Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release Hop & Shop!

Woohoo!!! Today we are celebrating all the new fabulous goodies in our March Release that are NOW available in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop! I am using the beautiful New WILDFLOWER WONDER Stamps to create two simple, but elegant cards!

I used some backgrounds I had created on my gelli plate and white heat embossed these gorgeous florals over top. This is an easy way to use these stamps if you don't feel like colouring them in.

I used the New RICH RUST Ink to stamp sentiments from the set onto a banner layered on some twine that is included in the awesome March ADD ON BUNDLE!

I created my second card the same way, using the second flower in the set. The Dream Drops, from the ADD ON BUNDLE were a lovely embellishment. They are iridescent, and I love that they look a little different depending on the colour background you add them to.

I layered the RADICAL RECTANGLES Stencil negative mask on top of my flower and layered the ROYAL Stencil on top of that. I spritzed with water to create some droplets and if you look carefully you can see the slight outlines of the various shapes from the Royal Stencil! 

All four of our new stamp sets, plus two new stencils and a new hybrid ink colour RICH RUST!  were released yesterday along with our MARCH ADD ON BUNDLE, 

and we're excited to share it ALL with you in a fabulous krafty HOP!

Merry Memories Layout with Wild Whisper!

 Hello friends! I'm sharing a Christmas layout today on the Wild Whisper Blog, and I'm excited to share the non-Christmas supplies I'm using ;) I love looking back on old photos and these ones where my two youngest were so little make my heart happy!! They always had so much fun playing with the ornaments on the tree. It's funny looking at these years later I notice one of my girls has her treasured blanket close, as always, and the other has kicked off her socks - just like she still does, lol. I'm using the SCT365 2020 November layout sketch as my inspiration!

Mixed Media Fall Tag with Video! Watch now!

 Hello friends! I thought I would pop in to share the project I created Live on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Facebook Page yesterday! We made a mixed media fall tag with some new Wild Whisper goodies (don't forget to use the code DTKARLA to save 10% off at the Wild Whisper Shop 😉), Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays and Inks, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Krafty Kolours Inks and P13 paper!! 

You can follow the steps I used to make any mixed media tags - I'm definitely going to do these up for Christmas and Winter!! 

I even used up the extra ink spray to colour coordinate a seam binding ribbon and a separate tag that we used for diecuts and stamping!

Hey Santa... I Believe Layout!

Scrap Shotz Chat & Craft - Ep 1 - Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glazes!

Howdy! I thought I'd share a fun series we are starting on the Scrap Shotz Facebook Page - Chat & Craft, which is chatting and crafting, he he! I edited the video for YouTube below, and you can check out some fun techniques and tips when using the beautiful NEW Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glazes as well as follow along to create a beautiful stamped and embossed tag.

I pulled out these beautiful stamps from the Tim Holtz Modern Christmas Stamp set to create two pretty tags. I really love this set and most of the images can be used for more than just Christmas!

We played around with Vicki Boutin's Wildflower & Honey Stencils (on sale!), Distress Oxide Inks and the Ranger Embossing Dabber.

We even embossed on some pretty diecut ephemera pieces! These ones are from the Tim Holtz Botanical Set, but who doesn't have lots of ephemera laying around?!

The Embossing Glazes also worked beautifully on gold metal brads and some Tim Holtz Chit Chat Stickers... oh so many ideas!

You can find these fun Embossing Glazes in the Scrap Shotz store! I'm sure you'll have as much fun playing with them as I do!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Saturday Challenge #516 - Combine Your Stamp Sets - and a SALE!

Hello!! I'm so excited to be back today with a fun new Saturday Challenge from the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog. This week we are challenging you to Combine Your Stamp Sets. It's always fun to pick up new goodies, but when you can combine them with other sets you have - bonus! *Be sure to check out the code below for an awesome sale in the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop!!

I pulled out 5 different sets to use on this card!! On the front I'm using Snowflake Kisses- I embossed the snowflakes with Stampendous Shabby Blue embossing powder and used a sentiment from the set stamped in Crisp Crimson Krafty Kolours Ink, the adorable Jolly Happy Snowmen -coloured with watercolour markers (PS You can check out the colouring video for that HERE) and Solid Holiday to stamp the yummy cup of hot cocoa! I used Rainbow Krafty Dots to add three pops of red at the bottom of the card. 

I coordinated the stamped images to match colours in the Crate Paper Snowflake Collection and added some puffy marshmallows and bits of snow on the sentiment strip with a snow marker, which puffs when heated.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment and another cup of cocoa with the 5th set - Beary Big Hugs using the Crisp Crimson and Marvelous Mocha Inks.

Of course you don't need to use more than 2 stamps, but I wanted to challenge myself, and I had fun mixing and matching sentiments and stamps!

Christmas Crafting with Wild Whisper!

Snowy Season's Greetings Card!

Hello friends! I'm back today with a snowy Season's Greetings card using embossing powders, brads and stamps from Emerald Creek along with Distress Oxide Sprays and Kraftin' Kimmie Ink. The challenge on the Emerald Creek Blog this month is a wintry one with inspiration from the song Aspenglow by John Denver. I chose to use the Mountain Range stamp and a pretty snowflake stencil, and I think it looks very wintry indeed!

Fright Night Home Decor Tag!

Hello! Well, October is sneaking by, but I feel like I am not going to miss Halloween this year 😜 as I've had lots of fun creating spooky projects!
