Wild Whisper Layout - 5 Star Review Fair's Fair!

 Howdy friends! Hope your day is awesome and the weather is great! I have a layout to share on the Wild Whisper Blog today using the fab One More Chapter collection and the Nicole Wright Designs Worn Graph Stencil. We recently visited the Fair's Fair bookstore in the Inglewood neighborhood in Calgary, Alberta and had so much fun there I had to create a layout!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May Krafty Peeks Day TWO! Life Is The Bubbles!

  Welcome back to Day TWO of our May Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from 

artist Sabrina van Vloten

 and it's called.....

LIFE IS THE BUBBLES!

These wonderful sea creatures are ready to make your summer projects spectacular! You can add them into so many ocean scenes and the fun accessories included bring it all to life! I started out by making a center picture window card which opens up to showcase a fun scene inside! It's a little thicker, so I used the Denim Rick Rack and Chipboard sun from the ADD-ON BUNDLE to create a belly band. I used the P13 paper pad, from the ADD-ON as well and stamped the fabulous sentiment from LIFE IS THE BUBBLES! with the New DESIGNER DENIM INK.

There are so many amazing images to choose from in this set! I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Bristol Smooth Cardstock to watercolour this awesome scene and layered the images inside the picture window.

I used the New KRAFTY KALEIDOSCOPE Stencil with the DESIGNER DENIM again for a fun, bubbly background. Some white and stardust gel pens give each sea animal a bit of highlighting and shimmer.

On the back of the card I added a bit more paper from the P13 paper pad and stamped the second sentiment included in the set. I added one more cute sea creature and left a little spot for a personalized message!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May Krafty Peeks Day ONE! Tiny Tea Party!

   Who's ready for lots of brand new Krafty goodies?!

It's time for our May Release Peeks to begin 

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today's featured set is by

Allison Cope!

 and it's called.....
TINY TEA PARTY!

This sweet set has a lovely little teacup ready to fill with adorable critters! You can design your own cup using the included accessory stamps in so many different styles! 

I coloured up the cute mice pair with Copic Markers and added them to the teacup that was stamped on patterned paper from the beautiful P13 Sunshine Paper Pad, included in the MAY ADD ON BUNDLE. This paper has wonderful summery images on one side and beautiful soft tone on tone patterns on the other!! So many options! I then used the accessory stamps to add tiny flowers, dots and leaves using Krafty Kolours Inks, including the NEW DESIGNER DENIM Ink. Um, yes it's gorgeous!! I added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and layered on the little tea bag tag. Makes me want a cup of tea right now!

I used the NEW KRAFTY KALEIDOSCOPE Stencil to emboss green paper from the P13 Paper Pad from the BUNDLE and even fussy cut some images from that pad to use as embellishments. I chose a sweet sentiment and stamped the spoonful of sugar, sweetened with Glitter Drops. Then I used some Dream Drops, Liquid Pearls and the lemon sprinkles from the BUNDLE to finish it off!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge #580 - Card For A Guy!

  Good morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps ! Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing? We've got some fabulous ideas for you and can't wait to see what you create! This week, our challenge theme for you is: 

CARD FOR A GUY!

I'm using the Lumberjack & Jill stamp set that we released in January along with the Burlap Stencil to create a masculine card that would be perfect for Father's Day! You'll find BOTH these items on sale in this weekend's Frugal Friday sales! 

Check out the step by step photos below to see how I created the background - and be sure to join me Saturday May 8 at 1 pm EST LIVE in the Krafty Friends FB group to make this card together!! 

I coloured up these awesome images with Copic Markers and added in some of the trees from the New Springtime Sentiments Stamp Set using both Fresh Fields and Mossy Meadow Krafty Kolours Inks. I stamped the coordinating sentiment with Rich Rust Ink and added Rainbow Dots to finish off the card!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

Now, here's a look at the steps to create that fun grungy background! Don't forget to join me LIVE or watch the Replay to see it on video!

#1. Spray over stencil with Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays using Vicki Boutin Foundations Paper.

#2. Scribble on Vicki Boutin Crayons.

#3. Spray each scribble with a small amount of water and blend crayons with your finger.

#4. Using Houndstooth Stencil, blend Rich Rust Ink onto a couple areas and sponge/brush around edges of paper.

#5. Using Fresh Fields and Wicked Black Inks, sponge a few areas around the edges to finish it off!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge #579 - What’s Your Krafty Forecast?

 Good morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps ! 

This week our challenge theme for you is: 

What's Your Krafty Forecast?

My krafty forecast is Sunny with a chance of Funny Punny! I think this is such a great idea for a challenge and I chose the adorable Here Comes The Sun Stamp set with the happy sun! I coloured in the images with Copics and lightly stencilled the raindrops with Salty Sea Krafty Kolours Ink using the Rainy Day Stencil. I used Purple Pansy Ink to sponge around the edges of the diecut pieces and added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the little eyes and puddles on the card. I used the sketch you can see below, flipped on it's side and layered on papers and embellishments from the latest Shop The Box party!! 

Inside, I stamped a sweet and very punny sentiment and image using the New Lucky Ducks Stamps set! It is going to be back in stock very soon - so be sure to sign up for email notifications! I used the Purple Pansy and New Mellow Mustard Inks, which I must say look lovely together! You can see how well it matches the cute images from Here Comes The Sun as it is designed by the same artist, Neda.

International Scrapbook Day 2021!! What's Happening!

 Hello friends! I'm super excited it's International Scrapbook Day and I have been busy all week getting things together to share with you tomorrow! I really feel blessed there are so many events going on and thought I'd share a few!!

Scrap Shotz - Playing with Vicki Boutin Color Study Collection!

 Hello friends! I'm over on the Scrap Shotz Blog today sharing several projects using the amazing New Vicki Boutin Color Study collection! I decided to create a mixed media card with a fun motivational message first up. 

Using the same supplies I created a 12x12 layout and the Foundations Heavyweight Mixed Media Paper (seriously love this!)

And, I have a slimline Hugs card using Color Study and the Memory Box Twiggy Hugs Die!
