Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #557 - Fall or Winter!

Good morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing? We've got some fabulous ideas for you and can't wait to see what you create! This week, our challenge for you is to make a Fall or Winter project! I decided to do a fall spread in my mini traveler's notebook with A Brew-Tiful Day Stamps and the Sweater Weather Stencil.

I created a gratitude notebook - perfect to document our Thanksgiving and all the things I'm thankful for. Coffee is one of my all time favourite things and I'm very thankful to wake up to the smell of a fresh cup! I'm so lucky my hubby makes me a latte almost every morning - and it's amazing!! I started by stamping a sentiment from the Grateful Pumpkins Stamp Set with Marvelous Mocha Ink (how perfect, hey!) I added the Sweater Weather Stencil and some Totally Taupe Ink and then created a flap with a tiny index card ephemera piece.  I stamped the wonderful coffee images from the A Brew-Tiful Day Stamp set, colouring some in with Copics and layered them onto the page.

Inside the flap I added another sentiment from the Grateful Pumpkins set and some coffee beans from the A Brew-Tiful Day. I added some stickers from the Carta Bella Hello Autumn sticker pad and wrote in my journaling. I thought it would be fun to look back on this page in the future to see how my mornings may or may not have changed!

'

I also thought I'd share a page I did inspired by Kraftin' Kimmie's FB Live in the Krafty Journaling Fun Group where I used the Grateful Pumpkins Stamp Set along with the Wonky Chevron Stencil and Kraftin' Kimmie Inks

I think it's so important to keep a gratitude list. It's so easy to get down with all the day to day hardships, big and little, and I know it definitely helps me to focus on the good things that make life so amazing.

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and products will earn you double entries!

Snarky Coffee Chick!

Hey there! Hope you're having a great weekend. We had a big Saturday a.m. breakfast today with the kids - bacon, pancakes, eggs, fruit, fried potatoes... and of course coffee for the grownups! I love coffee, so as soon as I saw this cute Coffee Chick digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs I knew I wanted to use her paired with a sentiment from the Tim Holtz Snarky Small Talk Sticker Book. I grabbed some new Vicki Boutin Wildflower and Honey papers that were included in the latest SCT Sampler Pack and added a few SpiegelMom Scrap Sequins for a fun card - perfect for a coffee lover. (PS You can save 15% at the SpiegelMom Scraps Shop with the code KARLA15)

Be sure to head over to the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog to see closeups and details on this card. You may even want to take a peek at the GSD Shop to see what inspires you to create today!

Your Next Stamp Coffee Cuties Card!

Hello! I hope your week is looking up so far! Mine is great as I'm getting to design with one of the New Release Stamps from Your Next Stamp this month - Coffee Cuties on the Your Next Stamp Blog today! I love coffee and I love cute stamps - so this was so fun to create a pretty card with.

I paper-pieced the cup with Dear Lizzy papers from the latest SCT Sampler Pack and coloured in the rest of the image with Copic Markers. A bit of foam tape popped up the image on a striped background cut with a Your Next Stamp Scallop Stitched Rectangle die and then it was layered on an embossed background. Some pretty sequins, a button and twine finish off the card front.

Inside, I stamped the wonderful sentiment from the Coffee Cuties and added a little diecut strawberry to coordinate with the front of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Your Next Stamp Blog for lots of inspiration and have a look at all the fabulous new products in the Your Next Stamp Store. Kitty Bee Designs - Coffee Gift Card Holder!

Hello! I hope you’ve been having a wonderful week friends! We are finishing off the last week of school here and getting our teacher gifts together. I thought this adorable Kitty Bee Designs - Venti Coffee Panda Girl was just perfect for the front of this sweet coffee gift card holder greeting card!

I used Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers to colour in the cute image and then I cut it out with a Waffle Flower stitched die before layering on the Tim Holtz Gift Card Holder Bag from Sizzix. The pretty, bright papers from Your Next Stamp matched the colours I used on the image and I got inspiration for the design from the June Scrap Shotz  card sketch. (You have until the end of the month to enter!)

