Scrap 'N Stamp - Side Order Blog Hop!

Hi friends! I'm really excited to be part of another awesome blog hop with the Scrap 'N Stamp team, and this month we are featuring the fantastic Tim Holtz Side Orders!! If you've come from Amber's Blog you're in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning, head over to see Tara at the Scrap 'N Stamp Blog. Wait till you see the amazing projects everyone creates with these cool Side Order sets...

Today I'm using the Side Order of Love set to create a beautiful summery wedding card! These are adorable little sets that come with some mini dies and a coordinating embossing folder. You can use them in the Tim Holtz Side Kick or in your regular diecutting/embossing machine.  I used my Cuttlebug for my project, but I'm really tempted to get that adorable Side Kick ;) Scroll down to see close up photos and a link to my Process Video below where I have a tutorial to create this Double Z Fold Card.

This wedding image from the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls pack was just right to add to the front of this card! I coloured in the flowers to make them pop.

The Emerald Creek Northern Lights embossing powder created a cool resist on the tag that I embossed with the mini heart embossing folder included in the set. I added some Tattered Angels mists to the background and then layered on the adorable envelopes cut from the dies. I used the Love die to cut the sentiment a few times and stacked them to create a chipboard-look.

I used a pretty Kaisercraft paper pad to cover the folds - I love the soft colours! Here you can see what it looks like when it's opened up.

I have a spot to write a message and even added a little envelope on a paper clip, which would also be perfect for a planner! Aren't those Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers sweet!!

Inside I stamped a greeting from Your Next Stamp. I love the little heart candy box! And don't forget you can use the heart and bow separate - so many possibilities.

I finished off with a few SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and really love how this card turned out! You can see that this Side Order of Love is not just for Valentines, but has so many uses. I never get tired of using hearts on my projects 💜

Gal Pal Valentine Love!

Hi friends! I just love Valentines Day <3 All those gorgeous reds and pinks together with words of love! We really don't go out on Valentines Day, but rather make it a fun family LOVE day. The girls love getting Valentines and a little treat and I think it's a special day to show those around you how much you care. This year I really wanted to make some Valentines for a few special ladies in my life. I'm so thankful for all my awesome friends, and this was a small way to say thanks to a few of them!
I layered some pretty papers, edged with Distress Inks, added some diecut circles stamped with these gorgeous Dina Wakely girl faces, which I coloured with my new Jane Davenport coloured pencils (love!!) and added some sequins, lace and popped up some fussy cut flowers. Ta-Da!
Here's a look at the inside, stamped with an older CTMH stamp from my stash with a 'friend' sentiment on it. I used the awesome lips stamp from the Be Mine Pretty Cute Stamp set on the envelope - SWAK!!

Supplies:
Paper - Carta Bella, AC Maggie Holmes
Stamps - Dina Wakely, Lawn Fawn, Pretty Cute Stamps, CTMH
Embellishments - Lace, Sequins by SpiegelMom Scraps
Distress Inks, coloured pencils by Jane Davenport

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'd love to know if you're making Valentines for your gal pals?!

Pretty Cute Stamps - May 2016 New Release Digital Stamp Blog Hop!

Thanks so much for joining us for the May 2016 Digital Stamp Release Blog Hop, where we are all sharing projects featuring the new digital stamps this month that are now available in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store!

If you came from Gloria's blog, you are in the right place. If you just stumbled across this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog

For my project for the hop, I've used the S'mores and S'mores Sentiments digital stamp sets to create this awesome, ooey, gooey card! I found some great camping papers in my stash and they paired perfectly with these cute stamps. I used PicMonkey (a free photo editing software) to insert the cute little faces onto my digi stamps, and then printed them out and coloured them with alcohol based Prismacolor and Hobby Color Markers. I cut out the S'mores sentiment, after printing on white cardstock, and rounded the corners. A bit of brown Distress Ink around the edges coordinated everything, and some sparkly white Stickles added some bling to my adorable marshmallow!

A little Glossy Accents on my melted chocolate actually makes it look super ooey! And this marshmallow is toasted perfectly - I'm totally craving S'mores now!

Inside, I used another sweet sentiment from the set and added a couple tiny punched hearts.

And here's a close up of the two digital stamp sets that I used to create this card:

Pretty Cute Stamps January Challenge - Love!

It's time again for our monthly challenge on the Pretty Cute Stamps blog! This month the theme is LOVE! There were so many options for this challenge it was hard to choose which stamp I wanted to use!

I decided to go with the Warm Fuzzies stamp set and use the No-Line colouring technique. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube about this, but basically you are stamping with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolour paper and then watercolouring your image in. Because the Antique Linen is so light it blends into the colouring, but still allows you to see the image lines as you watercolour. This sentiment, also in the set, was perfect for this challenge!

I used Distress Markers to watercolour this adorable bear image. They are one of my fav mediums to watercolour with! I scribbled on an acrylic block with the colour I wanted to use and then used a wet paintbrush to apply the colour to my paper.

Inside, I used the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from the Be Mine stamp set - a wonderful Valentine set!

Here's a look at the sets I used on my card:

Let's Fall In Love!

Well, it really is still technically summer, but we have evidence of the fall season all around us - school is back this week, the leaves are just hinting at turning golden yellow and there are so many cute fall stamps and papercrafting products that it's hard not to get just a wee bit excited!

When you see this adorable Harvest Happiness stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps you'll see what I mean! I just love it - it's not just the super sweet little boy scarecrow, but there's also a sweet little girl scarecrow in this set! And, of course all the fun fall accessories - a cornstalk, hay bale and sunflower to name a few along with all the awesome sentiments....

 Harvest Happiness
I love this sweet sentiment in the set that I stamped on the front of my card - and I felt like this scarecrow couple just needed to share their love! The zig zag stitching was done with the stamp from the Sew Amazing set - it made the perfect outline around the border of my background, and the heart comes from that set too. I used some Perfect Pearls mist to spritz a bit of shimmer onto my card after I had everything placed where I wanted.

I coloured the images in with Prismacolor Markers after stamping on white cardstock I used a black pen to add some vines to the pumpkins, added some glittery Stickles and used foam dots to pop up some elements on the card.

I used the pumpkins from the Little Pumpkins set - one of my Fall 'must have' sets!

Inside, I stamped another sentiment inside a pumpkin, added another heart button and one of these awesome cornstalk stamps.

Here's a look at the other two sets I used:

Little Pumpkins
Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out what I've been working on! I hope you have a lovely, happy, crafty week!!

Pretty Cute Stamps December 2014 Release Blog Hop!!

Thanks so much for joining us for the December 2014 Release Blog Hop, where we are all sharing projects featuring the new stamps this month that are now available in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store.

If you came from Janna's blog, you are in the right place. If you just stumbled across this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog

For my project for the hop, I've used the new, super adorable Eskimo Kisses stamp set.

For my card I've made a sweet winter/valentine/love card. I've used a collection of papers from my stash and used Prismacolor Markers (alcohol based) to colour in the images. These two little cuties look soooo happy! And, of course I love all the extra props and sentiments :) So many possibilities!

I used a clear Wink Of Stella pen to paint in the fluffy details - I just love the shimmer it gives!

I added some twine and Glossy Accents to create shine on my stamped hearts.

Inside, I added the igloo and my favourite sentiment!

I had to share one more quick thing I made with these stamps! My daughter, who is in Grade 2, is crazy about lunchbox notes. It's a surprise when she opens her lunch each day to see what I have put in there. I think her friends look forward to seeing it as much as she does! So, of course I had to use this set to whip up a few quick notes.
