13 Days Of Halloween - Day 7 - Foiled Cricut Tags!

Hello! Well, I must admit it doesn't feel much like Halloween anymore - we just got another snowstorm and it feels more like Christmas! Hopefully it will be much nicer when October 31st comes around though. We always have to take into account whether the girls will have to wear winter gear under their costumes, and I think this year's outfits will be perfect for that! (scroll down to see what they'll be wearing) Today, for the 13 Days Of Halloween Series on YouTube I made some fun Halloween Tags with my Cricut Maker and used the We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill to add a foiled sentiment to the back.

I used both gold foil and the Foil Quill along with a silver Cricut gel pen to add my sentiment to the back side of the tags. I chose to colour in one with gel pen and leave the other as an outline.

Distress Oxide Inks add some shading and highlights to the cardstock edges. The Tim Holtz Chit Chat Occasions stickers add spooky wishes to the front.

I decorated the front of the tags with Studio Katia and Buttons Galore and More sequins and gems for a bit of bling, and then added a coordinating piece of baker's twine.

I even spritzed the pumpkin and owl with sparkly Dylusions Mica Sprays for some extra Halloween shine!

Here's a look at the video where you can check out exactly how I made these cute tags!

I let my girls do the decorating this year and this is how our mantel looks. I think they did a great job! How many projects can you spot from previous years?!!

And here's a look at the costumes they chose this year. I'm not sure if we were hungry when we went shopping or what, lol... These will work at a Halloween Party inside or over winter jackets outdoors, so that's a win-win!

Thanks so much for stopping by! You can find these Foiled Halloween Tags in Cricut Design Space if you'd like to make them yourself. Be sure to check out Day 7 of the 13 Days Of Halloween, and have a wonderful week!

Kitty Bee Designs - Cotton Candy Panda Birthday Card!

Hello friends! I'm posting over at the Kitty Bee Designs blog today and featuring this adorable Cotton Candy Panda Digital Stamp from Kitty Bee Designs! The Carta Bella Summer Lovin' papers I had in my stash were perfect to coordinate with this cute stamp, and just right for my 5 year old, Erica's, little friend's birthday!

I used two Spellbinders Nestabilities dies to cut out my image and a coordinating mat from the patterned paper before popping them up on foam dots for dimension. A bit of Distress Ink added some shading around the edges.

Inside, I used a Happy Birthday stamp from the Waddles Bring On The BBQ stamp set by Your Next Stamp and decorated with some pretty sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

Your Next Stamp - DT Dare Just For You!

Hello friends! I'm back today with a special DT Dare using the New Release stamps from Your Next Stamp! *You can win a stamp set of your choice by leaving a comment on the YNS DT Dare blog post!! The challenge for this 'Dare' was to create a project using the theme "Just For You". As soon as I saw the adorable Bugs and Kisses stamp set I knew I wanted to create a card and tag using them. And I love the beautiful scripty sentiments in the Whatnot Sentiment Ten set - so how perfect to combine them to help me make a set to thank someone for being so wonderful!

I created a mixed media gift tag by layering inks and paste to give pretty layers. I love the pink and blue colour scheme!

I started off by sponging Distress Oxide Inks onto a manilla tag and then spritzing it with water droplets.

Next, I used some clear Matte Gel texture paste mixed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam through a stencil to create texture on the background. The Ranger Craft Squeegee worked well to pull the paste over the stencil!

I stamped directly onto my tag with sentiments from the Whatnot Sentiment Ten and Bugs and Kisses stamp sets and used the clouds from the bug set to stamp with water - which left an image on the Distress Ink background, since they react with water!

I even stamped right on some seam binding ribbon with some sentiments from this set! Since I used waterproof ink I didn't have to worry that it would bleed.

And, lastly, I coloured my ribbon with Distress Oxide Inks by smooshing them on the craft mat, spritzing with water, and scrunching my ribbon up to lay it in the colour. These adorable bugs were watercoloured using Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers and I added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam to the dragonfly.

By adding foam dots I gave these little bugs some dimension and used the new Firecracker Sparkly Gumdrops along with sequins, a button, and SMS burlap string.

The sweet butterfly in the Whatnot Sentiment Ten was stamped on the background with Distress Ink, and I used a heart stamp from the Bugs and Kisses set, coloured in and covered with Glossy Accents.

For the card, I created another tag in a similar way and added my cute ladybug image along with a couple stamped sentiments. Some baker's twine looped several times made a thick bow and I gathered it together using a pretty button.

I used some of the Firecracker Sparkly Gumdrops and more sequins to embellish. I love the Kaisercraft Wildflower paper I used on the card base!

Inside, I used the Thanks from the Whatnot Sentiment Ten and some more lovely butterflies stamped with Distress Oxide Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Your Next Stamp blog to see what all the other designers have come up with for this challenge - and leave a comment on the DT Dare post to have your name entered into a draw for a stamp set of your choice!! (comments must be left by June 16 and the winner will be drawn on June 18)

Your Next Stamp - June Guest Designer!

