We've had record high temps here in Alberta and we have been trying to create a balance between keeping cool, but enjoying the warm weather, and not complaining because soon enough... you know! I'm over on the Emerald Creek Craft Supplies blog today to share a card using our theme this month - Outdoors! I feel like I've done a lot of camping layouts lately, so I wanted to use this awesome Unicorn Stamp from Emerald Creek to create a sunshine and rainbow card - and since I could think of a whole bunch of stamp sets that I could combine to create this card I thought I would use them all together along with some beautiful Emerald Creek Embossing Powders for a wonderful, bright, sunshiny card!

Autumn Blessings Card!
Hey Crafty Friends! It's certainly feeling like fall around here, and I think the saying applies "if you can't beat them - join them", applies here! I thought I'd share a fall card I made using some Recollections and BoBunny cardstocks and a couple diecut fall leaves layered over some bakers twine along with sequins and a pretty button from the 28 Lilac Lane Collections!
Our Thanksgiving here in Canada is a lot earlier than the US, so it never hurts to start early to have a few extra Thanksgiving cards on hand. I love this pretty sentiment from the Thankful stamp set from Pink and Main - that script is just so lovely!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have you started making fall - or dare I say Christmas - cards yet?! I must confess, I'm thinking about it already ;) Wishing you a very happy, and very crafty week!

Flip Book Fun - Have a Magical Day!
I have been seeing so many Flip Book tutorials lately on YouTube and thought I'd try one out for a swap! It was so much fun I'm definitely going to have to try it again! I used Project Life cards from the Bloom collection to create my book, bound with Heidi Swapp washi tape.
These adorable little Lawn Fawn fairy stamps were so cute, and I thought they'd work with the flower theme. I even added some stamped and cut out images to the little Just For You pocket for my friend! These are great to use up lots of little bitty pieces of goodness in your paper collection. I added some stamps from the Believe Script stamp set by Pink and Main.
Thanks so much for joining me today! Hope you have a lovely, crafty weekend!

Macaron Digi Stamp Card!
Hi friends! I'm blogging my last post over on the Scrapping Everyday Miracles blog today and sharing some tips and techniques. Even though my time there is done, I've enjoyed being part of this wonderful design team. These girls are awesome!
For my tip/technique today I'm talking about Digital Stamps. If you google or check Pinterest for digi stamps you are sure to come across many, many very cute options available - many which are free! I found this adorable Macaron Stamp on Jane's Doodles blog. It is a JPEG that you can simply right click and save to your computer. I have a PC - not a mac, so that's what I do on mine ;) This saves the image as a photo and I can print it off whatever size I wish!
Here are a few tips I have found helpful when using your digi stamps:
- Print in Fast Draft on your printer. This is the setting that uses less ink and reduces any bleeding of your image.
- Heat set your image after printing.
- Print on white cardstock. I just feed the sheet of cardstock through my printer and don't even change the paper settings.
- Using an alcohol based marker, such as Copics or Prismacolors, prevents bleeding of the ink. You could even use coloured pencils! I have used water based markers before, but you have to be careful to not touch the black lines too much, so I usually stick to my Prismacolors.
After I coloured my image in I used some pretty Stickles to add some shiny sparkles to the icing and I stamped a sentiment using a stamp set from CTMH.
I fussy cut around my image and popped it up with foam dots over my patterned paper background and added some washi and sequins from 28 Lilac Lane.

Color Burst Feminine Card!
I am really loving playing with my new Color Burst powders! They do such fun things when you add water to them, and I love the vibrant watercolours they make. I had fun making some background papers using them last week with my 4 year old. She thought it was really cool too! Having that pretty background already done made this card quick and easy.
I used a face stamp and words from a Dina Wakley stamp set to stamp on my Color Burst background before cutting my face out with some Spellbinder's nesting dies and then popping them up over my script paper background and washi tape.
I love the words that come with the face stamps! The butterfly stamp is from a Prima set that a friend recently sent me. After stamping I hand cut around them and glued them down in the middle only so I could pull up the wings to add some dimension.
Inside, I used this sentiment from a stamp set I love from Pink and Main - Believe Script, and used a strip of the background paper along with another butterfly.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you get some crafty, inky time this week!

Thx a Bunch!
It is a wonderful, sunny, spring day here in Calgary today! We are getting out to enjoy the weather very soon, but I first wanted to share this cute card I made with the Many Thanks set from Pink and Main and the Paper Play Sketch this week. I realized I need a few more thank you cards in my stash!
How cute is this little cell phone?!! I used Prismacolor Markers to colour in my stamped images.
Inside, I used another lovely sentiment from the set.
I had some little adhesive dots in my stash - perfect for the home button on the little phone, and to add dimension to my card and continue with the polka dot and colour theme!
Thank YOU so much for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Be Happy Single Layer Card!
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! We spend today going to a farmers marker and a kid's craft at Home Depot - a local building supply store, where the girls got to make their very own butterfly houses. They love being able to build something with wood and a hammer and nails! As soon as we got home they put them outside. I'm not sure it's quite warm enough for butterflies yet, but hopefully soon! Then, I got to do some scrapbooking - my kind of day!
I just wanted to share a quick card with you today. Recently a Facebook group that I'm in, Comnected Inspirations, had a Pinterest Challenge to inspire the members to create a one layer card on Kraft cardstock using white ink. I really have trouble with one layer cards! I just want to keep adding more, lol. However I was pleased with how this one turned out.
I started off masking an area at the top and bottom of my card and stamping a wood grain design. I found that the white ink I was using just didn't provide enough contrast, so I ended up white heat embossing my stamping. The Be Happy stamp is by Pink and Main from the Believe Script set - one of my favourites!
Inside, I used another sentiment from the Believe Script Pink and Main stamp set, adding more of the little stars.

The flower and butterfly stamps are from an older Magenta stamp set I had. After heat embossing I used some Distress and Tombow markers to colour in parts of the images. I love how the white Distress Marker looks on the Kraft cardstock. Then, I used the Dylusions white paint pen to draw some lines and faux stitching around the card. I'm going to have fun using this paint pen!

Happy New Year Art Journal Tutorial!
Hi there friends! I was recently making an art journal page, inspired by the amazing and talented Vicky Papaioannou's New Year Art Journal video, and thought I'd make a little tutorial. Sometimes when you look at a mixed media piece it's hard to pull apart the layers and see where to start. It's really not that hard and following these steps you can create your own piece - either in an art journal, on a canvas, or even on a tag.
I used a white gel pen to write down my goals around the page. This beautiful script stamp, sequins and stars are from the Believe Script stamp set by Pink and Main.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have you set any goals for 2016? I hope this inspires you to get out some paints and inks and have fun playing!
