I started off being inspired by the patterned paper die cut card in Summer Card Camp 2, Week 3, Day 2 and my card evolved from there, lol! I used a Spellbinder's die for the banner triangles and an old Spellbinder's Wizard die set for the flower pot/watering can, which I stencilled with Distress Ink through the die. I fussy cut the flowers on the banner and hand cut the white banner, which I stamped Dream on. I tied a couple bows and glued them to the card and used some foam dots to add dimension.
I really enjoyed working with the color combo this week of 2 purples, a teal blue and two browns. The last 3 weeks have gone by so quick and I had such an awesome time! I'm sure I got more cards done during this class than over the last 6 months!

Embossed Die Cuts
I absolutely loved the card that Jennifer featured on Week 3, Day 2 of Summer Card Camp 2. I started off by die cutting the leaf and butterflies with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. I used 3 coats of gold embossing powder on the leaf and I used shiny purples and blue inks directly on the butterflies and small circles (left over from previous die cuts) and then embossed them with Crystal Stampendous embossing powder for a sparkly look. I used an embossing folder for the right side of the card and used gold embossing powder for the sentiment. I really liked how this card turned out and thought I'd use it for a wedding card I would need soon!

Sweet Friend Polaroid
Oh, I love Polaroids - maybe its just remembering them from my childhood, but I love those frames :). They are so fun!
This card was inspired by Nichole Heady's card in Summer Card Camp 2 - Week 3, Day 1. I used this week's colour combo and Sketch #3 and I used her tone on tone technique, stamping a chevron stamp with a lighter purple pigment ink over darker purple cardstock. I layered this on a shiny blue background and then applied my Polaroid frame, which I simply cut with my paper trimmer - 3x4 for the outside and 3x3 for the inside, leaving 1/4 " around the top and sides of the frame. I heat embossed the Prima Paper doll stamp and coloured her in with Soufflé pens, and then I stamped my sentiment on in brown Distress Ink and layered some stamped flowers, hearts and buttons.
Well, I'm off to create a few more cards before baby wakes up!

Picture Perfect
Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday :) I wanted to share my Week 3, Day 1 card at Summer Card Camp 2, inspired by Kristina's one layer banner card.
I used a fun new stencil I picked up Monday, masked it off and used a sponge applicator with Distress Ink to apply the camera to my die cut background. I first used watercolour paper, which I applied Distress Inks to and misted, layering until I got a look I liked. I then used a Spellbinder's die to cut out my shape. For the one layer banner I drew a banner shape which would fit around my sentiment (from the stencil) and cut it out with a craft knife. I then applied my white Colorbox ink pad directly to my paper and when the ink was dry I sponged over the words. I used a stitching stamp from CTMH to create the thread lines running up the card, masking off my banner. I then used some foam dots to apply the die cut and used a white gel pen to create some stitching lines around the card.
I think I will do this again on a scrapbook page next!

Week 3 Journey!
I can't believe we are on the 3rd week of Summer Card Camp 2! There have been so many amazing cards that have been created.
I love this week's colour combo! 2 purples, 2 browns and a teal. I grabbed my Distress Inks and alcohol inks and got started!
I recently picked up some Specialty Stamping paper and wasn't sure if I was going to really use it a lot, but I love it :). It takes stamped images so nicely and works with Distress techniques as well as working lovely with alcohol inks. I first sponged Distress Inks in darker and lighter purples and Tumbled Glass blue and edged it with Corduroy Brown. I then used Jennifer McGuire's technique (kind of!) with stamping on a greyish cardstock with white Colorbox ink and then with the blue Distress Ink with a Technique Tuesday chevron stamp.
I cut the arrows from the Specialty Stamping paper with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and used a felt applicator to apply alcohol inks in purple, blue and a shiny brass colour. I stamped a design and a sentiment on the arrows and popped them up with foam dots after stamping a postal mark and Dream on my card. I added Glossy Accents to the postal mark to give it a little dimension.
It was good to step out of the box and try some colours I probably wouldn't have automatically pulled out..

Enjoy the Journey
I decided to go back to Week 1 of Summer Card Camp 2 to do a few more cards. There has been so much inspiration, and I have so many ideas in my head! I started off being inspired by the coloured sequin card from Week 1, Day 3. I used the Week 1 colour scheme and used Dylusions spray to mist a tag. I cut a cloud stencil from paper and pounced over it with Colorbox white ink (Week 2, Day 4 ) and then added 3 balloons (Week 2, Day 1) which I stamped on patterned paper and cut out. I embossed (Week 2, Day 2) the sentiment with white embossing powder and coloured 3 white brads with alcohol ink (again from Week 1, Day 3) and covered with Stickles.
Happy Monday!!

Paper Doll Colour Combo Card
I am loving working with the colour combinations given at the end of the week in the Online Card Class Summer Card Camp 2! And, I am also loving the new paper doll stamps by Prima I recently got :).
I used the fourth colour combo from Week 2, Day 5: grey, yellow, magenta, green and white to create this card.
I coloured part of my doll in with Tombow markers on watercolour paper and also paper pieced the skirt, head band and sweater. I popped the skirt up with foam dots. I cut out circles from patterned paper, stamped on them with Distress Inks and then heat embossed love, joy and hope and popped them up with foam dots too. I cut a couple banners from patterned paper and attached them near the bottom. I love the fun colours in this card and the tweed grey paper on the card base!
I hope everyone had a fun, creative weekend - and I look forward to another week of card making inspiration.
