Valentines Baking with FREE Printable Recipe Cards!

Hello! I sure hope you are all having a sweet week! Mine definitely got sweeter with these pretty & delicious cookies that I made for Erica to take to school for a little Choir party! I decided to make a little digital scrapbook page using the Project Life App and add in the recipes for these simple, but awesome Sugar Cookies and Glaze. The Project Life App is FREE to download on your devices and I use it for so much more than making digital pages. I edit my photos, use the template to create two 3x4 sized photos to print out as a 4x6 - as well as many other sizes, save journaling cards, and today I decided to use the Recipe Value Kit ($1.39 CAD) to create my own recipe cards. I also purchased the ability to add extra text to photos and cards in various fonts, and I use this feature all the time!

Feel free to save these cards and print them out for your own use! This is one of the best Sugar Cookie recipes I've found. It pretty much stays the size you cut it out as and I always take them out of the oven just before they turn brown. They are delicious as is, but I wanted to kick it up a notch for Valentines!

I used the Rhonna Designs App to add a fun frame around my cookie pic and a cute and fitting sentiment! Because, hey, why not?!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to know what you do to celebrate Valentines - whether it's baking, making cards, decorating or giving some chocolately goodness to your family, friends or yourself 💘 Wishing you all a very Happy Valentines!

Hello! I'm back today with a few inspirational and crafty sites for you to check out while you're relaxing this weekend! We've had a wonderful busy few weeks with family visiting, park and swim dates, and I got lots of baby snuggles from this cutie, my niece! She's absolutely adorable!!

1) Canvas Corp has an amazing collection of new papers that have been released! These papers are in a 12x12 pad and beautiful - ranging from vintage to cowboy to brights! Here's just one of the wonderful styles:

2) There's always lots of cool inspiration on the Sizzix Blog, and I thought this post featuring 10 Trendy Coin Purses was so sweet!

3) With school and activities starting up here in a couple weeks I thought the Delish.com website would be a great resource, and this post with 157 Quick Fall Dinners looks awesome to me!

4) The Everything Etsy blog has a great post featuring 7 Fall DIY Gift Ideas! Ok, Fall is my favourite season, and I can't help getting excited about it :) The Free Fall Leaf Embroidery Pattern they link to is beautiful!

Bimini Moose Feature - Week 5 Project Life!

I know! It's way past week 5, lol! I just realized that this is how I scrap, so I'm going with it! I've printed off pics for several weeks and for some weeks I've done events within the week already. I tend to jump around when I scrap, but then put the pages in my album chronologically - so here's week 5!

I preprinted my Week 5 card in the Project Life app, adding journalling to a PL card and then added some coordinating papers and a teeny wood house to my printed card. I love being able to journal in the app and print it with my photos. Then, even if I don't get my pages done right away I won't forget some of those details I want to be sure to add in to my pages.

I kept my colour scheme pinks, turquoise and orange, but didn't worry too much about being matchy-matchy. I used some paper from a new BoBunny 6x6 paper pack Forever Young - I love these bright colours! I used butterfly stamps from a Tim Holtz stamp set I recently picked up to scatter butterflies around in my pockets, coordinating with several butterfly papers. I also used a Tim Holtz sentiment stamp in the lower right hand pocket below, using the new Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink - Love It!!

For this last page I had some food pics that I wanted to include and used the Echo Park Made From Scratch collection, which has lots of fun stickers, papers and even journalling cards! Perfect for documenting your recipes, baking and meals! The cookies and muffins were actually pics from my week 7, but since I wanted to do a whole page on this theme I included them. Baking is a regular weekly thing for me, so I didn't feel like it would matter whether it was in one week or another. I even took screen shots of one of my fav homemade pizza recipes and then collaged it into PL and, after printing, cut it to fit into two 3x4 pockets.

Don't forget to check out the current Bimini Moose challenge - AG with optional One Card Kit twist! Thanks so much for joining me today!! You can sign up for my Facebook Fan Page and I will be having a GIVEAWAY when I reach 100 fans!!
