SpiegelMom Scraps - Saying Goodbye!

Wow! I cannot believe a whole year has passed since I joined the SpiegelMom Scraps team! What a wonderful Design Team to be on!! This is my last post with them as I have decided to see where things take me this year. I know I want to 'catch up' ;) on some scrapbooking for me, maybe focus on some more YouTube videos... but one thing is for sure - you'll definitely still be seeing lots of SMS sequins on my projects! For my last card I wanted to use this adorable image from the monthly challenge at the Gerda Steiner Designs blog - Gnome Couple Digi Image. One of the fun things about using these images is that just by linking up to the challenge you'll receive next month's challenge image FREE! I created a neat embossed background with the Emerald Creek Spiced Candy Aroma embossing powder. It actually smells like red hot candies - even after embossing!

I used sentiments on the front and inside of the card using sentiments from the Gnomies stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps and added a pretty Little Birdie Crafts handmade flower to the front. That cute Gnome Couple are layered on a piece of recycled packaging from the flower pack, diecut with an oval stitched die.

You can check out all the details on the SpiegelMom Scraps Instagram post HERE! You'll also find a discount code in the feed good until April 29th 😉

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to pop back nice and early tomorrow morning as I'll have a fabulous HOP video to share with you, and have a wonderful, crafty weekend!

Kitty Bee Designs - Definitely Tea Panda

Hello! I'm over on the Kitty Bee Designs blog today sharing a card using this adorable little Kitty Bee Designs Definitely Tea Panda digi stamp! It is finally spring here in Alberta (this week anyway ;) so I'm definitely in the mood for some bright spring colours. And, being a tea-lover this was a super easy image to have fun with! I used a pretty pink polka dot paper that was included in last month's Sampler Kit from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine and then layered on some sweet papers from Your Next Stamp.

I coloured this cutie up with Jane Davenport Magic Wand coloured pencils and added some white gel pen highlights before cutting her out with a stitched die. The sweet little sentiment from Your Next Stamp worked perfectly heat embossed on black cardstock with white powder! Don't be afraid to pull out other stamp sets you have to combine them with your digis. I added a few pretty SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and a cute cork heart to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs shop to see all the sweet images available as well as the Kitty Bee Designs blog for much for inspiration! and

Sparkle N Sprinkle

I'm sharing a sweet little rainy day digital image - April Showers from Sparkle N Sprinkle on this lovely spring card today! I used my Jane Davenport Magic Wand colouring pencils to colour the image and then cut it out with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. A little foam tape gives the focal image some dimension after layering it on pretty My Mind's Eye, BoBunny and Your Next Stamp papers - all edged with Distress Inks. The pretty MME flower brad and a couple butterfly confetti's with gems add to the spring feel. I found the perfect rainy day sentiment to add from a Pretty Cute Stamp set!

I added details to the boots and umbrellas with gel pens and used blue Stickles to add glittery highlights to the raindrops.

Inside, I used another sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps and a third butterfly confetti embellishment.

Kitty Bee Designs #114 - Baby!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #114 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #114 - Baby!

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge

Scrap N' Dipity - http://scrapndipity.com

and

Today, I'm using an adorable digi image from the Kitty Bee Designs shop - Gello Giraffe Toy as a focal image for this sweet baby card!

I printed this cute giraffe out onto kraft cardstock and then cut him out with a stitched circle die. I picked up some Gamsol a while ago and wanted to try it out with my Jane Davenport Magic Wand coloured pencils, and I'm excited about how it turned out! I used some paper stumps from Michaels to apply the Gamsol and blend the coloured pencils. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube, and it's a fun way to change up some of your colouring techniques.

Inside I added a sentiment from Your Next Stamp, stamped with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink for the Congratulations and Black Archival ink for the rest of the sentiment.

I layered on some Canvas Corp papers and added some floss, a flower and a button along with a few sequins and some bling to finish it of.

FCCB #306 - Anything Goes!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #306-Anything Goes!
Create a project that features anything in the Cricut Library!

