The winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images. If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For this challenge I’m sharing a cute owl card using a cool leaf diecut from Dreaming Tree using the FREE Autumn Leaf Napkin Ring SVG file. I positioned it in a rectangle cut from the Cricut Shapes and sliced it to create an opening in the background.

I used Tattered Angels Mists to create an inky background on a piece of Bristol Cardstock and then placed it behind the opening. Another leaf decorates the bottom left and I cut a sentiment from the Straight From The Nest Cricut cartridge.

I watercoloured some cute owls from the new Lawn Fawn So Owlsome stamp set and popped them up with foam dots to give them some dimension. I then added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins (save 15% at the SMS shop with code KARLA15) to finish it off!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out what the other Designers have come up with for this challenge and enter your own at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, with at least one Cricut cut, for a chance to win!

For my project today I'm sharing a cute St. Patrick's Day card using the Lucky sentiment cut from the Create A Critter cartridge and the frame diecut from the Wild Card cartridge (free in DS this week!) along with the clover cut from the Dreaming Tree Clover Treat Basket SVG file - a FREEBIE! We never actually go out on St. Paddy's Day, but I think it is a fun holiday to celebrate, and the kids love dressing in green and checking to see what the tricky leprechaun may have been up to!

I watercoloured the adorable Bart On St. Paddy's Day stamp from Whimsy Stamps using watercolour pencils and Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers before adding some Glossy Accents and glitter to accent his foamy beer and little clovers. I used a Quickie glue pen and drew a border on the diecut clovers and then added some Ranger Foil for a bit more shine.

I used some liquid glue to adhere some glitter to the Lucky sentiment and then popped it up with foam dots. The 3 Cheers For Green Beers from Pretty Cute Stamps fit perfectly with the theme!

Inside, I used the same PCS stamp set for the sentiment and added another sparkly clover. Shiny sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps decorate both the inside and front of the card.

FCCB #315 - Winter!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge! To all my US friends, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week!! It wasn't a holiday here in Canada, as we had our Thanksgiving last month, but I did take advantage of some online shopping and got some great deals - getting most of my Christmas shopping done!

Challenge #315-Winter
Make a project about the winter (sports, snow, etc)!

The winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate!

For my project today I've made this sweet little gift card holder using the Dreaming Tree Christmas Gift Tags, which is a free download and includes 2 tags. I've used the Snowflake tag, which I just love! I also used the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 Cricut cartridge for the treat favor box, adjusted to hold a gift card, and the Merry & Bright cartridge to cut the Merry Christmas label, shown on the opposite side, below.

The Tim Holtz plaid Christmas paper was just what I was looking for to cut this little bag! I paired it with some Kaisercraft beachy paper for the tag and a Lawn Fawn plaid paper for the snowflake, and I stamped on the to: and from: sentiments from a Lawn Fawn tag stamp set. These beautiful SpiegelMom Scraps Shabby Chic Christmas sequins were just perfect to scatter around the tag and coordinated wonderfully with the gems on the snowflake. I used some black burlap string to tie my tag to the top of the bag.

On the other side of the bag I used foam dots to pop up the Merry Christmas label after covering the sentiment with Glossy Accents for shine.

A few more sequins finish off the back side!

Inspiration Saturday!

Hello friends! We've had a busy week this week; we went to the local amusement park, to the wading pool, lots of park time, to see the Emoji Movie - which was a hit! and had a water balloon fight in the backyard. And, Amie, who's 10 has been baking up a storm! She made chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, which were really good, on Wednesday, and has made scrambled eggs and regular, blueberry and almond flour pancakes Friday morning as well as a grilled cheese sandwich for herself for lunch. Her dad bought her a mini griddle and she already has tons of recipes pinned to try!

Here are some crafty inspiration sites, videos and freebies for you to check out!

1) I've really been enjoying finding some awesome home decor inspiration lately, and I was so impressed when I came across Bless'er House. You'll find some amazing 'drool-worthy' home decorating pics and tips on the Blog and Instagram feed! I'm warning you though, it's addictive!

2) Crafty Bit Creations has a great video tutorial showing four different Distress Oxide Ink backgrounds with the cutest mermaid stamps! I am loving playing with my first set of DOX inks, and I'm working on the second set!

