3 Cheers for Green Beers!

Hello friends! I simply had to pop in quick to share this cute little St. Patrick's Day tag with you using the Lucky stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps! I used two of the sentiments in the set - how cute is the Green Beers along with the leprechaun, clover and mug of beer.

I've been playing around with my new Distress Oxide Inks and I combined the Cracked Pistachio Oxide Ink with two of the regular green Distress Inks (of course I had to use Lucky Clover ;) I even coloured my piece of white silk ribbon with the inks after applying them to my tag. Then, I stamped on this cute little leprechaun.

I coloured him with my Jane Davenport Magic Wand coloured pencils. It makes me feel magical just using these! I added a few white highlights with a gel pen and some Stickles along with A Day In The Woods sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. For the mug of green beer I topped it with liquid embossing in white and puffed it up with a heat gun and then added some Distress Ink watered down. A bit of Stickles right on top and he's ready to celebrate!

Kiss Me I'm Irish St. Patrick's Day Card!

Hi crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend :) It was cold here so we stayed in on Saturday and had a crafty day - my favourite! I had downloaded this sweet Irish Kisses Digital Stamp image and sentiment from Craftin Desert Divas a while ago and figured I should put it together as a lovely card for one of my daughters! We have gotten into crafting and decorating a bit more for St. Patrick's Day the last couple years as the school always has a Leprechaun Trap contest and the girls like making some fun creations! My 10 year old actually refused to make a trap one year, but instead made a little B&B of sorts - just in case the leprechaun wanted to take a little relaxing break, lol ;)

After printing this cutie onto white cardstock I used Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers to colour her in. I coloured the shamrocks at the same time and then added some white gel pen highlights and a few drops of shiny Stickles.

I twirled some sparkly green thread around my fingers and tucked it under the pretty shamrock. A few lovely sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps add some more shiny fun!

Inside, I added a happy sentiment from the Lucky Pretty Cute Stamp set and a few more sequins for bling!

Even though I'm not actually Irish I thought my daughter would love this card!

If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images. If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For my project I've chosen to use the adorable clover treat box by Dreaming Tree, our sponsor, as well as Cricut cuts from the Simply Charmed (lucky & leprechaun cuts) and St. Patrick's Day (rainbow) Cartridges. A bit of Distress Inking gives shading to the edges of my cuts, and then I filled my treat box with Easter grass and used popsicle sticks to create stands for my Cricut cuts so they can pop out of the basket. 

I like to avoid cutting multiple colours of cuts that are tiny, so often I will sync all the small cuts in Cricut Design Space to cut on white cardstock and then colour them myself after. I used alcohol markers to colour in the cheeks, hat buckle and button and sponged on Distress Ink to colour the leprechaun face. I also cut the middle strip of the rainbow white and then sprayed with a gold mist for shimmer. 

I used an older CTMH stamp for the St. Patrick's Day sentiment. I was able to bend the stamp to fit the rainbow since it is a clear stamp.

I stamped a script stamp with Versamark Ink and used Perfect Pearls to add a shimmery gold script on the treat box clovers.

Happy St. Paddy's Day

Not that I'm much of a St. Patrick's Day celebrator; I'll probably have a glass of wine instead of green beer, but I thought it would still be fun to make a cute green tag in honour of the day!

I cut my tag from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The funny thing is I searched for St. Patrick's Day images but couldn't find anything within the cartridges I owned on my Gypsy. I was going to cut a butterfly tag and make something from that when I spied the clover!

I used Dylusions spray inks to mist Kraft cardstock, which I had cut two tags from, one with the clover cut out and one plain. I misted the top tag over the back first, using the clover as a mask to make the shape, which I outlined with white gel pen. Then I placed the cut out image over the sprayed clover and misted again to colour the rest of the tag back. On the other side of the back tag I used Distress inks to colour in the part of the tag that would show through the clover cut on the front. I misted with gold spray and glued the two tags together. I stamped the sentiment and butterflies with a Close To My Heart stamp set, Pair-a-Phrase. I gave everything a light spritz with the gold spray and coloured in the butterflies with coloured pencils, then added a few Stickle accents and some green gingham ribbon and cream yarn.

I used the cutouts from two butterfly tags I die cut as well and popped them up with foam tape after using some Distress Inks to colour them in. This lucky sentiment from CTMH was perfect!
