Happy Monday and welcome to another Fantabulous Cricut Monday challenge!

Challenge #277-It's all about Pets
Make a project about any animal that is a pet.

Dreaming Tree SVG's

There will be three $20 Gift Certificates!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For my project this week I used the Nate's ABC's (the puppy) and the CTMH Artistry (the heart paw print) Cricut cartridges to make this cute little doggy birthday card. I used various scraps of cardstock and patterned paper for each cut. I love using scraps from my 6x6 paper pads with my Cricut!

I'm also posting over at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog and thought this was the perfect opportunity to use the Fur Baby stamp set! I heat embossed a cute sentiment on the little wagon and added a sweet little paw print stamp with Distress Ink.

I used a bit of red Distress Ink to sponge around the edge of my heart paw print and added a background of ombre paper underneath before popping it up with foam dots.

Inside, I added two more sentiments and a couple more paw prints from the Pretty Cute Stamps Fur Baby set. This set has so many amazing sentiments, for so many occasions, whether you're a cat or dog person! I used the negative cuts from the heart paw print inside as well.

Here's a look at this adorable stamp set!

FCCB Christmas Bingo Blog Hop!

Welcome to the FCCB Christmas Bingo Blog Hop! If you came from Michelle's blog you are in the right spot - if you want to start at the beginning visit the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog! Here is your Bingo card-

You can choose to do a line up, down, across or diagonal, completing each square in your line. Example: Christmas Cricut Cut, Hand Colored Christmas Image, Christmas Glitter. You have so many choices!

The FCCB Christmas Bingo hop is sponsored by:

A $10 Credit Voucher will go to the lucky winner!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For this blog hop, you can submit up to three projects. Each project is one entry into the drawing for the prize shown above. You can link up at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog.

For my project I've used the bottom line across of the bingo card - Christmas Glitter, Flowers and Embellishments. I chose the pillow box cut from the CTMH Art Philsophy Cricut cartridge and the poinsettia cut from the Christmas Cricut cartridge. After I cut and assembled my box I sponged some Distress Ink around the edges and then tied on some silver wire edged ribbon before gluing the poinsettia cut on top.

I added some Christmas stickers and attached a holly brad to my tag and then used red and white bakers twine to tie on my tag. Of course I had to use Stickles to add glitter to my tag and the centers of my flower cuts!

This turned out to be the perfect gift holder for some coffee gift cards as a teacher gift this year. I love dressing presents up - the plainest of gifts can look so awesome with a little extra effort!

Be sure to visit each Design Team member and leave a comment - those will be put into a drawing for the following:

FCCB #261 - Shape Up!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #261-Shape Up
Make a Shaped Card (anything but a square or rectangle)

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

And, if you submit a project in our challenge that isn't a card, you will get two entries for a chance to win the prize instead of one!

For my project I've used the Pumpkin Card from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge, a Basket from the Art Philosophy cartridge and leaves from the Creative Bug cartridge, all cut with the Cricut Explore. I also added the scroll cuts and sentiments from the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons Fall Phrases SVG files.

I stamped and heat embossed with a scroll stamp using gold embossing powder on the base layer of the card. Then, I ran the top layer through an embossing folder in my Cuttlebug and gently sanded it to highlight the embossing detail.

I changed the scoring feature to 'Write' on the leaves and used an American Crafts white chalkboard pen to draw in the veins on the leaves. I added my PPPR sentiment inside the card and some scrolls and leaves to my card and box. I thought this box would be nice as a Thanksgiving table decoration!

On the opposite side of the box I added another sentiment and leaf.

Here's a look at what's included in the PPPR Fall Phrases Cutting Files:

Don't forget to pop over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what all the other Design Team members have come up with for this fun challenge! FCCB 252 - Sketch Challenge!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #252-Follow the Sketch

This Weeks Sponsor

Bugaboo Stamps

The prize is 7 digital stamps!

Create a project inspired by the sketch below-

For inspiration see:  http://retrosketches.blogspot.ca/2012/07/retrosketches-22.html

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

I used the Bugaboo Stamps digi image 'Friends Don't Let Friends Wine Alone' for my card along with the France cartridge (wine bottle), Art Philosophy cartridge (scalloped square) and the Photo Booth Props cart (Cheers bubble). I used some Distress Inks around the edges of my cuts and stamped a script stamp on the wine bottle label cut - I love the look of this! Lastly, a few sequins add to the party feel of my card!

To colour in my image I used Prismacolor Markers and added some gel pens to for some shimmer and shine. I used some older CTMH stamps to stamp a sentiment in grey ink on the bottom right of my card.

Inside, I used the digital sentiment included with the stamp, layered on another scalloped shape that I altered in Design Space. A few more sequins finishes it off!

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you will check out the FCCB blog today to see what the new members of our DT came up with and enter your own!!

FCCB 230 - Shape Up!

Hello, Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday

Challenge #230 Shape Up
Make a shaped card (any shape but rectangle or square)

This Weeks Sponsor

SVG Attic

$15.00 Giftcard

~Design Team Inspiration~

This week's Challenge:
Shape Up: Make a shaped card

I recently got the Wild Card 2 Cricut cartridge and just had to make one of the cute cards! This will definitely be a cartridge I turn to for a quick card - everything fits together so nicely and there are so many cute images! It's hard to tell from the photo, but I also added sparkle with a Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen.

I drew stripes on the candle with some sparkly gel pens and placed it on top of my Jillibean Soup paper frosting.  I played on the rickrack paper theme by drawing stitching marks around my diecut pieces.

Inside:

I used two sentiments from the adorable Wish Big stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps.

My daughter has a friend's birthday party to attend on the weekend, and I know he will love this card! I hope you all have a wonderful week. Be sure to head over to the FCCB to check out all the wonderful projects the Design Team have put together - and enter your own for a chance to win!

FCCB 228- Tag You're It!

Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday...

Challenge #228 Tag You're It

This Weeks Sponsor

Crafter's Companion Prize Package which includes
4 sets of alcohol markers that have 6 markers in each set, a 20 pack of alcohol marker paper, some marker trays and one of the Spectrum Noir DVD's

~This Weeks Challenge~
Tag You're It!
Create a project that uses a tag

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

For my project this week I started by creating a background on a plain off white piece of cardstock cut into a tag shape. My diecuts are from the Straight From The Nest Cricut cartridge. The feather is cut from watercolour paper and the bird from vanilla cardstock.

Since I simply love all things Distress I started my background by stencilling Mustard  Seed Distress Paint on the Tim Holtz Sunray stencil. Then I sponged Distress Ink over top.  This is one of my favourite techniques! I love the way the paint acts as a resist and really pops!

I then stencilled with Distress Inks over the heart Tim Holtz stencil and a Heidi Swapp stencil and added a stitching stamp before attaching my feather.

I added a couple stamps with black ink.

To colour my bird and feather I used another fav technique and smooshed Distress Inks on my craft sheet, spritzed them with water and pulled my diecuts through the inks.

I used some Festival Hemp cord at the top of my tag - I love the bright look of this tag! We had snow this past week here, so this was the perfect thing to brighten up my craft room :)

I hope you all enjoy a fabulous week! Be sure to check out all the fun tags the rest of the Design Team has put together for this challenge at FCCB and enter your own for a chance to win an awesome prize!
