Pretty Cute Stamps May 2016 Sneak Peeks!

Hi Friends! If you haven't heard the BIG news.... Pretty Cute Stamps is now making Digi Stamps!! and they are awesome!! I'm so excited to show you two sneak peek cards for the May 2016 Release using digi stamps from all three of the adorbs Beaver stamp sets. You're going to love them :)

For my first card I used the Beavers stamp set and coloured these cute little guys using Prismacolor and Hobby Color Markers, which are alcohol based. I layered them on a background of torn papers applied using the Tim Holtz Vintage Collage Medium to give them a vintage, tea stained look.

I fussy cut the hearts, included in the set, after colouring them and then popped them up using foam dots. I coated them with Glossy Accents and shook on a little glitter for shine. I used my Distress Inks to colour my sentiments after cutting them out of the white cardstock I had printed them on. A few colourful buttons finished the card off.

Inside, a very cute sentiment using the Beavers In Love set!

And, since these little guys are just so sweet, I couldn't stop at one card! For my second card I used the Birthday Beavers stamp set. I love that I can so easily resize these stamps- I made a momma and baby beaver just by enlarging one. Think how cute a whole family of beavers would be!

I used some Recollections resist paper and Distress Inks to create a background. Some Stickles and a shimmery gel pen added birthday sparkles to these little guys.

I found this cute diecut envelope in the Bits and Pieces Cricut cartridge and used my Explore to cut it out. I layered the Happy Birthday digi sentiment over some washi tape and placed it so that it could be seen after sliding the card into the envelope. This shiny yellow button and twine was in my embellishment kit from 28 Lilac Lane and I scattered on some tiny red punched out hearts.

I used Spellbinders dies to cut out the adorable sentiments included in the set and sponged on some Distress Inks.

Here are some tips to try when creating with digi stamps:
1) Open your stamps into a word processing program to size them, and then you can save that file to quickly reprint anytime.
2) Print your stamp on a lightweight white cardstock.
3) Use less ink when printing by using a Fast Draft setting.
4) Heat set your image with a heat gun
5) Colour with alcohol based markers or coloured pencils.
