Sweet Tooth Mouse Card & Inspiration Saturday!

Hi! I thought I'd share a cute card using the September Challenge image from Gerda Steiner Designs - Sweet Tooth Mouse and then give you some crafty weekend inspiration to check out! I really meant to play along with the September challenge earlier this month.... where did September go?!! The cool thing about these challenges are that if you play along and link up you'll get the next month's digi image free! I printed off this adorable little mouse and coloured her up with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers (alcohol based) and then used a Kaisercraft Stitched circle die to cut out the image.

I used the Holiday Baking Mix & Match pad from Canvas Corp Brands to layer papers and corrugated cardboard on my card. I felt like this little mouse would be perfect as a Christmas mouse ready to give away some handmade goodies at the holidays!  This Mix & Match pad is gorgeous and includes papers, recipe cards, burlap, corrugated cardboard and a printed canvas panel - and it's on sale! 😉

I added some glittery Stickles to the batter and spoon and added some fun and sparkly SpiegelMom Scraps sequins!

Now for a bit of inspiration....

1) Gerda Steiner Designs also has a huge collection of digital and clear stamps! You can look through their digi stamps here, with FREEBIE downloads!
Gerda Steiner Designs, LLC
2) Lyriclover810 on YouTube has fantastic ideas for creating goodies for craft fairs - perfect for stocking stuffers too! In this video she shows a quick way to use your 6x6 paper pads to create the cutest tea bag holders.

3) Creative Scrapbooker Magazine has a fabulous Photo Prompt a Day list for October! These would be so fun to share for the month!

4) If you're looking for a free alternative to PicMonkey, the iPhone app Over is fabulous for anyone who wants to do some photo editing or needs something to add watermarks to their projects or photos!

Inspiration Saturday!

Hello friends! We've had a busy week this week; we went to the local amusement park, to the wading pool, lots of park time, to see the Emoji Movie - which was a hit! and had a water balloon fight in the backyard. And, Amie, who's 10 has been baking up a storm! She made chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, which were really good, on Wednesday, and has made scrambled eggs and regular, blueberry and almond flour pancakes Friday morning as well as a grilled cheese sandwich for herself for lunch. Her dad bought her a mini griddle and she already has tons of recipes pinned to try!

Here are some crafty inspiration sites, videos and freebies for you to check out!

1) I've really been enjoying finding some awesome home decor inspiration lately, and I was so impressed when I came across Bless'er House. You'll find some amazing 'drool-worthy' home decorating pics and tips on the Blog and Instagram feed! I'm warning you though, it's addictive!

2) Crafty Bit Creations has a great video tutorial showing four different Distress Oxide Ink backgrounds with the cutest mermaid stamps! I am loving playing with my first set of DOX inks, and I'm working on the second set!

3) Craftin Dessert Divas have their August New Release event going on right now, and depending on the number of attendees, Tara puts the occasional FREEBIE digi stamp up in the CDD Store! Every month they have a New Release Event, so it's worth following along to see all the awesome inspiration and pick up a couple free digi stamps! And who knows, you may even find a new stamp set you can't live without 😉

4) Dreaming Tree SVG has the most adorable Fairyville SVG Bundle out, and it's free with a $9.98 purchase. Details are in the link!

Inspiration Saturday!

Hi friends!! I hope you had a great week! We went to Invermere, BC this past week and enjoyed some wonderful warm weather and some relaxing time on the beach. It was awesome! I'm back to bring you some crafty inspiration for your weekend, whether you're at home or enjoying some time away! Here's a cute pic of my two littles enjoying their time at the beach ;)

1. Dawn Nicole Designs has a wonderful colouring page download for you to enjoy free! I love taking colouring with me on the beach! I have an inkjet printer, so to avoid any ink smudges I colour  using coloured pencils (love my Jane Davenport ones!) or use Copics or other alcohol based Markers. I print directly on white cardstock without changing any printer settings.

2. Tim Holtz had a Facebook live video Friday showing all the amazing Halloween goodies he's coming out with, and boy are they awesome! I know it's still early, but as crafters we've gotta be on things in order to have time to create ;) and I have to admit I'm a tad bit excited!!

3. Canvas Corp Brands blog - The Creative Studio, has its July challenge up and running with a flags of the world theme! Simply interpret the Inspiration Board your way using your own supplies and you could win a box full of goodies from Canvas Corp, Tattered Angels and 7gypsies!

