Mixed Media Birthday Card!

Hello! I hope you are all doing well. I'm over on the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog today with a cute mixed media birthday card using the Cat With Balloons digital stamp from the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop! I had fun with Dina Wakley Gloss Spray paints and Distress Oxide Mists to create an awesome background before adding this adorable kitty coloured with Copic Markers. I added some cardstock stickers with a birthday sentiment that arrived in the latest SCT Sampler pack! And, in case you're wondering - that fabulous blue splattered paper in the background is from my friend, Nicole Wright's newest collection from Wild Whisper - Fanciful Florals!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog to get closeups and details - and check out the Shop for all kinds of fun clear and digital stamps!

Gal Pal Valentine Love!

Hi friends! I just love Valentines Day <3 All those gorgeous reds and pinks together with words of love! We really don't go out on Valentines Day, but rather make it a fun family LOVE day. The girls love getting Valentines and a little treat and I think it's a special day to show those around you how much you care. This year I really wanted to make some Valentines for a few special ladies in my life. I'm so thankful for all my awesome friends, and this was a small way to say thanks to a few of them!
I layered some pretty papers, edged with Distress Inks, added some diecut circles stamped with these gorgeous Dina Wakely girl faces, which I coloured with my new Jane Davenport coloured pencils (love!!) and added some sequins, lace and popped up some fussy cut flowers. Ta-Da!
Here's a look at the inside, stamped with an older CTMH stamp from my stash with a 'friend' sentiment on it. I used the awesome lips stamp from the Be Mine Pretty Cute Stamp set on the envelope - SWAK!!

Supplies:
Paper - Carta Bella, AC Maggie Holmes
Stamps - Dina Wakely, Lawn Fawn, Pretty Cute Stamps, CTMH
Embellishments - Lace, Sequins by SpiegelMom Scraps
Distress Inks, coloured pencils by Jane Davenport

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'd love to know if you're making Valentines for your gal pals?!

Color Burst Feminine Card!

I am really loving playing with my new Color Burst powders! They do such fun things when you add water to them, and I love the vibrant watercolours they make. I had fun making some background papers using them last week with my 4 year old. She thought it was really cool too! Having that pretty background already done made this card quick and easy.

I used a face stamp and words from a Dina Wakley stamp set to stamp on my Color Burst background before cutting my face out with some Spellbinder's nesting dies and then popping them up over my script paper background and washi tape.

I love the words that come with the face stamps! The butterfly stamp is from a Prima set that a friend recently sent me. After stamping I hand cut around them and glued them down in the middle only so I could pull up the wings to add some dimension.

Inside, I used this sentiment from a stamp set I love from Pink and Main - Believe Script, and used a strip of the background paper along with another butterfly.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you get some crafty, inky time this week!
