tees stamped with Distress Oxide Ink. (I'll be using the Cool Tees set on Thursday!!)

I used various papers and embellishments from the Scrapbook & Cards Today Sampler Packs from the last couple months. These are always fun to dig through to create something! I added a little Glossy Accents to the bunny's glasses - I love those glasses!!

For the second card I decided to create a wedding or anniversary card, using some soft floral paper in the background and the bear and pig stamps. I cut out the stitched frame border using the YNS Photo Booth Panel Die.

I added layers of foam tape to the animals and their arms and accessories to give them dimension. A bit of white gel pen adds detail to the images at the end.

And for the third card, because I just had to use all the images... I used the raccoon and cat to create a birthday card. I again used the YNS Photo Booth Panel Die, but instead of layering it on top of a full background piece, I used to the die to cut out focal cake images and placed them into the diecut on the cardbase. I added sequin embellishments from some Wild Whisper Designs sequin packs by SpiegelMom Scraps.

I added some Distress Oxide Inks to the Hooray For Cake diecut ephemera piece and popped it up with foam dots. I just love these little guys, and I still have so many more accessories to create with!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Your Next Stamp Blog to see what all the other designers have come up with using this month's New Release goodies, and don't forget to pop back Thursday morning at 11 am EST for a fantastic and fun blog hop with a special sale code, a giveaway and lots of inspiration!

Have a wonderful week my friends!!

Vintage Father's Day Frame!

Hello! I sure hope you've all had a fabulous weekend! We had warm weather and sunshine here, and even a little crafting - all in all a wonderful and relaxing couple days. Today, I'm over on the Southern Ridge Trading Company Blog to share a Father's Day project I whipped up for my hubby. His grandpa was such an amazing man, and we recently came across this cool photo of him many years ago. He used to be a mechanic, so when I saw the Southern Ridge Trading Company Vintage Truck and Nuts and Bolts Chipboard along with the Medium size Multi Gear Stencil in the shop I knew just what I wanted to make. I have the full tutorial over on the SRTC Blog. I just love how it turned out, and I know hubby is going to love it too.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Southern Ridge Trading Company Blog to get a full list of supplies, closeups and details. And, of course, have an awesome week!

Summer Traveler's Notebook!

Hello friends! I can't believe it is June already!! Wow, time flies... I'm looking forward to lovely warm days - and evenings - so the new challenge on the Emerald Creek Craft Supplies blog 'Summer In The City' was definitely an easy one to get into. I decided to share a layout I created in a Traveler's Notebook using photos from last year's summer adventures. I used the Project Life App to print some photos off my phone using my Canon Selphy printer - seriously love this! and got out the Simple Stories Oh Happy Day Collection along with my Emerald Creek Embossing Powders.

If you want to check out a previous video where I created a couple more pages in this notebook you can find that HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Emerald Creek Craft Supplies blog for supplies and details, and have an excellent, crafty weekend!
