Gerda Steiner Designs Mermaid Card!

Hello! I'm back today with an adorable Mermaid Digital Stamp from the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop that I'm featuring on the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog! I just love her purple hair - if I was a mermaid I'd definitely want purple hair!! I was really excited to coordinate her with this fun Echo Park 6x6 Paper Pad called Mermaid Dreams. I used my Copics and coloured her up to match! A pretty scalloped edge circle die and hello word diecut from Studio Katia finished off the front of this 4 1/4" square card.

Inside, I added one of the cut apart elements from the paper pad, diecut with a Pinkfresh Die for a cute sentiment.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Day 2 You're Gnaw-some!

Hello and welcome back! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's previews! Today we are back with more inky goodness for our JANUARY 2020 release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and we have a sweet new valentine set for you designed by our amazing artist Neda Sadreddin! It's called....YOU'RE GNAW-SOME!

What a fun set of sweet little beavers! There are several main images and accessory stamps plus some super awesome coordinating sentiments! These little sweethearts make my heart happy - and are sure to make your sweetheart happy too 💗

I couldn't resist making two cards using these guys! I coloured up the images with Copic Markers, adding some white gel pen highlights and got to work. I added the heart-sunshine (brilliant!!) and cut out the images with a Sizzix heart die. I thought the Echo Park Little Lumberjack papers were just perfect for these images! I white heat embossed the sentiment and added a couple of the awesome Heart Dots (shown below). I also pulled out some Krafty Basics Dots to add to the top of the card. I added some of the new Crisp Crimson Ink through the new Petite Posies Stencil (both shown below) on top of the red cardstock, giving a subtle tone on tone effect.

Inside, I stamped this fab sentiment with the new Crisp Crimson Ink (shown below) and added a little flower from the set stamped with Wicked Black Ink.

For the second card I again stamped with the Wicked Black Ink, which is Copic and watercolour friendly, and coloured with Copic Markers. I just love how 'in love' these two look 💓 I added a frame from the Little Lumberjack ephemera pack and stamped another funny sentiment, cutting a banner shape. I added a Heart Dot and a few more of the Krafty Basics Dots to embellish the card front. Again, you can see the tone on tone effect from stenciling with the new ink & stencil on the red cardstock!

I love this sentiment, and I'm totally giving this card to my hubby!

Here are some more new goodies:

The perfect coordinating Krafty Dots for this release are, of course, heart shaped! This is an exclusive set and will not be available once sold out so be sure to grab some! These ones are called HEARTS DOTS!

There are TWO brand new Krafty Stencils for this month's release to help accessorize your creations - PETITE POSIES and TRIPPY TRIANGLES!

The newest addition to the Krafty Kolours Hybrid Ink line is a gorgeous new rich red named CRISP CRIMSON, available in full sized ink pads, mini cubes and ink refills!

Hello again! I have been having so much fun using the new Echo Park Little Lumberjack collection, and I'm over on the Scrap Shotz blog again today with another layout. For this project I'm using some fun photos we took this fall - trying hard to get just the right picture where everyone is looking at the camera - not so easy to do, lol!

Here's a look at the video where you can see exactly how this layout came together -

Echo Park Little Lumberjack - Product Review and Projects!

Hello friends! I am so excited to be over on the Scrap Shotz Blog today to share the new Echo Park Little Lumberjack collection - available in the shop now! This collection is full of plaids, nature images, flannels - just so awesome. Really it works with so many different themes... masculine, outdoors, camping, winter and even teddy bears as you'll see in my layout below. First, here's a look at all the available elements in this collection.

Here's a look at the video where you can see it all close up-

For my first project I decided to make a layout about the Grade 1 class bear, Barnaby, that came to visit! I thought these papers and stickers worked perfectly to document his adventures! I used the December Creative Scrapbooker Sketch as inspiration.

Next, I used the papers from the 6x6 pad along with all the other fun goodies to make 4 masculine cards. I never seem to have enough of these on hand, and they can easily be personalized with a message when needed.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to head over to the Scrap Shotz Blog where you can see closeups and get all the details on the Little Lumberjack collection and the projects I created! I'll be back to share more inspiration using this awesome collection on Friday, so don't forget to come on back!

Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!

Well hello again friends! I'm so super excited to be Guest Designing for the fantastic Your Next Stamp this month, and I can't wait to show you what I've created with their fun new stamp and die set Cool Tees for the New Release Blog Hop! If you missed the Sneak Peek Post with the adorable Card Buddies you can find that HERE. The Cool Tees stamp set is so fun with a T-shirt stamp and tons of sentiments and images you can add to it. My 12 year old daughter, Amie, actually had the idea to create a Tie-Dye T-shirt, so I pulled out my Ken Oliver Color Burst powders to get started. I had actually met Ken and taken a class over the weekend, which was fantastic, so I was all ready to get inky. There are so many great images in this stamp set that I just couldn't stop at one though!

