Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice Card!

Hello friends! I'm over on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog today with a fresh fall card - perfect to celebrate cooler weather - and I'm thinking you could even tuck a coffee gift card for a special teacher inside! I am using the beautiful Grateful Pumpkins Stamp Set, which is 40% off all week!! It's a fabulous set to have for the upcoming autumn season. I used a Pumpkin Spice Latte coffee cup cutfile and my Cricut Maker along with paper from the P13 The Four Seasons - Autumn paper pad

Be sure to check out the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog for details and closeups! I'd love to know if you're looking forward to fall or hanging on to summer. Have an amazing week friends!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - How Have You Bean?!

Well, it is Spring, and I do LOVE coffee - so what better way to celebrate than to join in the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop?!! I used Sketch 490 from Mojo Monday as a guide and began creating!

I started off by heat embossing a cute coffee cup from the Pretty Cute Stamps Coffee Faces stamp set onto a piece of Tattered Angels 12x12 Pure Mistable Crepe Paper cut to fit my card. This paper is so cool! It is a lightweight textured paper that has a crepe paper effect when misted - and is available in other textures such as burlap, leather and more!

I used my Tattered Angels Mists from the English Garden Calendar Kit to spray the Mistable paper, and because the cup stamp was heat embossed with white it resisted the misting. I didn't spray the middle since it was going to be covered anyway. Then, I dried it with my heat gun.

I then used the same mists to paint in portions of this yummy Coffee Stamps On Kraft paper from Canvas Corp, just dipping my paint brush right into the mist bottles. I even used a circle punch to cut out one of the coffee images and glued it to a piece of Canvas Corp Aqua Burlap, handcut to a circle.

Here's a look at the  Tattered Angels English Garden Calendar Kit - where you get 4 coordinating mists in a smaller size to mix and match. There are tons of Calendar Kits available and are a great way to try them out and see what you love best! I used some of the White High Impact Paint to paint the edge of a burlap flower I found in my stash after misting it with the Iris Baseboard (purple) and Tutti Frutti (pink) mists from the kit.

I used one of the sentiments from the Pretty Cute Stamps Coffee Sentiments set on the diecut coffee cup cut from the PPPR Pumpkin Spice Latte cut file. I used some pretty Canvas Corp Kraft and White Chevron paper for the base of my cup and traced the cut coffee holder onto the back of a piece of the Canvas Corp White Flute paper. I love that the corrugated look of this paper actually looks like a coffee cup holder!!

I stamped a few coffee beans and added some lovely SpiegelMom Scraps sequins!

This was such a fun card to make, and I love the texture on that Mistable Paper! But now I'm totally craving a cup of coffee!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're having a fabulous week - and if you love coffee and spring - ummm, what's not to love?!! - hop over to the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! There's still a few more days to join in and lots of prizes to be won :)

FCCB #292 - Something New Card and VIDEO!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #292-Something New
Make a project using a new technique, cartridge, embellishment, etc.

This Weeks Sponsor

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

Any project that doesn't use a Cricut element will be deleted.

For my project this week I created a pretty watercoloured background card featuring NEW to me Happy Toaster Cutting Files from our awesome sponsor, Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons! I used Cricut Basic Shapes to cut a scalloped circle from a striped black 6x6" paper and layered it on a floral print paper cut to fit my kraft card base.

I've been playing with some NEW Tattered Angels mists and used them to create this great watercoloured background! (check out the video below to see how I did it!)

This cute stamp from Pretty Cute Stamps Snack Time fit perfectly into the banner cut from the Cricut CTMH Artistry cartridge. For the finishing touch I added sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps!

Inside, a sentiment from that cute Snack Time set I mentioned above.

Here's a process video showing you how I created this cute card - click HERE or watch below:

Sushi Buddies Thank You Card!

Howdy friends! Hope you're week is going amazing! I'm sharing a super cute thank you card using the Kitty Bee Designs digital stamp Sushi Buddies on my spotlight post at the Kitty Bee Designs Blog today.

I started off colouring this cute sushi stamp using Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are both alcohol based, after printing it on white cardstock. I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday to lay out my design and added some fun Silly Sushi diecuts from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.

I added the stamped sentiment, which actually means Thank You from the PCS Sushi Sentiments stamp set on the square background.

Inside, I used the Thank You from the PCS Sushi Sentiments stamp set. I love the font!

I used the pretty papers from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection and added some pretty sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps Mocha Mint Dream sequin mix.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs blog, where you'll find lots of inspiration!

FCCB #287 - Pumpkins!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #287-Pumpkins
Make a project about pumpkins!

