I coloured them up with Prima Watercolor Pencils and used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to outline them after stamping with Totally Taupe Ink for a no-line effect. I had some fun fall paper in my stash and thought it went beautifully with the Thanksgiving theme.

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps August Skrappy Challenge!

Good morning krafty friends! It's AUGUST and that means it's time for a brand new SKRAPPY CHALLENGE with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD! For this challenge I created some fun planner charms using Shrink Plastic and stamps from the Trendy Tees and Trendy Tees Icons Stamp Sets. This was such a fun project!! I first stamped on the white shrink plastic sheet with Totally Taupe Krafty Kolours Ink and then carefully coloured in the images with Copic Markers.

planner, planner charms, diy, kraftin' kimmie stamps, trendy tees, stamping, copics

I added some sponging around the edges with Sparkling Sapphire and Raspberry Rose Inks and used Yummy Yellow to sponge on the stars from the Pattern Parade Stencil before stamping with the star from the Trendy Tees Icons set. The colours all become bolder and brighter after shrinking! I diecut the tag and oval using dies from my stash and added a couple hole punches. I fussy cut the mamma out, and I simply used my heat gun to shrink all the charms! As long as you stick the tip of your heat resistant (I used Tim Holtz) scissors into the little hole you can prevent the charms from flying across the table 😉 and they shrink up very quickly. I added some jump rings and attached them to a lobster clasp with a fun little tassel! My girls have been making shrink plastic earrings all week - I may have to try these next!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card! So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like! Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!

You have until Monday, August 31st to enter and you can submit as many new creations as you like for more chances to WIN!  You can link your project to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog, and/or share your designs on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps' Krafty Friends facebook page because we love to see your stuff! Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge #541 - Christmas In July!

Good morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing? We've got some fabulous ideas for you and can't wait to see what you create! This week our challenge for you is 🎄CHRISTMAS IN JULY🎅! I love creating for Christmas, and what better time to get a head start on those cards than now while there is time to enjoy all the crafty loveliness!! I decided to use both the Elf-tacular and Holly Jolly Ornaments Stamp Sets to create a festive slimline card!

I coloured up this adorable elf and his candy canes with Copic Markers and added a little snowy hill for him to stand on. I absolutely love the scripty sentiments in the ornament stamp set, and I added a speech bubble to the card with the holly jolly sentiment on it.

I stamped the ornaments in Magical Midnight, Crisp Crimson, Bubbly Blue and Goblin Green Krafty Kolours Inks and then used a Nuvo Glitter Gloss pen to add shiny highlights over top. The star from the ornament set is embossed with some sparkly Wow embossing powder!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like. These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and products will earn you double entries! The monthly prize is a 25$ voucher to the Krafty shop!!! Woohoo!  There are two ways to enter: you can link up your creation on the  Kraftin’ Kimmie blog page and you can upload your pohoto to the album in our Krafty Friends FB group.

Hey Santa... I Believe Layout!

Hello! I'm back again today with a festive Christmas In July layout that I'm sharing on the Wild Whisper Designs Blog! I found this photo of my daughter sitting on Santa's knee when she was almost 4 - and she's 13 now - so I knew I had to use it for this layout!!

A fun fact.. I didn't use any Christmas themed Wild Whisper supplies for this layout - so you're definitely going to have to check out the Wild Whisper Designs Blog for details on all the collections I used as well as see fun closeups! 🌟 Don't forget to use the code DTKARLA to save 10% off at the Wild Whisper Shop and have an amazing weekend!
