The winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images. If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For my project this week I chose to make a quick and easy Canada Day banner since July 1st is fast approaching! I used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge for the banner shapes and then layered on leaves from the Straight From The Nest cartridge. I used a little Distress Ink around my edges for a bit of shading.

The Celebrate diecut is from the Straight From The Nest cartridge again and the banner is cut from CTMH Artistry.

I used a Wild Whisper stamp and some white ink and added some red and white twine to hang my banner.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the FCCB Blog to see what all the other Designers have come up with - and enter your own patriotic project for a chance to win. Have an awesome week friends!

Busy Beaver Canada Day Blog Hop!!

Hello, and Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends!! We are blog hopping today with Scrap 'n Stamp in celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday!! Woot Woot!! and sharing projects featuring the cute new 'Busy Beaver’ Stamp & Die set by Taylored Expressions! If you've arrived from Julia's blog you're in the right place- and if you want to start from the beginning then head over to see Tara at the Scrap And Stamp Blog!

For my project for the Hop I've created a fold out card with a special gift card pocket on the inside flap. He's holding the most adorable diecut maple leaf, just waiting to start his Canada Day celebrations!!

I stamped this cute little guy and the two logs on watercolour paper and coloured him in with Prima Watercolor Pencils. Then I layered him on a banner diecut with a Spellbinders banner die from the new Wild Whisper Strong & Free patterned paper. I used some Kaisercraft border dies to add faux stitching to the front panel and the inside pocket below.

To create this card I cut two pieces of kraft cardstock 5 1/2" x 4 1/2", then I cut my white cardstock insert at 3 3/4" x 11", and scored that at 5" and 10". You can see the video that I followed along with HERE. I added a Double Double pocket- because what could be more Canadian, eh?! from the Wild Whisper Strong & Free card pack. You can see a little tab I diecut and behind I tucked in a Timmy's gift card for the recipient!

On the envelope I added this adorable Busy Beaver again and this time coloured him in with coloured pencils. I just had to add the EH? part of the stamp ;) Inside I stamped another sentiment from the set using Distress Oxide Inks. I am loving the way they stamp!!

Here's a look at the card opened up all the way. I decorated with some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and used an adorable little Taylored Expressions maple leaf die tied on with some Burlap String from the SpiegelMom Scraps store.

Here's a look at this adorable set!

The winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate!

I was so excited about the challenge this week since it's Canada's 150th birthday this year on July 1st! I love the Canadian logo that has been designed to celebrate, and I knew I wanted to use it on a Happy Canada Day card, so I saved a photo from an online search and uploaded it onto Cricut Design Space and then saved that as a cut file. I was so pleased at how nicely the maple leave cut out! I layered it over the Celebrate Card cut, which is a background of tiny circle cuts from the Simple Celebrations Cricut Cartridge.

I am really loving the Wild Whisper Strong & Free Collection, new this month, and I knew it would be perfect to add to my card! I'll be sharing lots more from this fabulous collection all month long!

Over on May Flaum's blog she's holding a FREE Camp Scrap class with lots of daily inspiration, and her challenge to use Stamps was just the inspiration I needed to grab these awesome new Wild Whisper Strong & Free Stamps for my card.

She also reminded me to use those smaller stamps - so I grabbed some patriotic emblems and stamped both on the outside and the inside of my card!

I added a bit of shimmer from some Tim Holtz mica spray on the yellow background under the diecut card base, which gives a little shine peeking through. And, of course, I had to add some pretty SpiegelMom Scraps sequins for a little extra bling! I can't wait to give this to someone special to help them celebrate Canada Day too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what all the other designers have come up with today - and enter your own patriotic project with a Cricut cut for a chance to win!

FCCB #279 Patriotism!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

The prize is 7 digital stamps!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For my project I made a card to celebrate Canada Day! I used my Cricut Explore and the write feature to draw out the fireworks from the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge with the Silver Cricut pen. I used the gold Wink of Stella pen to colour in the fireworks for some extra sparkle.

This cute elephant image is from Bugaboo Stamps - Edward Canada. I printed him on white cardstock and coloured him in with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers, which are alcohol based and also added some Wink of Stella pens in silver and gold. These pretty sequins are from one of the 28 Lilac Lane collections!

The Oh Canada was cut from the Summer Celebrations cartridge and the Polaroid from the Brooklyn Iron On cartridge. I love how it is just the Polaroid outline and shows the fireworks from behind!

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you enjoy a wonderful week and are getting some special plans together for Canada Day or Independence Day. Be sure to head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Blog to see what all the other Design Team members have come up with and enter your own Patriotic project for a chance to win!
