Turtley Awesome Card!

Hi friends! I'm back today with a cute little turtle card using the sweet Gerda Steiner Designs Hello Friend Turtle Digital Stamp.  The fun thing about this stamp is that it is being used in the June challenge over at the Gerda Steiner Designs blog - and if you purchase this stamp and submit it to the challenge you will get next month's challenge stamp FREE!

I printed this little guy out on white cardstock and coloured him with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are alcohol based. I used some white gel pen to create highlights and fussy cut him out.

I used the digital Echo Park Summer Fun collection, from Snap Click Supply. I've been playing around with this collection by opening up the papers and elements in PicMonkey (a free program) and layering them before printing them out. I even added a sentiment from the Birthday Turtle Digital Stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps.

I used some Glossy Accents to give a little dimension to some of the elements, popped up the cute turtle and added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins to finish it off!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!!

Easter Greetings!

Happy Saturday! I've got a bright Easter treat bag and tag as well as a few more cards to share with you before Easter.  These sweet digital stamp images from Pretty Cute Stamps were so fun to work with I ended up making lots of fun projects this week. Just check the last few days for more ideas on how to use the new March release stamps!

I always make a special treat bag up for my niece, Sydney, for Easter, and of course I wanted to decorate it! I took a gift bag and layered some papers on it before adding some images from the EGGSellent digi stamp set. Adding some foam dots on different areas always adds some interest.

I've been playing with my Distress Oxide Inks lately and had this tag in my stash just waiting for the right project! I used a stencil, adding some purple dots and used a bit of washi tape on the bottom before layering a sentiment from the digi set. Some pretty sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps  added sparkle to both my tag and bag. I absolutely love the little mini flowers <3

Next up, I made these three cards for my youngest daughter, Erica's, preschool teachers using the EGGSellent digi stamp set and colouring with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers.

I used PicMonkey to layer the eggs, add the cracks and even colour the sentiment before printing them on a lightweight white cardstock.

I had some pretty Easter coloured papers in my stash and combined them to create a pretty card front. A few foam dots pop up different elements on the cards.

Inside, I used sentiments from the Pretty Cute Stamps Chocolate Bunny and Easter Blessings digi stamp sets. I print them all out of white cardstock at once and cut them out individually before using some Distress Inks to add some shading.

The last project I used the EGGSellent digi stamp set on was these quick and easy cards for some little family friends. Some pretty sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps adds a bit of bling! Aren't these colours beautiful?!!

I opened up a Project Life card (from the PL app on my phone that I had previously saved) in PicMonkey and then added the digital images from the Pretty Cute Stamps sets. By choosing the PNG version of each sentiment and image I was able to layer them, similar to a masking technique with traditional stamping. It really is very easy and fun! I changed the colour of the sentiments as well. When the stamps were layered as I wanted I printed them out, four to a page on white printer paper and glued them to my card bases.

Here's a look at the finished cards, with sequins and a bit of colour using coloured pencils on the bows.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a very Happy Easter!!

New Valentine Animals from Pretty Cute Stamps!

Hello! I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend :) We had a great weekend here - the weather has finally warmed up a bit, and we watched the movie Trolls over the weekend for our Family Movie night and our girls loved it!! It's so funny how many older songs are on the new kids' movie soundtracks now. I feel kinda cool knowing all the words ;) lol. We also did a bit of shopping and went swimming at our local YMCA. And, of course, I fit in some crafting!

I am so super excited to share some of the new designs that Lisa at Pretty Cute Stamps has come out with!! She put these adorable images in the shop this week and I thought they'd be perfect to whip up some adorable Valentines for some little family friends. I started off by opening up PicMonkey (one of my fav tools to work with digi stamps!) and adding a white jpeg. I simply saved a project life card to my computer and use it as a base. Then, I add layers to the white background by choosing to 'add an overlay' from my computer. I choose the PNG versions of the stamps and sentiments I want to add and arrange them as desired. Using the PNG version allows you to layer the images as if you were 'masking' them in regular stamping - but way easier! You can even change the colour of the image with a click! I coloured my sentiments and printed my animals in black. I even added a second adorable ostrich to the card on the bottom right and clicked the arrow button to flip him so they were facing each other. Easy peasy! I then used my new Jane Davenport Magic Wand coloured pencils to colour in my images, adding some shading in different areas.

I used these wonderful food-safe Mini Glassine Bags from SpiegelMom Scraps to fill with some Conversation Hearts and added part of a doily, some red twine and a sequin heart from the Love Beats Sequin Mix.

I stamped Happy Valentines Day from the Be Mine Pretty Cute Stamps clear stamp set on the back of my cards and attached the goodies to the top of the card with a couple glue dots.

Here's a look at these amazing new digital stamps available right now at Pretty Cute Stamps