3) Craftin Dessert Divas have their August New Release event going on right now, and depending on the number of attendees, Tara puts the occasional FREEBIE digi stamp up in the CDD Store! Every month they have a New Release Event, so it's worth following along to see all the awesome inspiration and pick up a couple free digi stamps! And who knows, you may even find a new stamp set you can't live without 😉

4) Dreaming Tree SVG has the most adorable Fairyville SVG Bundle out, and it's free with a $9.98 purchase. Details are in the link!

5)And, lastly, Dawn Nicole Designs has a beautiful August tech calendar for you to download FREE for your computer, phone or ipad! If you sign up for her Happy Mail you'll always be notified everytime she has a new one available.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Inspiration Saturday!

Hello friends! I'm back today to share some inspiration websites, blogs, downloads and even a recipe with you!

1) If you are looking to sharpen your colouring skills, a great place to check out is Kit And Clowder - an online colouring and craft class website. As well as offering classes, they have freebie digi files, giveaways in their Facebook group and lots of helpful info on their FAQ page, including Marker Blending Sheet Downloads (at the bottom) showing you what markers to combine to get the colours you're looking for.

2) Dreaming Tree SVG is a fantastic site full of wonderful SVG files - many that are 3D! There are lots of FREEBIES for you to try out with your own electronic cutter, and they often have a free gift with purchase offer. Their service is really great, and there are videos to show you exactly how to put the files together after you cut them!

3) There are also some really cool free cutting files on the My Crafty Life blog that I recently came across. It doesn't look like Dan is blogging much anymore, but fortunately, he still has these awesome downloads available!

4) The Free Pretty Things For You website has some amazing downloadable images, papers and clipart! You are really going to want to take a look through Keren's beautiful site and print off some goodies for your stash!

5) And, lastly I thought I'd share a recipe for Oatmeal BlueberryMuffins I recently made! I wanted to have lemon blueberry - so I substituted the milk for 1/2 cup of lemon juice mixed with 1/2 cup of water. They were really good!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

The winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate!

This week for my project I've used the Spring Gatefold Card from the Dreaming Tree Gatefold Card SVG Bundle and changed it a bit to create a St. Patrick's Day card by adding Cricut cuts from the CTMH Artistry and CTMH Art Philosophy cartridges. There are three beautiful cards that come in this bundle, and I love the videos that come with each project to show you exactly how to put them together.

I exchanged the flower cut that comes on the front of the card with this hat emblem, and added a little clover to the front with some sparkly Stickles. I cut out the Cheers Cricut cut and removed the border around it and then added it to the top of the card for some St. Patty's Day wishes!

The inside of the card was already a four petaled flower, and I thought that would be perfect as a clover. I added a Cricut clover cut, adding some Distress Ink and Stickles.

I used the fun Lucky stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps and added a couple sentiments - one to the inside, and one to the back of the card where I'll add a little message. I love that this card comes with a matching envelope! I stamped a little clover from the Lucky set and added some matching striped paper to the flap.

I've also added a VIDEO so you can see how I put this fun card together:

FCCB #271 - St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #271-St. Patricks Day
Make a project with a St. Patricks Day theme.

There will be Three $20 Gift Certificates!

For my project I've chosen to use the adorable clover treat box by Dreaming Tree, our sponsor, as well as Cricut cuts from the Simply Charmed (lucky & leprechaun cuts) and St. Patrick's Day (rainbow) Cartridges. A bit of Distress Inking gives shading to the edges of my cuts, and then I filled my treat box with Easter grass and used popsicle sticks to create stands for my Cricut cuts so they can pop out of the basket.

I like to avoid cutting multiple colours of cuts that are tiny, so often I will sync all the small cuts in Cricut Design Space to cut on white cardstock and then colour them myself after. I used alcohol markers to colour in the cheeks, hat buckle and button and sponged on Distress Ink to colour the leprechaun face. I also cut the middle strip of the rainbow white and then sprayed with a gold mist for shimmer.

I used an older CTMH stamp for the St. Patrick's Day sentiment. I was able to bend the stamp to fit the rainbow since it is a clear stamp.

I stamped a script stamp with Versamark Ink and used Perfect Pearls to add a shimmery gold script on the treat box clovers.

You can find the YouTube tutorial on how to assemble this cute box here

Thanks so much for joining me today! Don't forget to visit our sponsor, Dreaming Tree, as well as stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog to see all the other awesome projects the design team has come up with!