Hi there friends! I did say I had some exciting news to share with you today, and here it is! I'm so so excited to be Guest Designing with Your Next Stamp this month!! They have the CUTEST stamps and dies and they also carry papers, inks and embellishments! I can't wait to share all the wonderful creations I've made with you all month long. Today, being the first, there's a fun INTRO on the Your Next Stamp blog which introduces any of the Guest Designers for the month - and I'm so honoured to be a part of it.

For my card today I used the Waddles Rainbow Fun stamp set. It is so adorable :) I stamped this cutie and the rainbow on watercolour paper and coloured him in with some Twinkling H2O's and Shimmerz Inklingz watercolours and then used some Distress Ink for the background. The Swoosh sentiment just goes perfectly!

I popped up Waddles sliding down the rainbow as well as one of the clouds included in the stamp set to add some dimension and also added a cute little wood veneer heart. My Spellbinders Nestabilities dies worked great to cut out my little scene and add a border with some pretty spring paper.

I added a loopy bow with a pretty button from Buttons Galore and some sparkly SpiegelMom Scraps sequins to embellish, along with some layers of paper punched with an AC border punch.

Inside, I used this awesome sentiment from the set, more sequins and this cute penguin image!

Here's a look at everything you can find on the Waddles Rainbow Fun stamp set:

You'll definitely want to put the Your Next Stamp blog on your list to check out - every month they have new releases, sales, colour and sketch challenges (where you can use whatever stamp you have), giveaways and tons of inspiration! Kitty Bee Designs - Bunny Gift Card Holder!

Hello crafty friends! I'm posting over at the Kitty Bee Designs blog today and showing off this adorable Sleeping Mushroom Bun Kitty Bee Designs Digital Stamp on this cute folded gift card holder!

We are coming up to the end of the school year, and I have lots of gift cards to give out to teachers. I thought this would be a cute way to dress them up and add a special touch to their end of the year gifts! I coloured this cute digi stamp in with my Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, added white gel pen for highlights, and then used a Spellbinders die to cut him out.

I embellished the box with SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and a sparkly clear jelly roll pen for some sparkle, a loopy ribbon bow, and a button from Buttons Galore and More.

Here's a look at the box opened up. I added a little adhesive Velcro tab to keep it closed and wrapped the gift card in some pretty patterned tissue paper wrapped with bakers twine and a tag.

If you want directions to make your own folded box you can follow along with this video by Angie from Chic'n Scratch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Kitty Bee Designs store to pick out your favourite stamp, and I hope you have a great week!!

Distress Crayon Watercolour in a Decorated Frame!

Happy New Year Friends!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Years! I took a little bloggy break to enjoy some family time and a few jammie days! I'm back today to share a gift I made for my sister. I love giving at least one homemade gift to her, and I was really pleased with how this turned out.

I started out by using a page from the Prima Watercolor Coloring Book. I knew this book was something I had to have as soon as I saw it last year! You can use whatever watercolouring medium you like on the pages, and for this page I chose to use my Distress Watercolor Crayons. Love them!!

Around the silver frame I added a couple clusters of embellishments - diecuts, paper ephemera, gold stars and sequins and pearls from a 28 Lilac Lane embellishment kit. I used Distress Inks to add some colour around the edge of this cute bird diecut. Inside the cute frame I added a mini card from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away 6x6 paper pad.

At the top I used feathers that I diecut with my Cricut and shaded with Distress Inks along with an arrow and more stars from a Project Life kit and popped up a layer to add dimension.

Well, my sister loved it - and sent me a photo of it on a gallery wall in her bedroom!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you're staying warm and cozy this week - and getting some crafty time ;)

Kitty Bee Designs Challenge #82 - Orange and Black!

Hi friends! I'm back today to share the project I made for the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge this week using an Orange and Black theme! Since Halloween is coming up really soon, that wasn't hard at all!

Our sponsor this week is the wonderful digital stamp company, Aurora Wings. Please check them out and show them some love for being such a wonderful sponsor! You can find their beautiful images on their website Aurora Wings and their Etsy shop.

For my card I'm using this adorable Candy Corn Fairy digital stamp, which I coloured with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers. I used some Halloween papers from my stash, along with Distress Ink for edging and some Izink orange ink for fun splatters! I love how these creepy spiders are in the background, but the sweet fairy makes this card not too scary ;)

I popped her up on foam dots and used some orange and clear Stickles to giver her some shimmery fun - because of course a fairy needs shimmer! These pretty sequins and the button I added are from the 28 Lilac Lane collection.

Inside, I used the rest of that doily from the front of the card and added some sentiment stamps from the Bewitched stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps.

You can see the video I created to show you how I made this card here!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Orange and Black challenge at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge blog and enter your own project for a chance to win!
