Monster Birthday - Published in CS Magazine!!

Hello! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! We had a fantastic sunny day on Sunday and I felt like I actually took time to relax... a bit ;) I'm super excited to share a card with you today that just got published in the Summer 2020 issue of the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine! These two sweet monster digis worked perfectly together to send not-too-scary birthday wishes -  I Didn't Eat It Yet Birthday Monster and the Monster Holding Letter. I used them with some fun My Mind's Eye papers and coloured them with Copics in coordinating colours.

I finished up with a cute message that just matched too well to not use from the Mama Elephant birthday messages stamp set in my stash!

Be sure to check out the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine for lots of papercrafting inspiration, and see what they are looking for on their Submissions Page for their next issue! You can find all the details and closeups on this card on the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog - and check out the adorable clear and digis at the Shop. Thanks so much for stopping by - hope your day is crafty and fun!

Sending Hugs Freebie!

Hello sweet friends! It's a strange time we're in, and even though there are more stressful things than we can even begin to count, I'm struck by the importance to how we need to show caring to others to get through this. Whether it's a phone call, a text, a smile across the street, I think it makes a difference. When I saw this sweet digi - Sending Hugs digital stamp from the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop I loved the idea of sending out a card to someone special to let them know I'm thinking of them. And how awesome that it's FREE! I used some pretty Simple Stories Papers from the new I Am collection that were included with my March SCT Sampler along with Hello Bluebird & Sizzix dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by! You can see all the details and closeups on the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog and if you feel like getting crafty, you'll be sure to find lots of inspiration in the Shop. Have a safe and healthy week friends 💜

Kitty Bee Designs #132 - All Wrapped Up!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #132 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #132
All Wrapped Up

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge:

Kinda Cute by Patricia - http://kindacutebypatricia.com/

and

Di's Digi Stamps - https://www.disdigistamps.com/

For this challenge I decided to create a cute Christmas card using the adorable Snowman and Friends Digital Stamp from Kinda Cute by Patricia.  He looks so happy surrounded by his little animal friends! I coloured the image with an assortment of Copics, Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers to match the Heartfelt Creations Paper Pad I've been using lately! I just love the pinks and teals for a little change up to the regular holiday colour scheme.

I used a stitched square die to cut out the image and then layered it on top of the papers, ribbon, and an embossed piece of matching teal cardstock. Some Stickles and SpiegelMom Scraps sequins  add just a little extra bling for Christmas Cheer! (PS be sure to use the code KARLA15 to save 15% at the SMS Shop!)

And, I think we all could use more of those!! I coloured this cutie up with Prismacolor Markers, which are alcohol based and cut him out with a stitched tag die.

Kitty Bee Designs - Owl Witch Halloween Card!

Hello! We are counting down to Halloween at my house, and I have a cute little card to share with you today using Kitty Bee Designs Owl Witch digital stamp! I used some Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, both alcohol based, to colour this sweetie up after printing her on white cardstock. I love adding gel pen details - white on the body and blue on the hat.

I embossed the background with a Tim Holtz embossing folder that resembles shattered ice, but I felt like with the owl sitting in the middle, on top of the 'tree branch' sentiment - it kind of looked like a spooky tree in the background! I stamped the sentiment with a Tim Holtz crazy sentiment stamp and added clear round enamel dots and SpiegelMom Scrap star sequins.

Inside, I stamped a Tim Holtz Halloween stamp with blue Distress Oxide Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have an awesome week, and be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs Blog and Shop for so much more inspiration!

Christmas In July

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge
A Day for Daisies - http://adayfordaisies.com/
and

The Paper Nest Dolls - http://paper-nest-dolls.myshopify.com/

For this challenge I'm using the adorable Christmas Lights Panda digital stamp from Kitty Bee Designs, which I coloured in with coloured pencils and cut out with a stitched circle die. This little guy is so adorable, and so quick and easy to colour up! I think it's never too early to get started on Christmas cards - you all know how quick the time flies once the fall hits. I love the process of making holiday cards, so why not enjoy it while you have a little down time?!

I used clear Stickles on top of the string of lights to give a little bling and used some pretty SpiegelMom Scraps sequins.

An older Christmas sentiment stamp from my stash was perfect to stamp on another diecut circle cut from seasonal patterned paper that coordinated with the layers of papers underneath.

Inside I used an American Crafts stamp with red Archival Ink and added a snowflake diecut from my Cricut.

SpiegelMom Scraps - Saying Goodbye!

