Adventure Panda Card!

Hello my sweet friends! I'm over on the Kitty Bee Designs Blog today with my last post for this awesome design team. I have loved working with all these wonderful girls and the fabulous stamps and digis from the Etsy Shop, but sometimes the time comes where you need to move on and do something different. I'm not exactly sure what 'different' is right now, but I'm feeling like I want to spend a little extra time organizing my house, getting my photos into albums and hanging out with the family - especially with warm weather on the horizon. I will always be a fan of the Kitty Bee Designs stamps though, and hope you'll continue to check the blog for all the wonderful designs the team comes up with! Today, I'm sharing the super cute Kitty Bee Designs Cloud Sitting Panda Clear Stamp coloured with Hobby Colour Markers and Copics which I cut out with a stitched circle die.

This cute paper airplane paper was just perfect to go with the sweet pilot panda. I even cut out some of the images to pop up around the card. Along with an 'adventure' sticker, this card will be great to pass along to someone who may be traveling, graduating or just heading down a new path.

Inside, I used a fitting stamp from Wild Whisper Designs. I think mixing and matching images and stamps is a great way to get more out of your supplies. (PS Be sure to use the code DTKARLA to save 10% off your order at the Wild Whisper Shop!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic week and enjoy any adventures coming your way.

Happy Spring Bunny Card!

Hello! I honestly cannot believe it's April and Easter is so close... Today I'm sharing a sweet spring card using the Easter Bunnies Digital Stamp Bundle set from Gerda Steiner Designs. It's a really cute bundle that includes lots of images perfect for Spring, Easter and more, because I think bunnies work for any occasion 😉 The image I chose to work with today is a cute bunny painting on an easel. I coloured everything in with Prismacolor, Hobby Colour and Copic Markers, all alcohol based. The Happy Spring is from a Pretty Cute Stamps set in my stash and I'm using some Lawn Fawn spring paper and a Pretty Pink Posh die. The sweet little flower brad is from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies.

Be sure to head over to the Gerda Steiner Designs blog to check out all the details and closeups on this card, and have a very happy, and very crafty week ahead!

Kitty Bee Designs #130 - Halloween/Fall!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #130 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #130
Halloween/Fall

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge
and

For this challenge I'm sharing the adorable Winnie Wednesday Skull digi image from Polkadoodles! You can purchase her as a digital image either coloured or uncoloured. I decided to colour her in myself, but the precoloured image is really cute too!

I used some Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers to colour her in after printing the image on regular white cardstock. I always print in 'fast draft' to lay down a lighter amount of ink and since the lines are fairly fine this resembles a no-line colouring technique, which is always fun to try!

I used some Lawn Fawn and Simple Stories papers and grabbed diecuts from Your Next Stamp, Kaisercraft, Waffleflower and Sizzix to cut out various elements for this card.

Inside, I stamped a cute greeting from a Lawn Fawn stamp set with Distress Oxide Ink.

I popped up some of the elements with foam tape and used the Simple Stories Vintage Halloween papers to add sentiments and those cute pumpkins. A bit of gel pen highlights adds some detail to the image to finish it off.

Kitty Bee Designs - Owl Witch Halloween Card!

Hello! We are counting down to Halloween at my house, and I have a cute little card to share with you today using Kitty Bee Designs Owl Witch digital stamp! I used some Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, both alcohol based, to colour this sweetie up after printing her on white cardstock. I love adding gel pen details - white on the body and blue on the hat.

I embossed the background with a Tim Holtz embossing folder that resembles shattered ice, but I felt like with the owl sitting in the middle, on top of the 'tree branch' sentiment - it kind of looked like a spooky tree in the background! I stamped the sentiment with a Tim Holtz crazy sentiment stamp and added clear round enamel dots and SpiegelMom Scrap star sequins.

Inside, I stamped a Tim Holtz Halloween stamp with blue Distress Oxide Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have an awesome week, and be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs Blog and Shop for so much more inspiration!

and
Fabrika Fantasy - http://www.fabrikafantasy.com/

For this challenge I'm using the adorable Sweet Unicorn digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps! I decided to colour him up with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers, which are alcohol based, in a light pastel colour scheme. I added some glitter to the clouds and painted on some sparkly wings as well as adding some white gel pen highlights. I used a Your Next Stamp scalloped stitched rectangle to cut out around the printed and coloured image.

I pulled out my September SCT Sampler pack and used a piece of pink paper from the Vicki Boutin Field Notes collection along with the fun sentiment paper from the My Mind's Eye Well Hello collection as a base for the card. I popped up the cute unicorn image with some foam tape to give some dimension.

