Saturday Morning Breakfast!

Good morning all! Even though it's really cold out the sun is shining and its a beautiful Saturday morning!

I wanted to make a recipe this morning that I haven't made in years - an apple oven pancake. One of the great things I appreciate about the Internet is the ability to quickly look up a recipe - or several- and get started making what you want!

You can check out the recipe by clicking the link here - http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/23900/german-apple-pancake/

I baked it in a pie plate instead of a skillet and we cut it into wedges and served it with whipped cream and maple syrup, Witt scrambled eggs and fruit on the side.

The kids totally loved it!

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Heaven Sent Baby Girl!

Well, I'm on a roll creating a few more pretty baby pages for Erica's album! For this traditional page I used the February sketch from Scrapping Everyday Miracles and more Daisy D's paper that I've had in my stash for a while now.

I placed this layout in her album beside the pocket page (on the left) I did yesterday.  You can see the details on that layout here!

Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you have a lovely weekend and get to spend some time doing something inspirational for yourself!

Bimini Moose Feature - Beautiful Baby Pocket Pages!

I'm so excited to bring you a feature post for the Bimini Moose Challenge Blog! If you haven't had a chance to check out this blog, you are in for a treat! There is so much inspiration over there and as an added bonus a challenge every two weeks where you can link up your scrapbooking project and have a chance to win an awesome prize from Kadoodle Bug Designs!

I have lots of pics printed off in my house! Photos from when I was young, photos from before my kids were born, photos from 2010 till now that I've been working on getting into albums. I don't stress about these photos. They're all organized and I even put a little sticky tag on them indicating the date and a brief description of each set. It is my goal to get them into scrapbooks and pocket pages, but in the meantime I love being able to pull from a certain season or event to scrap what I feel like scrapping. So, today I felt like working on my baby girl, Erica's album. She's three now and asks me where the pictures are of her that she can look at... so that's my motivation to get these into an album!

A while ago I bought a bunch of baby girl scrapbooking supplies, and by a while ago I mean a couple years ago. You know that time when you think you'll surely have time to work on the baby album in a month or so. I think it's sleep deprivation or just clinging to hope that your life will return to a semblance of normal some day - when a small child won't be running the show.  Well, still waiting for that day, lol, but it's getting easier!

I used paper and stickers from Daisy D's and made my own journalling cards after placing the pictures I wanted into pockets. I also used Making Memories clear acrylic sheets that you place over your pics. I love how they look like rub-ons! I added one to each picture and I love how they are so subtle. I simply tucked them into the pocket with each horizontal picture, adding a small piece of clear two sided tape to the vertical pic to secure it.

Erica certainly is a miracle - we tried for a very long time to have her and didn't think it was going to happen. 6 months after making a decision to sell the crib and all our baby supplies we were so happy to find out God had blessed us with a miracle! It just goes to show you that you never know what path your life will take, so enjoy each moment, try not to stress too much, and trust that God knows what's best.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I am really feeling motivated to get more baby pics scrapped, so stay tuned for more to come :) Don't forget that you can link up your scrapbooking project - traditional or Project Life - on the current Bimini Moose Challenge! We'd love to see what you have going on!!

Pretty Cute Stamps Feature - Donut Worry!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I'm featuring a card for the Pretty Cute Stamps blog today, and I'm so glad you can join me! My girls are just getting over some colds and I just knew this super cute little Donut Worry stamp from Pretty Cute Stamps was just the thing to make them smile!! I used a paper pack from Pebbles, 'Front Porch', for all my background papers and glued on some fun coloured sequins. The scalloped circles were cut from the Cricut Explore and my iPad using the new Design Space App - Loving this!!

I paper pieced the donut and used Prismacolor Markers to add some shading and colour, along with some Stickles to add glitter and texture!

Inside, I added a few more sequins to go along with another amazing sentiment!

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope this little donut has made you smile :) You can check out this set and all the other amazing sets at the Pretty Cute Stamps store! Have a wonderful, crafty week friends!

Hello Cricut Card & Love Tag

I am really having so much fun with my Cricut Explore and the new iPad app! It is so nice to be able to link up with the bluetooth and cut wirelessly, and the Design Space app is really quite self explanatory.

These two projects were made with the Make It Now portion of the app - a quick way to cut a predesigned project! I used scraps from my blue scrap stash to cut most of my pieces - a great way to stashbust! I really like that I can save the Make It Now projects to my projects and customize them or even just use parts of them later. I will definitely be using the 'hello' die cut! I traced around the clouds with a light grey Prismacolor Marker to give a little shading and popped up the balloon to give it dimension.

I love mason jars and I was excited to see this adorable tag ready to cut! I used the silver Cricut Marker for the outlines and added some Stickles to the heart. I will definitely be cutting some more of these!

Thanks for joining me today!! I hope you're having a lovely Sunday and getting to have a little crafty time as well :)

Sprinkled With Smiles!

I am always amazed at how quickly the weekend goes by! We grabbed some groceries, had some play time with the girls, had tacos for supper and of course some crafty time - and already it's almost time for bed! But, I had to get in a quick post with this adorable Donut Worry stamp by Pretty Cute Stamps!

I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday and background papers from Pebbles 'Front Porch' 6x6 paper pad.

I paper pieced this cute donut stamp and added some Prismacolor Marker hightlights and Stickles.

 How cute is this sentiment?!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll let you in on a secret... I'll be sharing another card using this stamp in a few days!! It is just too cute to only use once ;) and I love seeing more than one way to use a stamp - so I hope you will too!

Bimini Moose Feature Post - Week 4!

I have been finding the hardest part of PL is sitting down to send my pics out for printing! I'm sure as I work on it I will find exactly the right way that works for me, but I feel like I need to set aside a chunk of time to chose all my week's pics, when really it doesn't take me that long, lol!

Week 4 seemed like a busy week for us! I finished 4 pages and my oldest daughter's Bridal Shower was on the Sunday, but I haven't decided yet if I will add a traditional layout along with my pocket pages for that part yet. So, I completed the rest of the week for now.  I'm really so happy with how PL is coming along - I love that I have so many pages of memories already in an album and that my kids can pick it up and look through it anytime.

I cut up a 'Jamberry' brochure to add to my journalling card showing details about Amie's nails.

I added journalling to the cards within the PL iPhone app and sent them to be printed along with my pics. I like having some pre-done journalling and then being able to add more handwritten notes when I prepare my layout.

For this page I made each half of the pocket page layout their own story - the left about the Glow In The Dark dance party and the left about the beautiful warm day at the park. I used the floral paper with the butterfly to accent the outdoors.

I love being able to make each little pocket it's own little scrapbook page!

I made my own journalling page with patterned paper, stickers and sequins!

More patterned paper and diecuts from the Made From Scratch kit by Echo Park.

Thanks so much for joining me and following along with the Yungwirth Family Life 2015! You can check out more PL ideas over at the Bimini Moose blog, where you can link up your own scrapbooking creations, traditional or Project Life, on the current challenge - and have a chance to win a very sweet cut file!
