KKS Release Recap! Holiday Gift Tags!

This weekend we are having a very special

RELEASE RECAP EVENT

and a blog hop that starts now!!!

In case you missed it, our most recent release featured
FOUR brand new stamp sets and TWO sets of stencils and we're going to celebrate them today!

I'm sharing a couple cute Christmas tags today using the new Holiday Postage stamps, which have now sold out, and the Holiday Ornaments layering stencils! I love making special tags to add to my gifts for the holiday season, and I really loved how the stencils layered up to create a pretty base on these manilla office tags.

I stenciled the green tag using Lovely Lagoon and Aqua Adventure inks. I love the tone on tone look this created. I coloured the images with Copic Markers and fussy cut the postage stamp images.

For the pink tag I used Flirty Flamingo and Festive Fuchsia inks. I tucked in ephemera and used paper, washi and stickers from the Simple Stories Snow Pine Lodge collection. Some sequins and Stickles finished these tags off!

Our incredible Krafty Design Team has all new projects
featuring the latest krafty goodies and you can find

So grab a beverage and sit back to enjoy all the inspiration!  The team will also be sharing them in the Krafty Friends Facebook Group and on other social media channels!

Welcome back!

Did you enjoy yesterday's Peeks?
Well, we are back with MORE Christmas fun!

Today we are spotlighting a new stamp set
from artist Michelle Houghton called HOLIDAY POSTAGE!!

Who's totally into the postage craze right now?
I'm in LOVE with Michelle's images and sentiments that fit inside the frames!

I stamped the images to fit in the postage stamps and coloured with Copic Markers. I love these adorable images that are so awesome on their own, but also fit perfectly into these stamps!

I created a background with the new Holiday Ornaments stencil and Krafty Kolours Inks in pinks and blues, coordinating the colours for both the background and the stamped images! I added the 1¢ and sentiment stamps using Festive Fuchsia and Tranquil Teal inks.

Here’s a closeup of my stencilled background. I used Ocean OpulenceTranquil Teal and Sparkling Sapphire blue inks on one layer, sprayed overtop with Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz. On the second layer I used Pretty In Pink, Raspberry Rose and Berry Bold sprayed overtop with Picked Raspberry Distress Spritz.

KKS September Mid Month Challenge #684! Back to School Card!

Good morning and welcome to the

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

September Monthly Challenge

Mid Month Inspiration!

Every month we post a brand new challenge with a choice of themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas!

This month our challenge themes for you are:

Back to School/Primary Colours and/or Circles!

You can choose one theme or combine them!
Enter as many times as you like all month long!
It's a Choose Your Own Krafty Adventure!

I'm using the sweet S'more Fun stamp set, which is a super cute camping set - but as you can see these kiddos with their snazzy back packs can also be used for back to school! I really wanted to create a back to school card, so I coloured these cuties up with Ranger Distress watercolour pencils on Strathmore Bristol Vellum cardstock.

I also wanted to use the circle theme and did a layered stenciling spotlight technique with the Lots of Dots and Classic Circles stencils and Lovely Lagoon Krafty Kolours Ink. I added a sentiment that would be great for back to school from the Air Mail stamp set and Sandy Shores Ink.

The monthly challenges are a great way to inspire you and help get your creative mojo going!  We've got some fabulous prompts for you and can't wait to see what YOU create!

You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

KKS Release Recap! Stenciled Backgrounds!

This weekend we are having a very special

RELEASE RECAP EVENT!!

In case you missed it, our most recent release featured
FOUR brand new stamp sets and TWO sets of layering stencils and we're going to celebrate them today!

For today's recap hop I'm sharing closeups of the backgrounds I created with the August Release stencils! Stencils are always so fun and can be used with so many different mediums.

For the first stenciled background I used the cute new Here For The Candy stencil and the following KKS Krafty Kolour Inks:
Festive Fuchsia, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Patch, Mellow Mustard, Summer Sunshine, Goblin Green, Charming Chartreuse, Tranquil Teal and Alluring Amethyst!
Find all the Krafty Kolour Inks in the shop HERE!

I used a sticky note to mask off any areas I didn't want to get ink on so that I could use so many different colours. Here's a look at the card I created with this background - KKS Day 3 - Sweet & Spooky!

I love the shading you get when you use stencils, and as you can see - just using ink is a very non-messy way to create with them too!

For the second background, I decided to get messy though! I wanted a mixed media galaxy  background so I pulled out all kinds of mediums. I created a fun galaxy background with the new Out Of This World stencil, using various sprays and pastes and then sponged over everything with Wicked Black Krafty Kolours ink to highlight the raised areas.

Here are the steps I used:
1) Spread Ranger Distress opaque texture paste through the stencil.
2) Sprinkle on Lindy's Gang powders, mist with water. Spray on Ranger Distress Mica Sprays. Dry.
3) Highlight raised areas with Wicked Black Krafty Kolours ink.
4) Use a sponge with add highlights of Ranger Gold Lunar Paste to create shine!

I love how many layers of colour and depth you get this way!

Here's a closeup. You can check out the card I created for the August Release here in the KKS August Release Hop & Shop.