I added some thread loops on the bottom and tacked them under a cork heart that I embossed with one of Emerald Creek Craft Supplies new embossing powders - Magical Mysteries Kiss of The Fairy and then glued on some gorgeous SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins (don't forget to use the code KARLA15 at the SMS Shop to save 15%)

Inside, I used sentiment stamps from Hello Bluebird and added some Your Next Stamp stitched cloud diecuts.  This card is ready to send to a friend to say hi or for a special occasion!

Sparkle N Sprinkle - https://sparklensprinkle.net/

For this week's challenge I'm using the super sweet Puppy Love digi image by Limited Runs. Is he not the cutest?!!  I coloured him in with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, both alcohol based, and added a few white gel pen details.

I used a Hello Bluebird die set that comes with the stitched frame and the hello diecut along with that tiny heart and layered them over the background sponged with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink. The SMILE and 'You've got mail' sentiments are also from Hello Bluebird Stamps and I love how they fit with the Happy Mail feel of the card.

Inside, I stamped a thank you sentiment with another Hello Bluebird Stamps set using Archival Ink and adding a tiny flower diecut, also in the die set above.

I'm going to send this card to my daughter's teacher to thank her for a wonderful first week of school! Both girls have been over the moon about their teachers and starting a new year - so what could be better than that!

Kitty Bee Designs - Happy Birthday Laundry Card!

Hi friends! I'm back today to share a sweet little birthday card with you using the adorable Kitty Bee Designs digi stamp! I don't usually do clean and simple, but today I really wanted to focus on this sweet little image and a Distress Oxide background, and I really do love how it turned out! I used blending foam and sponged on Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar in a diagonal pattern on Bristol Cardstock. It is a smooth cardstock that is thick enough to withstand some added water. I then spritzed with water and let dry partially before finishing with a heat gun. The Distress Oxides blend beautifully and react with water to create an instant cool background!

I used Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers, both alcohol based, to colour in the image, which is printed on a 65lb white cardstock base. I then used a Kaisercraft stitched circle die to cut him out and added some white gel pen highlights.

I wrapped some white and purple baker's twine around the background and then layered the image over top, adding foam tape for dimension. I stamped the Lawn Fawn sentiment with purple Archival Ink and added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins. (don't forget to use the code KARLA15 to save 15% off your purchases at the SMS shop!)

Inside, I added the rest of the sentiment and a few more sequins. If you do a simple Google or Pinterest search for 'laundry quotes' you'll find tons of sentiments you could use!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #124 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

For this awesome challenge I'm using the adorable Amy Loves Books digi image from Sasayaki Glitter. I thought she was so sweet with her stack of books! My girls love to read, and I think books are so important, so this was a really fun card for me to make. I'm thinking I'll give it to my 11 year old for her first day back to school in September. I coloured this sweet image in using Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, both alcohol based, and added some detailing with a white gel pen.

The papers and ephemera that were included in the May SCT Sampler Pack (from Pinkfresh Studio 'Let Your Heart Decide' and Simple Stories 'I Am' collections) were just right to add behind the image. I even planned my colours based on the papers!  I used a Pinterest sketch as a starting point and drew a rough black pen line around the edges of my papers for definitition. I used a stitched circle diecut to cut out part of one of the papers with the love and hearts printed on it and popped it up with foam dots to use as an embellishment along with the pretty sequin and enamel dot from the sampler pack.

Kitty Bee Designs - Coffee Gift Card Holder!

Hello! I hope you’ve been having a wonderful week friends! We are finishing off the last week of school here and getting our teacher gifts together. I thought this adorable Kitty Bee Designs - Venti Coffee Panda Girl was just perfect for the front of this sweet coffee gift card holder greeting card!

I used Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers to colour in the cute image and then I cut it out with a Waffle Flower stitched die before layering on the Tim Holtz Gift Card Holder Bag from Sizzix. The pretty, bright papers from Your Next Stamp matched the colours I used on the image and I got inspiration for the design from the June Scrap Shotz  card sketch. (You have until the end of the month to enter!)

I cut a piece of patterned paper to create a tag and stamped on a sentiment from a Pretty Cute Stamps set with Pink Distress Oxide Ink. I’ll attach a coffee gift card to the tag with glue dots so it can easily be removed. Some pretty SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and a Little Birdie Crafts Burlap flower, altered with some shiny yellow Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, finish off the card.

We are so thankful for the amazing teachers the girls have been blessed to have this year, and this card is just a small token of our appreciation for them!