Wow! I cannot believe a whole year has passed since I joined the SpiegelMom Scraps team! What a wonderful Design Team to be on!! This is my last post with them as I have decided to see where things take me this year. I know I want to 'catch up' ;) on some scrapbooking for me, maybe focus on some more YouTube videos... but one thing is for sure - you'll definitely still be seeing lots of SMS sequins on my projects! For my last card I wanted to use this adorable image from the monthly challenge at the Gerda Steiner Designs blog - Gnome Couple Digi Image. One of the fun things about using these images is that just by linking up to the challenge you'll receive next month's challenge image FREE! I created a neat embossed background with the Emerald Creek Spiced Candy Aroma embossing powder. It actually smells like red hot candies - even after embossing!

I used sentiments on the front and inside of the card using sentiments from the Gnomies stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps and added a pretty Little Birdie Crafts handmade flower to the front. That cute Gnome Couple are layered on a piece of recycled packaging from the flower pack, diecut with an oval stitched die.

You can check out all the details on the SpiegelMom Scraps Instagram post HERE! You'll also find a discount code in the feed good until April 29th 😉

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to pop back nice and early tomorrow morning as I'll have a fabulous HOP video to share with you, and have a wonderful, crafty weekend!

Kitty Bee Designs - Definitely Tea Panda

Hello! I'm over on the Kitty Bee Designs blog today sharing a card using this adorable little Kitty Bee Designs Definitely Tea Panda digi stamp! It is finally spring here in Alberta (this week anyway ;) so I'm definitely in the mood for some bright spring colours. And, being a tea-lover this was a super easy image to have fun with! I used a pretty pink polka dot paper that was included in last month's Sampler Kit from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine and then layered on some sweet papers from Your Next Stamp.

I coloured this cutie up with Jane Davenport Magic Wand coloured pencils and added some white gel pen highlights before cutting her out with a stitched die. The sweet little sentiment from Your Next Stamp worked perfectly heat embossed on black cardstock with white powder! Don't be afraid to pull out other stamp sets you have to combine them with your digis. I added a few pretty SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and a cute cork heart to finish it off.

Happy Easter Bunnies!

Hi! How are you all doing today?!! With Easter approaching the end of the month I wanted to get a few Easter cards done, and this cute digi image from Gerda Steiner Designs - Spring Bunny Friends was just right to start with!

I used the YNS Stitched Hills dies to create a mask to softly layer a sky and grass background with Distress Oxide Inks and then added some YNS Stitched Clouds stamped with a CTMH Happy Easter greeting.

I added the Easter eggs from an older CTMH stamp and coloured both with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers - both alcohol based. I used some foam dots to pop them up to look like the cute bunnies are sitting behind and layered on some pretty SMS sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Turtley Awesome Card!

Hi friends! I'm back today with a cute little turtle card using the sweet Gerda Steiner Designs Hello Friend Turtle Digital Stamp.  The fun thing about this stamp is that it is being used in the June challenge over at the Gerda Steiner Designs blog - and if you purchase this stamp and submit it to the challenge you will get next month's challenge stamp FREE!

I printed this little guy out on white cardstock and coloured him with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are alcohol based. I used some white gel pen to create highlights and fussy cut him out.

I used the digital Echo Park Summer Fun collection, from Snap Click Supply. I've been playing around with this collection by opening up the papers and elements in PicMonkey (a free program) and layering them before printing them out. I even added a sentiment from the Birthday Turtle Digital Stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps.

I used some Glossy Accents to give a little dimension to some of the elements, popped up the cute turtle and added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins to finish it off!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!!

Kitty Bee Designs Challenge #96 - Congratulations!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #96 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #96 - Congratulations!

Super big thanks to our sponsor for this challenge

KaDoodle Bug Designs - http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/

and

Scrap N' Dipity - http://scrapndipity.com

For my project this week I used this adorable Magic In Every Cup digital stamp from Kadoodle Bug Designs! They include a coloured image as well in case you want to simply print and use the image - and you can find the cut files for this sweet image on their site too! I printed this cutie out on white cardstock, coloured him with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers and then used a Spellbinders Nestabilities die to cut out the panel and a coordinating mat. A bit of white gel pen adds highlights and some Glossy Accents added a gloss look to the beans and the unicorn's horn.

I love the Congrats sentiment from the Whatnot Sentiments Five stamp set from Your Next Stamp. I first stamped it on a white cardstock background with grey ink and then used a pretty Tim Holtz embossing folder from Sizzix to emboss this gorgeous background. A bit of Distress Oxide Inks sponged over top highlighted the beautiful leaves and flowers.

I used some new Kaisercraft Wildflower paper (my fav right now!!) to create a bow with the We R Memory Keepers 123 punch board and added some sequins and a cork heart from SpiegelMom Scraps.

Inside, I used a sentiment and images from the Perk Up stamp set by Your Next Stamp. I thought it matched the theme perfectly! A few matching sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps decorate the inside.