I cut a piece of patterned paper to create a tag and stamped on a sentiment from a Pretty Cute Stamps set with Pink Distress Oxide Ink. I’ll attach a coffee gift card to the tag with glue dots so it can easily be removed. Some pretty SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and a Little Birdie Crafts Burlap flower, altered with some shiny yellow Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, finish off the card.

We are so thankful for the amazing teachers the girls have been blessed to have this year, and this card is just a small token of our appreciation for them!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs blog for lots of amazing KBD inspiration, the KBD Shop and our current challenge 'Under The Sea' at the KBD Aloha Friday Challenge Blog for a chance to win a prize!!

Canvas Corp Brands - Coffee Challenge & Tattered Angels Video!

Hello! I hope you've all had a fantastic week! I'm sharing a couple recent projects I've created for Canvas Corp Brands, which includes 7gypsies, Tattered Angels and Canvas Corp. There are so many fantastic goodies these companies have - it's certainly not hard to create beautiful things with such a great selection!

First up is a Crew Challenge we had over at the Creative Studio blog - Tea & Coffee, and our challenge was to use real tea or coffee in our project! I love both tea and coffee, but if I had to choose then coffee would win 😉 so I created a gift set for my husband's birthday that used Canvas Corp Brand papers and canvas fabric along with Tattered Angels mists and real coffee grounds and beans.

I used the pretty TA Glimmer Mists to make a watercolour background and layered on some CC Coffee Papers before mixing coffee ground with UTEE to create a custom embossing powder to use on a CTMH coffee ring stamp. I used a PPPR coffee cup cutfile and the cool TA corrugated mistable paper to create this neat layered cup. A few pretty SpiegelMom Scraps sequins add a bit of finishing bling along with some real coffee beans.

Inside, I used the coffee ring stamp along with a Pretty Pink Posh sentiment and the Java Great Day by Pretty Cute Stamps.

My hubby has a couple stainless steel coffee mugs he uses to drink his coffee and tea and his hands always get cold so I wanted to make him a custom Coffee Sleeve that he could adjust to fit both mugs. I used the printed Canvas Corp 12x12 Beans & Bags Canvas Sheet and a Pinterest Pattern HERE to stitch this up for him. (Just as an FYI I would make the pattern a bit longer if I was to make it again.) He loved his card & gift when he opened them for his birthday!

The second project I'm sharing is 'How To Make 15 Backgrounds With Tattered Angels' over on the Tattered Angels YouTube channel. This was a fun project to make using Tattered Angels Mists and Paints. There are literally so many possibilities! Just think about how many projects you could whip up once you had a bunch of backgrounds completed.

Here's a look at the video where I take you through all the steps to create each background:

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!!

Inspiration Saturday!

Happy Weekend!! It's Easter this weekend, and this is the first year for a long time we haven't had a house full of guests for Easter Dinner. I will miss having everyone over, but I'm going to enjoy Easter morning with the girls, an Easter egg hunt, church and turkey dinner! Everyone else is travelling this year and enjoying some warm sunshine over the break. I might even get some crafting in ;) And, here's some inspiration for you!

1) Wilna Furstenberg has the cutest #springcoffeecup album post on her blog! I just love her style <3 She has a video where she walks you through making the album and she also has a challenge going on during April where you can share a coffee cup album you make! Check out her post for all the details.

2) I think Bookbub has been around for a while, but I've just discovered it! You can sign up to receive a daily email showing you what digital books are free from Kindle, Kobo, etc that day in the genre you choose! I love it - I just scan the email, choose the free ones I want and they automatically download onto my device and are ready to read when I have some down time.

3) Verve Stamps has an awesome FREE coffee printable available until April 17th! You can download the PDF or the individual digital stamp files HERE. The PDF is great if you just want to play around with printing the pictures and sentiments off quickly and using your coloured pencils or alcohol based markers on them. I just pop a piece of white cardstock into my printer without changing any paper settings! Then, I cut out the images and use them for cards. There's even a spot to link up your creations for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Verve store!

