SpiegelMom Scraps - Coffee Canvas!

Hi friends! I'm posting on the SpiegelMom Scraps blog today and sharing this cool coffee canvas I painted while my girls & I were at Michaels recently. We dropped in and Michaels was providing the paint when you purchased a canvas. I opened Pinterest and found a coffee sign I liked and just hand sketched it and started painting! I think when you don't overthink it and just have fun with some things they end up being some of the things you like the best. And, of course, because I LOVE coffee, I love how this turned out! πŸ’™

Here's a look at what my girlies painted - and how the canvas looked before I added the words and awesome SpiegelMom Scraps Aquarius Sequin Mix! Amie painted a sunset, and Erica painted popsicles with ears!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to pop over to the SpiegelMom Scraps blog to check out all the details and closeups, and have a really fabulous day!!πŸ˜—

Scrap 'N Stamp - Stamptember Blog Hop!

Hello friends!! I'm back today with a fun blog hop as a Guest Designer with my friends at Scrap 'N Stamp! If you've arrived here from Tara at the Scrap 'N Stamp blog, you're in the right place as she's at the start of the hop. We are all sharing projects today using the amazing Memory Box Postage Stamp Die, which is on SALE right now for 25% off!!

I was really impressed with how nicely this die was able to cut through my cardstock. And, I loved that it not only cuts 5 individual stamps, but also has a border die included that I used around the edges of my larger background layer. I added some Prima postage patterned paper from my stash and used a ribbon and one of the awesome vintage light bulb charms from the Maya Road - Ken Oliver Vintage Bulbs and Keys embellishments.

I decided to use the Lawn Fawn Love Letters stamps set and stamp directly onto the Recollections Watercolour patterned paper I was using. I used some Prismacolor coloured pencils to colour in the images and added a couple of adorable envelopes.

Inside and on the envelope, I added another diecut postage stamp - I'm thinking these would be adorable on some DIY handmade tags tucked in and stamped on.... πŸ’•And, I added another envelope and some more SpiegelMom Scraps sequins to coordinate with the front of the card.

I really enjoyed making this cute card, which I gave to a wonderful friend in a package of Happy Mail goodies - so really it was the perfectly coordinated card!

Here's the blog hop line-up:

FCCB #309 - Back To School!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #309-Back to School
Create a project that features anything about school

This Weeks Sponsor

The prize is 4 digital stamps!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

This year is my littlest one's first year of Kindergarten! I can't believe she is really starting... The time goes by so quick! She's really ready though and is looking forward to meeting her teacher and making new friends. Back to school is always an exciting time for my girls (and me ;). I remember buying school supplies and being so excited about the change of seasons. Fall is definitely my favourite! So, for this challenge I knew I wanted to make my girls each a card to celebrate back to school.

I'm using the super cute Bugaboo Digital Stamp 'Ava School Sign It' paired with Cricut cuts from the Classroom- Oct/Nov, Recess and Autumn Celebrations cartridges. I started off by opening the digi stamp in PicMonkey and adding the black on the chalkboard area and the white text over it. I even added some fun chalk effects in the background using the PicMonkey program.

After I printed them both off on white cardstock I used Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, both alcohol based, to colour in the cute Ava image.

I added some Distress Ink sponging around the edges and used a white paint pen to add a few white highlights to the digi image and diecuts.

A few shiny sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps in colours to match gives a little bling!

Inside, I added this fun diecut sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you had a great weekend - it's a holiday for us here today and then 'Back To School' Tuesday!! Be sure to check out all the other fun projects on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and enter your own for a chance to win!

Kitty Bee Designs - #102 Birthday!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #102 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #102

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge:

Drawn With Character

Oddball Art

This week I'm using the adorably sweet Josie & The Butterflies #207 from Oddball Art. I printed out the image and coloured her in with coloured pencils before cutting into a circle and adding it on top of a doily sponged with pink ink. I love the adorable eyes on this image!

I cut out one of the little butterflies and popped it up on foam dots. I thought I'd try shading around my image this time, and I like the dimension it gives.

This sweet sentiment came with the digi stamp and I printed it out in a pretty purple colour using PicMonkey. I added a stitched border die to the top and bottom edge and popped it up with foam dots.

I've had this Happy Birthday diecut in my diecut drawer for a while, so I decided to add it to the inside of the card with a bit of pink Distress Ink sponged on the edges.

The background paper is a resist paper from Tim Holtz that I've had in my stash, and it was perfect with the butterflies printed on it. I love being able to coordinate my background paper by colouring it with Distress Inks to match. A pretty bow and butterfly embellishment add to the whimsical feel of the card and a few SpiegelMom Scraps sequins finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge to see all the inspiration from the other awesome Design Team members - and enter your own project HERE for a chance to win!! Have a wonderful weekend!