Be sure to scroll all the way down for a discount code, a link to all the designers in the hop - and of course Blog Candy!

I started off by sprinkling Color Burst powders on a piece of Bristol Cardstock and let my 7 year old, Erica, spritz it with water. She thought it was super cool the way the colours created a magical background. Then, I took the Cool Tees T-shirt stamp and stamped it on the various areas of the background. I stamped with Gina K Amalgam Black Ink - my fav right now - and then diecut the T's out with the coordinating die.

I thought I'd do some Distress Oxide Ink Blending on each background behind the T-shirts to add colour and keep with the Tie-Dye look. Here, I used Blueprint Sketch, Festive Berries and Spiced Marmelade on 110 lb white cardstock and then spritzed with water to create this awesome effect.

I coloured in each of the cute images with Copic Markers and popped them up with foam tape. A bit of Glossy Accents and white gel pen add detail. I stamped the sentiments directly onto each T-shirt. I love how versatile this set is - perfect for so many occasions.

This Distress Oxide Ink combo is Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron and Spiced Marmalade.

I cut up a 12x12 piece of Echo Park Best Summer Ever paper to used as the base of my card. A bit of Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink edges it nicely. This Thumbs Up card could be great for a congrats or graduation card!

The Distress Oxide Ink combo for this card is Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean.

This cute coffee cup makes me laugh - and there's an equally cute Monday Coffee Cup in the set 😉 I stamped some star stamps from the set on the T-shirt and added some shiny sequins for just a little more bling!

This Distress Oxide Ink combo is Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers.

Lastly, I made a T-shirt tag using the cute frog and the YNS Cool Tag Four diecut inked with Festive Berries, Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink. This will make a perfect teacher gift for one of the amazing teachers at my girls' school - all wrapped up and ready to go!

Now, of course we have an awesome discount code for you to save on all the goodies in the YNS Shop!

FCCB #333 - Beach!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog Monday challenge!

Challenge #333-Beach
Make a project using anything Beach related. But there has to be a least one cut from the Cricut Library!

This Weeks Sponsor is-
https://www.printablecuttablecreatables.com/
And the prize is-

$25 Virtual Wallet!!!!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images. If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For this challenge I created a double page scrapbook layout using lots of Cricut cuts as well as SVG files from our fabulous sponsor, Printable Cuttable Creatables (see below for a list of files and cartridges used).  I always like to check to see what's free each week in Cricut Design Space, and I really loved the Photo Play Paper Happy Glamper files, which were print and cut. I figured while I had my Explore hooked up to my printer I would flatten all the cuts I was using and print & cut them all at once. I love using diecut ephemera packs, so this was awesome - I could cut as many as I wanted and size them just so!

We take a yearly camping trip to a campground in Alberta with a bunch of other families, and it was so cool to look back on 2012 to see how little the girls were on this trip. I realized after I took photos that I forgot to add the date and some journaling, but I will go back and do that! I have these in an album with the rest of the trip that year, so there is already a lot of journaling, and well... it was a busy weekend so I decided not to retake photos!

The PCC Sandbucket file was coloured so nicely that it matched my colour scheme perfectly! I love the shadows that come with the cutfiles and make it look so nice if you decide to print & cut.

I pulled out an older My Mind's Eye collection, Jubilee, that I had in my stash and used the pretty papers together with some background papers from another stash. I used a bit of watercolour pencils to add colour to the black and white cardstock below. The printed sentiment banner was from the Cricut Photo Play cut and I added a cute pink flamingo from an Echo Park sticker pack.

I wanted to bring some of the same colours in the photo and papers to the top left corner so I used some Distress Oxides and Inks and a pretty Vicki Boutin butterfly stencil along with lovely matching SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins. (Be sure to use the code KARLA15 to save 15% off at the SMS Shop!)

I layered some of the diecuts and created a title, using some twine to add to the banner effect.

For the second layout I brought in some of the same papers and used the butterfly stencil again. I just love looking back and seeing how adorably cute Erica's little chubby legs were! And Amie is the same age in the photo as Erica is now! That's one of the most important reasons I love scrapbooking - remembering all those little things just makes me happy :)

The PCC castle turned out really neat, and I added some glittery gel pen to the window and flags. I love the Echo Park brad and the printed sentiment layered along with bottom of the page.

Another cute flamingo brings in some more pink colour to the layout, layered beside the PCC beach ball and wave.

I popped up the sunglasses with foam tape and added some Glossy Accents to the Sunny part of the diecut title. Adding the black gel pen around the edge of the title just helped it stand out on top of the yellow background.

Supplies Used:
Cricut: Photo Play Paper Happy Glamper, Paisley, Create a Critter
PCC files: Sand Bucket & ShovelSandcastleBeach Ball & Swirly Ocean Wave

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the FCCB challenge blog to see what all the other fabulous designers came up with for this challenge, and enter your own project with at least one Cricut cut for a chance to win!
