Your Next Stamp - June Guest Designer!

Hi there friends! I did say I had some exciting news to share with you today, and here it is! I'm so so excited to be Guest Designing with Your Next Stamp this month!! They have the CUTEST stamps and dies and they also carry papers, inks and embellishments! I can't wait to share all the wonderful creations I've made with you all month long. Today, being the first, there's a fun INTRO on the Your Next Stamp blog which introduces any of the Guest Designers for the month - and I'm so honoured to be a part of it.

For my card today I used the Waddles Rainbow Fun stamp set. It is so adorable :) I stamped this cutie and the rainbow on watercolour paper and coloured him in with some Twinkling H2O's and Shimmerz Inklingz watercolours and then used some Distress Ink for the background. The Swoosh sentiment just goes perfectly!

I popped up Waddles sliding down the rainbow as well as one of the clouds included in the stamp set to add some dimension and also added a cute little wood veneer heart. My Spellbinders Nestabilities dies worked great to cut out my little scene and add a border with some pretty spring paper.

I added a loopy bow with a pretty button from Buttons Galore and some sparkly SpiegelMom Scraps sequins to embellish, along with some layers of paper punched with an AC border punch.

Inside, I used this awesome sentiment from the set, more sequins and this cute penguin image!

Here's a look at everything you can find on the Waddles Rainbow Fun stamp set:

You'll definitely want to put the Your Next Stamp blog on your list to check out - every month they have new releases, sales, colour and sketch challenges (where you can use whatever stamp you have), giveaways and tons of inspiration! There are so many chances to win with them each month, it's amazing!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll see you back soon :)

Storytime Scrapbook Layout!

Hello friends! I can't believe it's Wednesday already... Wow the time flies! Over the weekend I was lucky enough to spend a whole day scrapbooking with one of my crafty besties, and even though I didn't get much done I had a whole lot of fun!! And that's what it's about, right?!! I try not to pack too much when I go to a crop, because I know if I get 3 layouts done in one whole day that's a lot for me - and that's ok. I grabbed some photos, my print out of sketches from the Ready, Sketch, Go class taught by Tracie Claiborne and Jen Schow (which is fabulous!) and a couple paper packs along with some embellishments, stamps, inks and a few other fun things I want to throw in.

I did manage to get this layout done with my two youngest girls reading together a few years ago. I started off with some white cardstock layered over a black and white patterned paper, and I used Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks to do an ink smooshing technique.

I pulled out the Lori Whitlock Petticoats and Pinstripes collection from Echo Park to use on this layout. I love the colours and the coordinating stickers in the pack! I loved the way my friend was creating a layout and using foam dots to pop up some of her photos, so I tried it with my center photo and I loved it. Another great reason to get together and scrap with friends... you never know when you'll see an idea that you can't believe you never tried before!

I used embroidery floss to add some cross stitching to the corner of my layout by first pre-punching the holes with a paper piercing tool. Some enamel dots and SpiegelMom Scraps cork confetti heart and sequins add embellishment layered over the paper and stickers.

I used one of the sketches from the Ready, Sketch, Go class for my layout and layered my papers and photos down according to the sketch before embellishing with lots of fun goodies! The sticker letters were included in the paper pack, which was perfect!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check back tomorrow for some exciting news!! ;)

Kitty Bee Designs - Bunny Gift Card Holder!

Hello crafty friends! I'm posting over at the Kitty Bee Designs blog today and showing off this adorable Sleeping Mushroom Bun Kitty Bee Designs Digital Stamp on this cute folded gift card holder!

We are coming up to the end of the school year, and I have lots of gift cards to give out to teachers. I thought this would be a cute way to dress them up and add a special touch to their end of the year gifts! I coloured this cute digi stamp in with my Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, added white gel pen for highlights, and then used a Spellbinders die to cut him out.

I embellished the box with SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and a sparkly clear jelly roll pen for some sparkle, a loopy ribbon bow, and a button from Buttons Galore and More.

Here's a look at the box opened up. I added a little adhesive Velcro tab to keep it closed and wrapped the gift card in some pretty patterned tissue paper wrapped with bakers twine and a tag.

If you want directions to make your own folded box you can follow along with this video by Angie from Chic'n Scratch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Kitty Bee Designs store to pick out your favourite stamp, and I hope you have a great week!!

Wild Whisper - World's Best Grandma Double Page Layout!

Hello friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had a lovely Mother's Day Brunch with my fam and got to relax and even have some crafty time <3

I'm over at the Wild Whisper Blog today to share a double page layout I made using the new World's Best collection. This is such a beautiful collection that can be used for Mother's Day and Father's Day as well as spring layouts and cards! Since the colours match beautifully with the previously released collections you can mix and match easily as well. Here's a look at the layout I made celebrating my mother-in-law's visit a couple weeks ago.