This Weeks Sponsor

And we are giving away a $25 Amazon gift certificate, courtesy of FCCB Design Team! This prize will be given if there are 10 entries or more.

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For my project I started with the sweet Pumpkin Spice Latte cutting file from our awesome sponsor, Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. I love coffee and I'm a sucker for a Pumpkin Spice Latte, so this was the perfect place to start! I placed it on the PPPR Side Step Card and started layering.

I used a woodgrain embossing folder in my Cuttlebug and embossed the panel behind both the coffee cup and the diecut Love You A Latte sentiment, which was cut from the Just Because Cards Cricut cartridge. A little Distress Ink around the edges of my diecuts as well as over top of the wood embossing just adds a bit of highlighting.

I stamped this cute sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps, the PPPR sister store, from the Harvest Happiness stamp set (on SALE until October 13, 2016 - see bottom of blog post!) directly onto my diecut pumpkins from the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge. That pretty pumpkin silhouette border is from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge and I layered it over an orange panel.

I added some Distress Stickles to the Love and Latte diecuts on this cute sentiment.

For the finishing touch I added my newest addiction - SEQUINS! from the Autumn Joy and Mocha Mint Dream sequin collections from the SpiegelMom Scraps Store. I've added a 35% off CODE at the bottom of this post!!

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Be sure to head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what all the other amazing Design Team members have come up with for this Pumpkin Challenge - and stop by the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons blog to show some love for our sponsor!

Scrappy Cat and My Local Scrapbook Store!

I am so lucky to have a scrapbook store, Scrapendipity, very close to me, and even luckier to know the wonderful ladies who are part of that store! I go there weekly for a make 'n take card and a visit as well as go to usually a class a month. Over the summer my girls have enjoyed going there as well and are always spoiled by everyone there!

Back when we used to get together at the owner, Selena's, house, everyone used to get some snuggles in with her cats. Of course, once the store opened she couldn't bring her cats, but she did get a really cute stuffed cat that the girls, especially, love! Well, this cute, fuzzy kitty needed a name, and the girls thought Scrappy Cat would suit her (or him), so we promised to make Selena a cute sign. Amie helped design it and the girls both picked out the colours to match the signature store colours.

We opened up Cricut Design Space and used the long frame from the Stamp Frame Cutting Files along with the Winter Cat - both from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons, along with one of the Signature Cricut Fonts and a Cricut Flower.

Even though this cute cat comes with a hat and scarf, you can choose to cut her without it! I love that you can do it separately. We used part of the scarf for the collar and duplicated the large flower, making it really tiny to fit on the collar. I used some Distress Ink around the edges before layering her together.

Here are the PPPR cut files we used:

Amie saw this Hello Kitty ribbon and thought it would make the perfect collar for Scrappy Cat. She added a pink flower with some Stickles in the center. 'Cause a cat's gotta have some bling!

The girls pose beside Scrappy Cat with the new sign decorating her bed.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you want to check out the Scrapendipity Online Store click here, and if you're anywhere near Calgary, Alberta, we'd all love it if you stopped by for a little shopping, a class, or just to say hi to Scrappy Cat! - 208 3400 14th St NW Northmount Plaza (facing Chelsea St) Calgary, Alberta.

FCCB #281 - Anything Goes and PCS Rainy Day Card!

Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday...

Challenge #281 Anything Goes!
Make a project using whatever image or materials you prefer!

This Weeks Sponsor:

Winner will receive one Craftin Desert Diva's stamp set of their choice!
(USA address only)

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

I'm also posting over at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog today, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to combine some sweet stamps and some awesome diecuts! We've had soooo much rain over the past week that I feel like we are swimming. Creating a rainy day card definitely seemed fitting!

I stamped and paper pieced the cute rubber boots, puddle and sunshine from the Pretty Cute Stamps Rain or Shine  stamp set, layering them on top of my diecut raindrop background, cut from the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge. There are so many nice diecut backgrounds in this set - one reason why I love it so much! I stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set, directly onto my background.

I stamped the Rainbow stamp on white cardstock and coloured it in with coloured pencils before layering this adorable little Froggy Umbrella diecut from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons and a cute little rain cloud from the Create A Critter cartridge. I used some Cosmo Cricket paper that I had in my stash for all the paper piecing and diecuts so everything would be coordinated - and I could feel like I was using up some older papers!

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Rainbow stamp set, using a Hero Arts Ombre Ink pad, and paper pieced an umbrella from the Rain or Shine stamp set.

Here's a look at the super cute stamp sets I used:
