The ScrapbookerPhD blog has decided to shut down their challenge blog due to unforeseen circumstances.
It's time for another challenge over at the ScrapbookerPhD blog and the theme this month is Red, White and Blue!
and our sponsor this month is
For my project this month I've used the PPPR Side Step Card cutting file from our sponsor, which I cut with my Cricut Explore, and stamps from the Pen Pal stamp set from the sister company, Pretty Cute Stamps.
Since I'm in Canada we have Canada Day on July 1st and the colours for that are red and white. So, for the 'red, white and blue' theme I thought I'd do a 'letter' themed project in these colours. I started by cutting the step card out with the Cricut Explore. Then I edged my inside white rectangles with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and started layering on my stamped, coloured images.
On the steps I used more of the envelopes and added some more stamps from the set.
I wanted to include an area that I could write a letter to the recipient, so I cut a piece of patterned paper and made a pocket in the top step to tuck it into.
Inside the 'Letter' I stamped Pen Pal and this is where I will write my note!
I hope you've enjoyed this red, white and blue letter themed card today! Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team for ScrapbookerPhD has come up with - and enter your own for a chance to win an awesome prize from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons! I hope all my US friends have a wonderful July 4th!