I used the National Scrapbook Day sketch challenge from Suzanne Lee as a starting point to create the left page and used Sara Scraps challenge to use spring colours. The challenges are going on all month and can be found on the Wild Whisper Instagram and SpiegelMom Scraps Instagram pages. Remember to use the hashtags #WWINSD17 #smsnsd17 and say what challenge you're joining to be eligible to win prizes!

You can check out the process video HERE for this layout!

Be sure to head over to the Wild Whisper blog to get all the details and see the closeups!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have an awesome week ahead :)

FCCB #301 - Animals!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #301-Animals
Make a project about any kind of animal-dogs, cats, horses, cows, etc!

The FCCB Design Team is sponsoring a $25 gift card at

Amazon!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For my project I'm using cuts from the Twinkle Toes Cricut cartridge. There are so many cute cuts on this cart! I found this sweet flamingo and combined it with the spotlight and sentiment to create a card that would work for a birthday, congrats or graduation!

I added some Stickles glitter glue on my project along with some sparkly fun sequins and cork from SpiegelMom Scraps. I love the cute tu-tu and bow this flamingo is sporting!

I even added some sparkle to the diecut sentiment and used Glossy Accents to fill in the 'spotlight' word.

And now for the WINNER's announcement for the $10 SpiegelMom Scraps gift certificate drawn from all the commenters from the last FCCB Challenge! The winner, drawn by Random.org is....

Great projects

Susan, you have two weeks to contact me to claim your prize! Please send me an email to karlajyungwirth at gmail dot com.

Kitty Bee Designs Challenge #94 - Anything Goes w/optional twist - For Mom

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #94 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #94
Anything Goes with Optional Twist: For Mom

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge

and

For this challenge I'm working with two adorable digi stamps from My Besties. The first one is the 4Besties Zen Art Dolls image, and I created a cute little card using this week's sketch from Mojo Monday. I coloured in this sweet little girl and her puppy with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are alcohol based and layered them on some patterned papers from a 6x6 paper pad.

I used some pretty sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps all around my card front and fussy cut out the flower images too.

I love how happy she looks, and the bright colours and layers make me happy too!

For my second project I used  Vintage Style Besties to create this pretty tag with a watercolour background using Distress Inks. I sponged on the inks and then spritzed them with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist to blend the inks and give the tag a glittery shimmer.

I used my alcohol markers again to colour in this cutie and a white Dylusions Paint pen for highlights. The Hello Sunshine sentiment is taken from a Recollections watercolour resist paper pad, so a bit of Distress Inks again created a fun effect.

I made a loopy ribbon bow and added a button and some sequins from 28 Lilac Lane along with a couple wooden embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge to see all the inspiration from the other awesome Design Team members - and enter your own project HERE for a chance to win!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Go Wild NSD Layout!

Hello! Have you been having a wonderful National Scrapbooking 'weekend'?!! The day really has turned into a weekend for me and I've been sneaking in as much scrappin' as I can! I'm on the SpiegelMom Scraps Instagram today with a challenge that I'm hosting - Cluster It! Basically, I want to see a cluster on your layout - so get out those papers and embellies and start clustering!

For this challenge I've created this fun layout of my daughter's Funny Hair Day at Preschool. Her bucket of toy plastic dinos is one of her favourite toys to play with and she was so excited when her older sister suggested clipping them into her hair this day. Most of them were even still in when it was time to come home, lol! There were some pretty cool hairdo's that day, but I think hers was the best ;)

I used the May sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine as a starting point with this layout, and grabbed some Wild Whisper stamps, SpiegelMom Scraps cork, sequins, twine and felt, papers and diecuts and started layering!

I cut out a cool camera from the Wild Whisper Focus On You paper and clustered it with some Raspberry Burlap String and a wood veneer embellishment. I also added sequins above and below my cluster.

I layered some circle and heart diecuts along with some clouds and arrows from the FREE You Are My Sunshine cutfile on the SMS blog.

These cute dinos from the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge were cut from the Wild Whisper papers. I absolutely love the heavy weight of this cardstock and it diecuts beautifully! More sequins and a little Cork Star add another cluster around my photo, while a fussy cut camera, twine and sequins cluster around my journaling.

Here's a look at all the fun sequins I used on my layout! You can find them in the SpiegelMom Scraps shop HERE.

And don't forget to use the code KARLA15 to save 15% off your order at the store!

I'd love to see what you create with the Cluster It challenge - and be sure to check out what all the other Designers have come up with for NSD! Make sure to use the hashtags below in Instagram (and mention which challenge your layout is based on) so we can see what you create and you can be eligible to win a prize!! The challenges are open all month long.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're enjoying a happy and crafty weekend :)
