A Couple More Valentines Day Cards!

Hi! I hope you had a lovely weekend! We pretty much stayed in... I think I'm ready for winter to be over! But I did do some crafting and played games with the girls, and we had a lovely relaxing couple days. I wanted to share a couple more Valentines with you, and this cute alien stamp has been in my stash for a while just waiting to come out again! It's a Simon Says Stamp set from a few years ago when I was getting their card kits.

I stamped this cute guy on Bristol cardstock and coloured him with Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers before cutting him out with a Your Next Stamp tag die. The cute eyes look googly after I added Glossy Accents.

I used a Waffle Flower Patched Layers die to create a fun blanket stitch look around the Recollections Valentines paper from Michaels and then added the Your Next Stamp cloud dies that I stamped with the sentiment that came with the alien stamp set.

I added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins inside and out for a bit of bling and stamped this coordinating sentiment! (Be sure to use the code KARLA15 to save 15% off your purchases at the SMS Shop!)

And, here's a look at the cute Valentines card I shared last week on the SpiegelMom Scraps Instagram feed using SMS Sequins, a FREE cutfile and an adorable digi image from Gerda Steiner Designs. You can find all the details as well as a look at the inside and a closeup HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day this week 💘

I heart U

This year I made the most valentines I've ever made! I used the Simon Says Stamp January kit for a lot of them - it was such a great bunch of supplies all in one box :).

I pulled inspiration for this card from Sarah Moerman's blog, My Impressions.

I used the Fancy Pants 6x6 papers on the front and layered them on some Kraft cardstock and rounded the corners.

I heat embossed the stitching and I <3 U sentiment and layered the Fancy Pants valentine tickets inside the vellum envelope.

Inside I layered some more strips of papers and another ticket.

December 2013 Sketchy Challenge

Wow, how did December fly by so quick?!!! In November I felt like I had everything under control and now I feel like I'm scrambling.  But, of course, I have a list (a long list) so I feel like I'm progressing :).

I just had to make a layout for the December Sketchy Challenge at Canadian Scrapbooker, and I pulled out some pics I just took after an early November snow this year when the girls headed outside to play.

Erica is so excited to get outside and experience snow, since, of course, she doesn't remember last winter! It is very exciting to say the least.

The background paper is from the Heidi Swapp Believe collection, and the smaller patterned papers are from the Simon Says Stamp December card kit. I also used the stencil from this kit and sponged snowflakes with Distress Ink, as well as the really cute mitten stamps from the kit.

I stamped the mittens on striped paper, then the little heart stamps in the set on the mittens and used a white gel pen to highlight the zigzags.

I used some snowflake die cuts from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, which I sponged with Distress Ink and added Stickles to.  The letters are by Kelly Purkey, included in the SSS December kit.

The little tags are cut out of the Heidi Swapp paper.

Just love this little snowflake stencil, which came in the SSS Dec kit!

I think the snow is here to stay so I can foresee lots of snow pages this year!