4) Gerda Steiner Designs has the cutest clear and digital stamps, and right now there's an FREE adorable Easter Bunny image - along with other cute FREEBIES in her store. You can sign up for her newsletter and be notified when a new free image is available as well as receive coupons. You can check out her blog while you're there and get lots of inspiration!!
5) I've been watching a lot of home decor and DIY videos lately, and I came across 4 Quarter Crafts who does some some awesome projects with dollar store finds. Here's a video on Earth Tone Spring Home Decor Crafts for you to check out!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend - and a very Happy Easter!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - How Have You Bean?!

Well, it is Spring, and I do LOVE coffee - so what better way to celebrate than to join in the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop?!! I used Sketch 490 from Mojo Monday as a guide and began creating!

I started off by heat embossing a cute coffee cup from the Pretty Cute Stamps Coffee Faces stamp set onto a piece of Tattered Angels 12x12 Pure Mistable Crepe Paper cut to fit my card. This paper is so cool! It is a lightweight textured paper that has a crepe paper effect when misted - and is available in other textures such as burlap, leather and more!

I used my Tattered Angels Mists from the English Garden Calendar Kit to spray the Mistable paper, and because the cup stamp was heat embossed with white it resisted the misting. I didn't spray the middle since it was going to be covered anyway. Then, I dried it with my heat gun.

I then used the same mists to paint in portions of this yummy Coffee Stamps On Kraft paper from Canvas Corp, just dipping my paint brush right into the mist bottles. I even used a circle punch to cut out one of the coffee images and glued it to a piece of Canvas Corp Aqua Burlap, handcut to a circle.

Here's a look at the  Tattered Angels English Garden Calendar Kit - where you get 4 coordinating mists in a smaller size to mix and match. There are tons of Calendar Kits available and are a great way to try them out and see what you love best! I used some of the White High Impact Paint to paint the edge of a burlap flower I found in my stash after misting it with the Iris Baseboard (purple) and Tutti Frutti (pink) mists from the kit.

I used one of the sentiments from the Pretty Cute Stamps Coffee Sentiments set on the diecut coffee cup cut from the PPPR Pumpkin Spice Latte cut file. I used some pretty Canvas Corp Kraft and White Chevron paper for the base of my cup and traced the cut coffee holder onto the back of a piece of the Canvas Corp White Flute paper. I love that the corrugated look of this paper actually looks like a coffee cup holder!!

I stamped a few coffee beans and added some lovely SpiegelMom Scraps sequins!

This was such a fun card to make, and I love the texture on that Mistable Paper! But now I'm totally craving a cup of coffee!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're having a fabulous week - and if you love coffee and spring - ummm, what's not to love?!! - hop over to the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! There's still a few more days to join in and lots of prizes to be won :)

All You Need Is Love and Coffee!

Hi friends! Happy Valentines Day! I really think that sentiment sums it up ;) One of my fav things my hubby does is the awesome lattes he makes on the weekends. I don't think I could live without coffee some days! So here is the Valentines card I created for him. These Coffee Faces and Coffee Sentiments clear stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps are a couple of my favourites, and I love how many different sentiments for so many occasions are included!

I started off with a piece of resist kraft printed background paper from a Tim Holtz paper pad. I used my pinks, reds and tea dye Distress Stains to colour the paper that I first had sponged with Picket Fence Distress Ink (to give it a lighter base). I love how the resist pops through!

Then, I layered on a square journaling card and added some CMTH coffee stain stamps. I used the coordinating SVG files from Pretty Cute Stamps to first cut out the images with one of my favourite tools - my Cricut Explore, and then I was able to easily stamp the images before colouring with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers. I added the sweet faces on after, heat embossing the white one.

I added a couple diecut hearts and sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps and popped up the coffee press. These neat beans on the bottom of the card are included in the PCS coffee set.

Inside, I added some extra coffee stain stamps and the I Love You A Latte sentiment from the PCS Coffee Sentiments set. The Happy Valentines Day stamp is from the Tim Holtz Crazy Talk set, and I decorated the envelope to match.

Mike was very happy to get open his card this morning, and of course he got some chocolate to go along with it! We always do a little something special with the girls and they loved opening some handmade cards, chocolate and little stuffed animals. I was very lucky to get beautiful white roses, a lovely card and some yummy candy! I think making someone feel special, whether its for Valentines or any day, is something they will carry with them for a long time.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a day filled with love, and of course a little craftiness!
