Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge #620- Clean & Simple!

This week, Krafty Girl Jennifer is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is: 

CLEAN AND SIMPLE!

Clean and simple is definitely not my usual style, and it's actually a struggle to know when to stop, lol, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out! I'm using the awesome My Type stamp set, which has so many amazing sentiments. I've been wanting to use this Tim Holtz typewriter embossing folder forever and this was the perfect card to use it on! I even added a couple of the little staples from the Tiny Attacher stapler in the corners. 

I stamped my sentiment with Magical Midnight Ink - such a great navy colour, and watercoloured this cute typewriter in with Zebra Clickart Pens! I popped up the typewriter with foam tape and added three of the sparkly Classic Krafty Dots to embellish. Let me tell you, it was hard to stop, lol! 

Inside, I stamped the paper from the My Type set and a Get Well Soon Sentiment, adding a little yellow heart to finish it off!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December Skrappy Challenge!

Good morning krafty friends!

It's December and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

I recently created a chipboard mini album for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Retreat with the fabulous kit that was included and we made this book together online! Let me tell you, this was an amazing retreat with so many fantastic classes!! If you ever get a chance to participate in one of Kimmie's retreats, you will be blown away by the value of the kit, all the inspiring projects and the fabulous community of crafters!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps October Hop & Shop

  Woohoo!!!

Today we are celebrating all the new fabulous goodies in our October Release that are NOW available in the

 Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!

All three of our new stamp sets, plus two new stencils and a new hybrid ink colour were released yesterday along with our exclusive ADD-ON BUNDLE, 

and we're excited to share it ALL with you in a fabulous krafty HOP!

I absolutely had to use the adorable NARLY DUDE! set today!! These guys are just so darn cute! And I figured why not pair them with the awesome  Exclusive Charming Christmas Chipboard ornaments in this month's ADD ON BUNDLE to set a christmas scene! I used pretty pink, blue and gold sparkly embossing powders and an embossing ink pen to turn these ornaments into fabulous glittery creations! Of course the New SWEET SNOWFLAKES Stenciled background had to have lots of pretty colours, including the New FESTIVE FUSCHIA, Ocean Opulence and Aqua Adventure Inks.

I diecut a Christmas tree from white cardstock and sponged it with the New FESTIVE FUSCHIA and Pretty In Pink Inks and then rubbed on some of that amazing sparkly Moonstone Glimmer Paste over top. I decorated with some diecut stars and the beautiful Classic Krafty Dots, again from the ADD ON BUNDLE. I just love the glitter in these enamel dots!! I coloured up the sweet narwhals with Copic Markers and added some Stickles and white gel pen highlights. 

I added the first part of a sentiment from Wish Upon A Star and then stamped Narly from the NARLY DUDE to finish it off, again inked in that beautiful FESTIVE FUSCHIA Ink. I finished off my scene with the snowflake charm from the ADD ON BUNDLE and added one more glittery Krafty Dot to the center! I think this is a super fun way to wish anyone a Merry - or Narly - Christmas!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps October Krafty Peeks... Day TWO! Frosty Fun!

  Welcome back to Day TWO of our October Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from 

artist Sabrina van Vloten

 and it's called.....

FROSTY FUN!

This amazing set features so many sweet animal friends who are bundled up and ready to have lots of frosty fun!!

I started off with a mini slimline cardbase and stencilled pink snowflakes using our New FESTIVE FUSCHIA Ink. Then I used the fabulous Moonstone Glimmer Paste included in the OCTOBER ADD-ON BUNDLE for lots of shimmer and shine on top of the ink! I added a patterned paper border from the Craft Consortium Made By Elves paper pack - such a cute scene! 

I coloured the images with Copics, added white gel pen highlights and popped them up over some stitched snowy hills. 

I used paint markers to add colour to the chipboard banner and presents from the Exclusive Charming Christmas Chipboard and added some pretty sequins & Krafty Dots, all included in the ADD-ON BUNDLE!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge #600 - Easel Cards!

fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps !

Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?

We've got some fabulous ideas for you 

and can't wait to see what you create!

This week, Krafty Girl Tamara is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is: 

MAKE AN EASEL CARD!

This is such a great challenge! Easel cards are super easy to make, but look like you've had to figure out all kinds of details! Basically, you fold an A2 card base that is top folding - so cut your paper to 4 1/4" x 11" and fold at 5 1/2". Now you have a top folding cardbase. Next - Score the top of the cardbase at 2 3/4" so it essentially can bend in half. Now, you can add a focal layer with your stamped sentiment, scene, etc, and only glue the bottom part of that element (I'm using a scalloped rectangle for my card) to the bottom fold of the card base. When you add a popped up sentiment inside, your card becomes an easel and will rest against the sentiment. It will simply fold flat to mail however! You can embellish as desired!! 

I decided to use the New Long Landscapes stamp with the beautiful sailboat scene to be the focal image on this card! I stamped it in Totally Taupe for a no-line effect and coloured it in with Zebra Mildliners on watercolour paper. They are actually waterbased and you can watercolour with them!  I also stamped a couple clouds from the Valiant Viking set with Bubbly Blue Ink. I used the New Diagon-illy Stencil with the beautiful New Incredible Indigo Ink to create a fun stripy background! I used a sentiment on the front of the card from Life Is The Bubbles and some Krafty Dots, and then I added one of the Long Landscapes sentiments popped up inside the card.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September Krafty Peeks... Day FOUR! Mice Christmas Plus a Challenge!

 Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the September Release

MICE CHRISTMAS! 

Sabrina's sweet mice friends are back to help celebrate the holidays! You might remember them from the adorable Too Cute To Spook and You're A Squeak-heart sets! I can't wait to mix and match these cuties! 

I am working away on my December 2020 album, because... you know! I pulled this sweet cut apart journaling card from the Photoplay paper pad in the ADD-ON BUNDLE and thought it was perfect to use in my pocket page to document our gingerbread house making adventure. 

I had so much fun colouring up these adorable mice from MICE CHRISTMAS! Of course I had to use the ones holding the candy canes! I coloured them with Copics and added some white gel pen highlights. 

I found some fun sequin mixes in my stash to add to the page and also used the pretty Waterfall Stickles from the ADD-ON BUNDLE. 

The CHRISTMAS CANDY STENCIL is so fabulous and I decided to make my own embellishments by using Krafty Kolours Inks and then adding gel pen details. A 1/2" punch was the perfect size for those little peppermints!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September Krafty Peeks... Day THREE! Wooly Wonderland!

 Today is our third day of Krafty Peeks for the September Release

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we are 'peeking' a fabulous set 

from artist Michelle Houghton

 and it's called.....

WOOLY WONDERLAND!

Ewe'll have the coolest cards around with this fantastic mix and match set of wooly critters!

Ok, these guys are hilarious! I love their cute little faces and sweet accessories! There are so many ways to use these guys... I decided on colouring this fluffy scarf wearing fellow with Copics and if you'll look behind him you'll see a set we Peeked yesterday - LONG LANDSCAPES, which I turned into a snowy, winter scene! 

I used the pretty Photoplay paper from the ADD-ON BUNDLE behind my scene and grabbed a puffy snow marker for snowy accents. I love the punny sentiment that I stamped with the New INCREDIBLE INDIGO Ink! I added in some Krafty dots and white gel pen highlights and I couldn't resist adding an action wobbler behind this guy's head!

I added on one of the little charms- adorable - from the ADD-ON BUNDLE as well as a tiny bell. The New CHRISTMAS CANDY Stencil was perfect to create some peppermint embellishments, frosted with shimmery Lustre Polish and Tonic Crystal Glaze. A 1/2" size circle punch was just the right size!