This Weeks Sponsor

Bugaboo Stamps

The prize is 4 digital stamps!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For my project today I'm using the adorable BugXmasTroll digital stamp from our awesome sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps! Isn't she adorable?!! I know it's early, but before you know it.... you know what will be here ;) and this year I'm going to be ready. For me, that means not rushing around to make cute Christmas cards! I really want to enjoy the making process and from past experience I know how quickly time flies once September arrives with back to school and all that jazz. So, I'm not wishing away my summer, but I do enjoy making Christmas cards - so I figured why not get started!

I started off by cutting a piece of patterned paper from a Heartfelt Creations 12x12 page and sponging some Distress Ink around the edge. Then, I layered my Cricut diecuts - a scalloped frame from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge, a Christmas heart tab from the Simply Sweet cartridge and the holly berries from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.

I printed my cute Christmas troll out onto kraft cardstock and coloured her in with Jane Davenport coloured pencils. I really love the look of coloured pencils on kraft! After she was done I added some Stickles for bling on her earrings, some glittery gel pen and white gel pen accents and added Glossy Accents on top of the peppermint candies and candy cane.

Inside, I used a strip of coordinating paper and added a Tim Holtz sentiment stamp from the Crazy Sentiments stamp set, along with a few more beautiful SpiegelMom Scraps sequins.

A little Nuvo silver dots around my scalloped border and some shiny Perfect Pearls on the holly berries add just a little more glitter ;) Ok! one card down....! And thanks to my friend Theresa for all the amazing crafty Christmas card inspiration each week!

3 Cheers for Green Beers!

Hello friends! I simply had to pop in quick to share this cute little St. Patrick's Day tag with you using the Lucky stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps! I used two of the sentiments in the set - how cute is the Green Beers along with the leprechaun, clover and mug of beer.

I've been playing around with my new Distress Oxide Inks and I combined the Cracked Pistachio Oxide Ink with two of the regular green Distress Inks (of course I had to use Lucky Clover ;) I even coloured my piece of white silk ribbon with the inks after applying them to my tag. Then, I stamped on this cute little leprechaun.

I coloured him with my Jane Davenport Magic Wand coloured pencils. It makes me feel magical just using these! I added a few white highlights with a gel pen and some Stickles along with A Day In The Woods sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. For the mug of green beer I topped it with liquid embossing in white and puffed it up with a heat gun and then added some Distress Ink watered down. A bit of Stickles right on top and he's ready to celebrate!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a Happy St. Patrick's Day this Friday!!

New Valentine Animals from Pretty Cute Stamps!

Hello! I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend :) We had a great weekend here - the weather has finally warmed up a bit, and we watched the movie Trolls over the weekend for our Family Movie night and our girls loved it!! It's so funny how many older songs are on the new kids' movie soundtracks now. I feel kinda cool knowing all the words ;) lol. We also did a bit of shopping and went swimming at our local YMCA. And, of course, I fit in some crafting!

I am so super excited to share some of the new designs that Lisa at Pretty Cute Stamps has come out with!! She put these adorable images in the shop this week and I thought they'd be perfect to whip up some adorable Valentines for some little family friends. I started off by opening up PicMonkey (one of my fav tools to work with digi stamps!) and adding a white jpeg. I simply saved a project life card to my computer and use it as a base. Then, I add layers to the white background by choosing to 'add an overlay' from my computer. I choose the PNG versions of the stamps and sentiments I want to add and arrange them as desired. Using the PNG version allows you to layer the images as if you were 'masking' them in regular stamping - but way easier! You can even change the colour of the image with a click! I coloured my sentiments and printed my animals in black. I even added a second adorable ostrich to the card on the bottom right and clicked the arrow button to flip him so they were facing each other. Easy peasy! I then used my new Jane Davenport Magic Wand coloured pencils to colour in my images, adding some shading in different areas.

I used these wonderful food-safe Mini Glassine Bags from SpiegelMom Scraps to fill with some Conversation Hearts and added part of a doily, some red twine and a sequin heart from the Love Beats Sequin Mix.

I stamped Happy Valentines Day from the Be Mine Pretty Cute Stamps clear stamp set on the back of my cards and attached the goodies to the top of the card with a couple glue dots.

Here's a look at these amazing new digital stamps available right now at Pretty Cute Stamps

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a wonderful Monday!
