KKS Mid Month April Saturday Challenge #667 - Stitching, Stencils and/or Orange!

  Good morning and welcome to our  

Monthly Saturday Challenge Mid Inspiration Post

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

We are back today with an inspirational post showcasing more ideas to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing!

We can't wait to see what you create!

This month the challenge themes for you are: 

STITCHING, STENCILS AND/OR ORANGE!

You can choose any or all - whatever inspires you!

I'm going with all three prompts again this month! I coloured in the adorable penguin and cute accessories from the awesome Birthday Bash Stamp Set with Distress Watercolor Pencils. Since our colour prompt this month is orange, I inked a background that had crackle paste through the Geo 1 Stencil with Cool Canteloupe, which is our Ink Of The Month (see below) and on sale!!

I diecut a pretty circle frame with faux stitching dots, from a background I had inked with my gelliplate using Ruby Red and Flirty Flamingo reinkers. I popped up my sentiment and images. A few shimmery gems finish it off! 

Our Ink Of The Month, which will be on sale all month long, just happens to be a lovely shade of orange!! This month features the gorgeous Cool Canteloupe Ink Pad, Cube and Reinker! Grab it now to add to your collection.

Every month we post a brand new challenge with three themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

This month's challenge will remain open until May 5th.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

The monthly prize is a $25 voucher to the Krafty shop!!!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps April New Release Hop & Shop!

 Woohoo!!! 

Today we are celebrating all the new fabulous goodies in our April Release that are NOW available in the

 Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!

and we're excited to share it ALL with you in a fabulous krafty HOP!

If you remember the stencilled panel from Day ONE of the Krafty Peeks, I actually diecut the center of it out and use the 'frame' of the stencil panel on that card! The background is stencilled using the ON THE GO stencil using Blue Bay, Stormy Sky, Sandy Shores, Fresh Fields, Ruby Red, Granite Grey inks. I then added details with Zebra Sarasa Porous Pens. I thought this was the perfect way to create a card using the inside of that background! 

I white heat embossed a sentiment from the PERFECT ADVENTURES Stamp Set and layered it on my card. This would make a really great masculine card!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps April Krafty Peeks Day THREE! Dino-mite!

 Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the April Release 

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

We are so excited to share a fabulous prehistoric dinosaur set 

by artist Neda Sadreddin

 called...

DINO-MITE!

These awesome dinos are ready to party and send some sweet wishes out to their friends! 

I love Neda's style and these guys just make me smile!! I watercoloured a couple of the cute images with Zebra ClickArt Markers and found some fun paper to match!

I used the amazing Charming Chevron stencil to add texture paste on top of the patterned paper for extra interest. This is definitely going to be a go-to stencil for me!

I layered my sentiment, diecuts, images and gems on and even used some Nuvo drops and Crystal Glaze to add some fun details to the adorable images!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps April Krafty Peeks Day TWO! Majestic Mountains!

Welcome back to Day TWO of our April Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from 

artist Michelle Houghton

 and it's called.....

MAJESTIC MOUNTAINS!

This beautiful mountain background would be the perfect backdrop to create a scene for your images - or amazing alone with a sentiment!

I was totally getting the 'painting' vibe from this set - so I created my own little watercolour painting, watercolouring the beautiful image with Zebra ClickArt Markers!

I added some shimmery paint effects and white gel pen details in the sky to create a nighttime effect. I stamped a sentiment from the set and then framed my art with a frame diecut!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps April Krafty Peeks Day ONE! Perfect Adventures !

Who's ready for lots of brand new Krafty goodies?!

It's time for our April Release Peeks to begin 

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we’re featuring an adorable animal adventure set

designed by Sabrina van Vloten

 and it's called.....

PERFECT ADVENTURES!

Our animal friends are back again and ready to travel! You can find more of these fabulous friends by Sabrina HERE! 

I decided to create little postage stamps with these cuties and stamped four of them on watercolour panels before watercolouring with ClickArt Markers!

I stencilled a background using the On The Go stencil using Blue Bay, Stormy Sky, Sandy Shores, Fresh Fields, Ruby Red, Granite Grey inks and then actually diecut out the middle part to use on another card - so keep your eye out for that one later this week! 

I added pen details to the stencilled areas with Zebra Sarasa Porous Pens and coloured the background of each image panel using a shimmery watercolour.

I stamped the Let's Go sentiment from the set and added some white gel pen highlights to the images. I finished things off with some pretty gems and added Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April Skrappy Challenge!

Good morning krafty friends!

It's April, and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

I'm sharing a cute Memory Dex card that I made Live in the Krafty Klub Group last month. This group is for the friends who order Krafty Klub goodies and receive a fun surprise package in the mail before the new release is revealed each month! They get a bonus live class that they can watch anytime within that group, using the products they got! 

I stenciled the card, which fits on a Memory Dex holder, with the Number It Stencil using Krafty Kolour Reinkers and Inks. Then I coloured the adorable animals from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set using Zebra Pen ClickArt Markers. 

I added some stickers from Simple Stories Celebrate collection and we even made a cute paper clip embellishment together too!

I am sooo ready for spring, and this adorable flower and bees give me all the spring feels!! I started off with a green sprayed background I had left over from another project and used the Geo 1 Stencil with Lucky Limeade Ink to add even more interest. I watercoloured these sweet images with Zebra Clickart Markers, adding in a couple more bees and 'planting' my flower in a diecut flower pot edged with Rich Rust ink!

I used Salty Sea ink and the Chubby Clouds stencil behind the flower and then layered on some cute Doodlebug Design paper and stickers. I stamped the Bee Happy sentiment on the bottom. A few shiny sequins finish off the card!
