Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps July New Release Sneak Peeks Day 2- Be A Mermaid!

We are continuing our new release countdown today! Are you lovin' what you've seen so far? Because we've got MORE! It's Day TWO day of JULY Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Today we've got an incredibly magical new stamp set for you!    We've got a brilliant new collection of fantastic images from artist Sabrina van Vloten! It's called....BE A MERMAID! I mean...who DOESN'T wanna be a mermaid? This sweet new set features FIVE mermaid images (including an awesome mer-dude) plus some underwater friends, accessory stamps and some coordinating sentiments!

Check out BE A MERMAID in action as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs today!  You'll also see the new stencils, new ink and new dots along the way!!  For today's project I'm using two of these adorable mermaids- seriously, I can't believe how many there are along with stingrays and dolphins 🐬 - to create an underwater scene. I decided to create a textured background using the NEW SHE SELLS SEASHELLS Stencil with Distress Grit Paste over top of a piece of cardstock that I first sponged with Sandy Shores, Totally Taupe & Lovely Lagoon Krafty Kolours Inks. After the Grit Paste dried I sponged over it with Sandy Shores on the bottom half and the NEW FRESH FIELDS Ink to highlight the raised areas.

I coloured in all these sweet images with Copics and added some white and stardust gel pen highlights. I used some Copper Pearl Opal Polish to add some shimmery sunrays to the water using our Summer Sunbeams Stencil.

I just love the little seashells included with this set! I added them to various areas of the card and added a fun sentiment from the set!

You'll see MORE of our brand new goodies on Saturday  and everything will be released at our LIVE Online Release Party in the Krafty Friends facebook group on Saturday, July 11th at 2pm EST! Be sure to comment for a chance to win Krafty 💰's!! And be sure to come on back tomorrow for one MORE fun-filled summer stamp set!! Happy hoppin'!

Gerda Steiner Designs Mermaid Card!

Hello! I'm back today with an adorable Mermaid Digital Stamp from the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop that I'm featuring on the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog! I just love her purple hair - if I was a mermaid I'd definitely want purple hair!! I was really excited to coordinate her with this fun Echo Park 6x6 Paper Pad called Mermaid Dreams. I used my Copics and coloured her up to match! A pretty scalloped edge circle die and hello word diecut from Studio Katia finished off the front of this 4 1/4" square card.

Inside, I added one of the cut apart elements from the paper pad, diecut with a Pinkfresh Die for a cute sentiment.

Birthday Splash!

Hey there friends!! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend. We had sunshine and rain- but we managed to get out a bit, and even slept in the tent in our backyard Saturday night. The kids loved it, but I don't know if I'd say tenting is my favourite thing, lol.

Today I'm sharing this adorable Mermaid Kisses Digital Stamp set from the Pretty Cute Stamps store that I used to create this card. I opened the mermaid digital stamp in PicMonkey, a free online photo editing program and layered on the present and sentiment before colouring in the background with alcohol based markers.  You could also print out your images and layer them as you wish. Check out the TUTORIAL I created here to show you how easy this is!

I added Stickles and sequins from 28 Lilac Lane and then edged my oval with Versamark and silver embossing powder to add lots of shiny sparkly fun!

Inside, I used the sentiment from the Merman Digital Stamp set.

Here's a look at the digital stamp sets I used:

Mermaid Card with Digi Stamp Layering Tutorial!

Hi Friends! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We had a lot of rain and even a little hail this weekend, but you gotta take the rain with the shine right! I'm sharing a card I made with the new Mermaid Kisses Digital Stamp this month from Pretty Cute Stamps. If you haven't checked them out you'll be amazed! They are so darn cute, and so fun to work with!!

I used some pretty papers from the Boardwalk Collection from BoBunny and layered on my printed and coloured image from the Mermaid Kisses digital stamp set. Alcohol based markers, such as Copics or Prismacolor markers, work well with injet printers. I even added some Stickles and Gelly Roll pens to my project after colouring to add some shimmer.

Inside, I added this adorable sentiment, included in the set!

I've put together a bit of a tutorial to show you how easy it is to print out a layered image using PicMonkey - a free photo editing program you open in your browser - no downloading required.

1. Open PicMonkey and choose EDIT at the top of the screen. A box will pop up allowing you to choose your JPEG image from the images you've downloaded from Pretty Cute Stamps. For this card, I chose the Lounging Mermaid. This opens it on your screen.

2. To the left of your screen you now see the Editor and you can add the stamps you want to overlay. Choose the Butterfly icon which opens Overlays and choose 'Your Own' at the top of the screen. This opens the file folder you just opened the mermaid from.

3. Choose the digital stamp you want to overlay - in the PNG format. I chose the present file - click Open.

4. This opens the digital stamp onto your background (Mermaid). You can resize your image by placing your mouse cursor at one of the corners and making it as small or large as you wish. You can even change the colour and turn your image!

5. I made my present smaller and placed it on her hand as if she was holding it. For my actual card you can see I put a cupcake in her hand and added two layered presents in different sizes at the bottom.

7. You can even add a sentiment directly to the image! When you have your image just the way you want it you can save it by clicking Save at the top of the screen, then Save To My Computer on the left of the screen. MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR FILE AS A DIFFERENT NAME THOUGH so you don't overwrite the original file!

Now you can print your file from your computer, colour and enjoy!! Think how cute this image would be printed in a larger size and framed!

Pretty Cute Stamps June 2016 Sneak Peeks!

This is an exciting week! The new digital stamp releases arrive at the Pretty Cute Stamps store on Thursday, but don't worry, you'll get lots of sneak peeks between now and then to get you super excited for these awesome sets that Lisa has put together for you!!

I decided to make a pocket page scrapbook layout using the new Mermaid Kisses digital stamp set! I love this sweet little mermaid and the fonts used for this sweet sentiment. I can't wait for you to see the whole set released on Thursday ;) I've been working on some summer photos from a camping trip we went on a couple years ago. It's amazing to see how much the kids have grown since then! This set along with some fun Simple Stories papers were the perfect thing to finish my page.

I used a cute summery journaling card from Simple Stories in my pocket page and added this adorable little mermaid, which I coloured with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers.

I love, love, love this sentiment! I thought it would be perfect as a focal point for my journaling card - so I printed the digi stamp directly onto a piece of patterned paper cut to 4x6. I used some Glossy Accents to accent the starfish after colouring with Prismacolor pencils and then added some embellishments and stickers.

And here's a sweet FREEBIE available for you this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Pretty Cute Stamps blog to pick up your FREE digital stamp and see all the other amazing sneak peeks - you'll be blown away by all the new sets and the new additions to our Design Team! There will be sneak peeks everyday until Thursday when you'll get to see all the sets and join in the New Release Blog Hop! Have a wonderful week everyone.
