Hello friends! I'm over on the Wild Whisper Blog today with a look at the NEW Media Assemblage Line by Nicole Wright Designs and Wild Whisper - and it's gorgeous! As soon as I saw it I knew I had to frame some of this, and I love how it turned out!!
I used some dollar store frames and inserted the beautiful papers. Then, I cut some of the fabulous cut files available in the Wild Whisper shop with my Cricut Maker and Cricut Adhesive Foil, applying them directly to the glass surface. Wouldn't these make wonderful gifts?!!
I also took three cardboard magazine holders and covered the back of them with another one of the awesome papers, adding in some ephemera and sequins from the Strength of the Season and Masculine collection.
Here's a look at the Video where you can see the Media Assemblage line closeup and check out how easy it is to make your own framed art!
Thanks so much for stopping by! You can find the full details and product links on the Wild Whisper Blog - and don't forget to use the code DTKARLA to save 10% on all your purchases at the Wild Whisper Shop!!
Hello friends! We are all getting so excited for Christmas at our house, and I had a lot of fun taking a little crafty time to create a pretty wall hanging stocking using goodies from the Southern Ridge Trading Company Shop. This would make a great project for the whole family to create - customizing a stocking each and maybe adding a name or initial. You can find the full step by step tutorial on the Southern Ridge Trading Company Blog!
I used some sparkly ArtQuest Stargazers Watercolor Paints to give the chipboard pieces a shiny coat of colour. A few cute elements from the Tim Holtz idea-ology Mini Christmas Ephemera peek out of the decorated stocking. Of course I added some beautiful sequins from Studio Katia and glittery Stickles!
I added some puffy Liquid Applique to the Noel sentiment, which puffs up when heated with a heat gun, and the pearly white paint added a beautiful sheen to the chipboard snowflake. The red patterned Cricut vinyl was quick and easy to add to the stocking!
Thanks so much for stopping by! You can find the full tutorial and supply list on the Southern Ridge Trading Company Blog. Hope you are having a fabulous start to December!!
Hello! Well, Christmas is coming in 51 sleeps... yeah my 7 year old made me download the app! I figured I should do some stress-free Christmas crafting before that realization hits that you have 5 teacher gifts and 10 stocking stuffers to make in two days, lol. So, I was at a crop over the weekend and decided to enjoy making a lovely and peaceful tag using some fun supplies from the Southern Ridge Trading Company Shop. I pulled out a Chipboard Tag, 3x3 Star Stencil, Soda Fizz Stencil, Words Of Christmas
set and Cedar Trees pack and got crafty! You can visit the SRTC Blog for a How To Tutorial in case you'd like to see just how I made it.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Southern Ridge Trading Company Blog where you can find all the how-to details, closeups and supplies for this festive tag. Have a wonderful week friends!
Hello! I sure hope you have all had a great weekend. Today I'm sharing a pretty recipe card holder and mini folders to hold recipe cards. I find I often just look up recipes online now, but I do have my favourites that I love to use over and over, as well as a few that have been passed down. It's nice to have a home for those ones and a pretty place to keep the one I'm using safe and tidy. I started out with a chickenwire frame from the dollar store and stained the wood a light brown colour. Then I tucked a piece of green cardstock inside the backing, along with a mason jar cut out.
My family loved this Sweet Potato Scones recipe I found online and I wanted to make sure I kept it handy to make again! The Farmhouse kitchen sign was easy to make with some white corrugated paper covered with a silver stain so that it resembled corrugated metal. I cut out the words from a larger piece of cardstock and layered it all together.
I used the chicken wire paper to cover the front of the mini file folders and then added some fun labels. The paper itself was black and white so I chose a few colours that would coordinate with the frame and painted in the details.
I used some Little Birdie Crafts flowers and chipboard, along with some more images cut from different papers, to create a pretty cluster on the corner of the frame.
Here's few closeups of the details, along with the yummy scones!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have an awesome and very crafty week π
