FCCB #250 - Celebrate Mom!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #250 - Celebrate Mom-create a card or project for Mom

There will be 3 winners of $7 gift certificates!

Create a project inspired by Mother's Day

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For my project this week I made two scrapbook layouts with pictures from Mother's Day 2013. My sweet daughter was in Kindergarten and her teacher held a Mother's Day Tea! It was a very special event!!

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for all the scroll cuts, which I embossed with my Cuttlebug and then added some sponged Distress Ink to. I added some Pewter Distress Stain to my page by unscrewing the cap and flicking it onto my pages.

These beautiful flowers are cut with the DigiPlayground 3D Flower SVG file. I separated the layers and made extra flowers.

For some of the flowers I stamped a script stamp with Versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder before layering them.

The Hello tag is from DigiPlayground, and I used Design Space to change the Hello word cut to a 'write' option, using the Amy Tangerine markers from American Crafts.  They work in the Explore beautifully and are permanent, so I was able to use Distress Inks on a craft sheet to watercolour my background. I then used a white gel pen to colour in the hello part. The Mom cut was done the same way with a diecut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

For my second page I used the April sketch from Scrapping Everyday Miracles. I love this sweet Gorjuss Girls paper! (I used a coordinating sheet for my first layout, and more coordinating paper for the other background papers on this layout).

I love all the different options you have with this flower cut! You could layer them all together or make as many different ones as you wanted!

The What A Day cut is a 3x4 Life Card SVG file from DigiPlayground! I just love the script in this, and you get two more cards in this set!

Thanks so much for joining me today!! I hope you'll check out the FCCB blog and see what the other DT members have come up with this week - and be sure to link up your project for a chance to win!

Challenge #246 - St.Patrick's Day and/or Something Green

There will be 3 winners of $7 gift certificates!

Create a project inspired by St. Patrick's Day or make something Green!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

For my project today I made a tag and a card using the Cricut and SVG cuts from Digiplayground.

I cut the tag base from Ashlyn's alphabet and the shadow girl from the Forever Young cartridge using my Cricut Explore. The font and all the shamrocks are from the Digiplayground St. Patrick's Cutables, Set of 6 SVG set. I removed the flower that was on the girl's dress and replaced it with a shamrock - I think she looks ready to celebrate ;) I love this seam binding ribbon! I used the new Pistachio green stain from Tim Holtz along with Peeled Paint stain and misted with water before scrunching it up to dry.

I was having so much fun with the St. Paddy's day cuts from Digiplayground that I had to finish with a card! I used the Cricut to cut the bracket card base from the Phrases cartridge, and I placed the SVG St. Patrick's Day cuts on the front.

Love this pretty Scroll script!

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from CTMH and layered it on some green paper before attaching it to the card base.