4.  Yvette Webber is such a talented scrapbook designer! I've been following her on Instagram, and just love seeing all her amazing projects! You can also check out her blog - Scrapping With Yvette!
5. Creative Market has free beautiful fonts and downloads. I've grabbed the awesome Loveline Brushscript this week, and their blog has lots more inspiration as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy a creative weekend!!

2) As well, from Scrapbook & Cards Today - the newest Summer Issue is available for FREE online!! You can even order a copy or subscribe if you are a paper copy gal.

3) If you love the 'Tim Holtz style', you'll definitely want to check out the Tim Holtz Collective Pinterest Board put together by Nicole Wright Designs. It is filled with many amazing artist's work - all in one spot! Have fun browsing and planning your next project!

4) If you have littles at home to keep busy for the summer, you may want to check out the awesome kids crafts at Easy Peasy and Fun! I can always find something to keep my kids, ages 5 and 10, busy with these cute easy and fun crafts and printables using things you have around the house. Our summer vaca just started, and I think we'll be checking out this site a lot ;)

5) And, lastly, I thought you might want to check out this new Photo Editing app I've found called The Color Story. It's by Elsie and Emma at A Beautiful Mess. I've been playing around with it and absolutely love it!! There are so many cool filters and light effects, with a great assortment of free filters that come with the app and the opportunity to purchase more within the app. I really love every one I've tried, and can't wait to print them off and start scrapping with them!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!!

Inspiration Saturday!

Hello friends! I know I'm getting this posted a little later than normal, but it is still Saturday, and you still have lots of time to check out all the inspirational sites I found this week!!

1) I've been playing around with decorating my Happy Planner this week and my daughter, who also has one, wanted some printables. Well, I was so excited to come across the Victoria Thatcher website - with amazing free downloads!! Here's a link to her adorable Oh Deer printable, and if you check out the right side of her blog there's a direct link to all of her printables in either EC or HP size. You don't even need to have a planner to enjoy these adorable images!! Grab a coffee and have fun looking through all the awesome designs she has - and if you're feeling generous, leave her a little thank you in her 'coffee fund' on the right side as well for all her hard work!

2) And, while we're talking about planner printables, here's another cool website with amazing Free Planner Printables! Visit Fit Life Creative to check out all the fun goodies they have available!! You can sign up for email notifications to find out whenever they have a freebie available.

3) I tried these yummy Molasses Drop Cookies this week - and they were sooooo good! I sub'd the shortening for veg oil and actually made half the recipe, which still made a lot of cookies. I used my Pampered Chef small scoop and the PC stone baking sheet and they turned out great!

4) I thought this video from Lindsay at the Frugal Crafter was so cool! I've seen the new animated stamps before and she shows you a way to create this effect with any stamp. She really has some awesome videos available!

5) And, lastly, May Flaum has a free Camp Scrap class starting on Monday! I just love her crafty style, and you can check out Camp Scrap on her BLOG, where she'll be creating a new post daily - sign up for emails so you don't miss anything - and join the Facebook Group to join in the fun! She has prizes she'll be giving away and lots of inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend <3

Inspiration Saturday!

Hello friends! I'm back today to share some inspiration websites, blogs, downloads and even a recipe with you!

1) If you are looking to sharpen your colouring skills, a great place to check out is Kit And Clowder - an online colouring and craft class website. As well as offering classes, they have freebie digi files, giveaways in their Facebook group and lots of helpful info on their FAQ page, including Marker Blending Sheet Downloads (at the bottom) showing you what markers to combine to get the colours you're looking for.

2) Dreaming Tree SVG is a fantastic site full of wonderful SVG files - many that are 3D! There are lots of FREEBIES for you to try out with your own electronic cutter, and they often have a free gift with purchase offer. Their service is really great, and there are videos to show you exactly how to put the files together after you cut them!

3) There are also some really cool free cutting files on the My Crafty Life blog that I recently came across. It doesn't look like Dan is blogging much anymore, but fortunately, he still has these awesome downloads available!

4) The Free Pretty Things For You website has some amazing downloadable images, papers and clipart! You are really going to want to take a look through Keren's beautiful site and print off some goodies for your stash!

5) And, lastly I thought I'd share a recipe for Oatmeal BlueberryMuffins I recently made! I wanted to have lemon blueberry - so I substituted the milk for 1/2 cup of lemon juice mixed with 1/2 cup of water. They were really good!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
