Emerald Creek Craft Supplies - Elegant Unicorn Card!

Hi friends! I sure hope you had an awesome weekend!! We've had record high temps here in Alberta and we have been trying to create a balance between keeping cool, but enjoying the warm weather, and not complaining because soon enough... you know! I'm over on the Emerald Creek Craft Supplies blog today to share a card using our theme this month - Outdoors! I feel like I've done a lot of camping layouts lately, so I wanted to use this awesome Unicorn Stamp from Emerald Creek to create a sunshine and rainbow card - and since I could think of a whole bunch of stamp sets that I could combine to create this card I thought I would use them all together along with some beautiful Emerald Creek Embossing Powders for a wonderful, bright, sunshiny card!

Here's a look at the VIDEO where you can check out the whole process!

Outrageous Joy Birthday Card!

Hi friends!! I hope your week is looking up so far. My daughter has a friend who had a birthday last week, and I wanted to use this adorable new stamp set Waddles Rainbow Fun again to make her friend a birthday card. You can see the other cute card I made using this set here on this post.  I decided to use some paper from a Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad and used a sketch from Mojo Monday. This sentiment is one of my favourites, and would make anyone's birthday extra special!

I stamped my images on white cardstock (there are so many in this set!) and coloured with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers, adding white gel pen accents and popping up a cute cloud.

Inside I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Wish Big stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps and added another cute penguin to create a matching envelope.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic week!

Enjoy The Ride with Your Next Stamp!

I was so excited a few weeks ago to win a stamp set from Your Next Stamp, and even though it was really hard to choose - I picked this super cute Waddles Rainbow Fun stamp set! There are so many adorable images to pick from, and of course, I had to pick a couple extra ones up too :)

The first card I made using the Waddles set (and there are lots of other Waddles sets to check out!) was this pretty card using the heart hot air balloon. Each month there is a sketch and a colour challenge, with a chance to win a gift certificate on the Your Next Stamp blog, so I decided to use both challenges on my card!

I coloured this cute image with Hobby Colour and Prismacolor Markers, one of my fav techniques, and added some white gel pen and Glossy Accents over top. I used some foam dots to pop up the image and my fluffy clouds.

This little guy looks so happy! I thought the hearts could be for Valentines or the card could be simply a friendly hello. I added my favourite sequins from the SpiegelMom Scraps Shop as the finishing touch!

Here's a look at this cute set - there are so many images!

FCCB #281 - Anything Goes and PCS Rainy Day Card!

Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday...

Challenge #281 Anything Goes!
Make a project using whatever image or materials you prefer!

This Weeks Sponsor:

Winner will receive one Craftin Desert Diva's stamp set of their choice!
(USA address only)

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

I'm also posting over at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog today, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to combine some sweet stamps and some awesome diecuts! We've had soooo much rain over the past week that I feel like we are swimming. Creating a rainy day card definitely seemed fitting!

I stamped and paper pieced the cute rubber boots, puddle and sunshine from the Pretty Cute Stamps Rain or Shine  stamp set, layering them on top of my diecut raindrop background, cut from the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge. There are so many nice diecut backgrounds in this set - one reason why I love it so much! I stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set, directly onto my background.

I stamped the Rainbow stamp on white cardstock and coloured it in with coloured pencils before layering this adorable little Froggy Umbrella diecut from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons and a cute little rain cloud from the Create A Critter cartridge. I used some Cosmo Cricket paper that I had in my stash for all the paper piecing and diecuts so everything would be coordinated - and I could feel like I was using up some older papers!

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Rainbow stamp set, using a Hero Arts Ombre Ink pad, and paper pieced an umbrella from the Rain or Shine stamp set.

Here's a look at the super cute stamp sets I used:

Pretty Cute Stamps March 2016 Sneak Peek!

Can you believe it's time for the sneak peeks at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog?! You are going to be blown away with all the amazing stamp sets this month! I'm giving you a sneak peek today of the Rainbow set - just in time for Spring!

I stamped my sweet rainbow image on watercolour paper and then used Distress and Tombow Markers to watercolour it in.

How adorable is this sweet rainbow with the cute cloud faces?! I fussy cut two extra clouds from the stamp and popped them up over the bottom layer for dimension.

I stamped sentiments from the Rainbow set on handcut banners and then stitched around the border of the card base with my sewing machine.

The background paper is from a paper pad with a resist dotted background. I used Distress Inks to sponge over it and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls to blend the inks and give a lovely shimmer.

Here's a look at today's FREEBIE cut file - which you can grab over at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog! How cute is this Rainbow Gift Bag?!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Pretty Cute Stamps blog to see what all the other designers have come up with to show you. And don't forget to stop by Friday when you'll get to see the new stamp sets revealed and join in our blog hop!
