Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge #600 - Easel Cards!

  Good morning and welcome to another

fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps !

Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?

We've got some fabulous ideas for you 

and can't wait to see what you create!

This week, Krafty Girl Tamara is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is: 

MAKE AN EASEL CARD!

This is such a great challenge! Easel cards are super easy to make, but look like you've had to figure out all kinds of details! Basically, you fold an A2 card base that is top folding - so cut your paper to 4 1/4" x 11" and fold at 5 1/2". Now you have a top folding cardbase. Next - Score the top of the cardbase at 2 3/4" so it essentially can bend in half. Now, you can add a focal layer with your stamped sentiment, scene, etc, and only glue the bottom part of that element (I'm using a scalloped rectangle for my card) to the bottom fold of the card base. When you add a popped up sentiment inside, your card becomes an easel and will rest against the sentiment. It will simply fold flat to mail however! You can embellish as desired!! 

I decided to use the New Long Landscapes stamp with the beautiful sailboat scene to be the focal image on this card! I stamped it in Totally Taupe for a no-line effect and coloured it in with Zebra Mildliners on watercolour paper. They are actually waterbased and you can watercolour with them!  I also stamped a couple clouds from the Valiant Viking set with Bubbly Blue Ink. I used the New Diagon-illy Stencil with the beautiful New Incredible Indigo Ink to create a fun stripy background! I used a sentiment on the front of the card from Life Is The Bubbles and some Krafty Dots, and then I added one of the Long Landscapes sentiments popped up inside the card. 

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September New Release Hop & Shop!

 Woohoo!!!

Today we are celebrating all the new fabulous goodies in our September Release that are NOW available in the

 Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!

All five of our new stamp sets, plus two new stencils and a new hybrid ink colour were released yesterday along with our exclusive ADD ON BUNDLE, 

and we're excited to share it ALL with you in a fabulous krafty HOP!

I couldn't resist creating a slimline card with this little mouse family from MICE CHRISTMAS! I love how the baby mouse is just the perfect height to add the star to the top of the fabulous Christmas tree! 

I coloured in these adorable critters and used some white gel pen for highlights. I love the new INCREDIBLE INDIGO Ink- it is such a beautiful blue! I used it to stamp the awesome sentiment included in the set on a little speech bubble diecut. You can see some fun splatters and sequins sprinkled around the background as well as the sparkly Waterfall Stickles from the ADD ON BUNDLE!

I used the awesome CHRISTMAS CANDY Stencil to create some perfect peppermints! If you saw yesterday's blog post you'll know I've been having sooo much fun with this stencil! I found a 1/2" circle punch fits the candy perfectly - I first stencilled with Ruby Red and Fresh Fields, then I add some Granite Grey to add a shadow around the edge. I added some gel pen highlights and then added Tonic Crystal Glaze and sprinkled some glitter over them! I think they look good enough to eat.. at least for these sweet mice!

Sabrina's sweet mice friends are back to help celebrate the holidays! You might remember them from the adorable Too Cute To Spook and You're A Squeak-heart sets! I can't wait to mix and match these cuties! 

I am working away on my December 2020 album, because... you know! I pulled this sweet cut apart journaling card from the Photoplay paper pad in the ADD-ON BUNDLE and thought it was perfect to use in my pocket page to document our gingerbread house making adventure. 

I had so much fun colouring up these adorable mice from MICE CHRISTMAS! Of course I had to use the ones holding the candy canes! I coloured them with Copics and added some white gel pen highlights. 

I found some fun sequin mixes in my stash to add to the page and also used the pretty Waterfall Stickles from the ADD-ON BUNDLE. 

The CHRISTMAS CANDY STENCIL is so fabulous and I decided to make my own embellishments by using Krafty Kolours Inks and then adding gel pen details. A 1/2" punch was the perfect size for those little peppermints!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September Krafty Peeks... Day THREE! Wooly Wonderland!

 Today is our third day of Krafty Peeks for the September Release

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we are 'peeking' a fabulous set 

from artist Michelle Houghton

 and it's called.....

WOOLY WONDERLAND!

Ewe'll have the coolest cards around with this fantastic mix and match set of wooly critters!

Ok, these guys are hilarious! I love their cute little faces and sweet accessories! There are so many ways to use these guys... I decided on colouring this fluffy scarf wearing fellow with Copics and if you'll look behind him you'll see a set we Peeked yesterday - LONG LANDSCAPES, which I turned into a snowy, winter scene! 

I used the pretty Photoplay paper from the ADD-ON BUNDLE behind my scene and grabbed a puffy snow marker for snowy accents. I love the punny sentiment that I stamped with the New INCREDIBLE INDIGO Ink! I added in some Krafty dots and white gel pen highlights and I couldn't resist adding an action wobbler behind this guy's head!

I added on one of the little charms- adorable - from the ADD-ON BUNDLE as well as a tiny bell. The New CHRISTMAS CANDY Stencil was perfect to create some peppermint embellishments, frosted with shimmery Lustre Polish and Tonic Crystal Glaze. A 1/2" size circle punch was just the right size!

Wild Whisper Cup Of Happiness Card!

Hello friends! I'm over on the Wild Whisper Blog today sharing a MemoryDex card! It was inspired by the SCT MemoryDex 101 Class from Scrapbook & Cards Today. Week 4 is all about using stamping on your cards and I love all the ways to use the beautiful new Nicole Wright Designs Script & Ledger Stamps. I also really love a good cup of tea, so what better way to join in the challenge than making it about tea and stamping! I may have also stocked up on the new Fall and Halloween teas at David's Tea! 

I added in some Ledger & Script paper as well as some ephemera and journaling cards and even a bit of Tim Holtz goodness!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September Krafty Peeks... Day TWO! Long Landscapes!

 Welcome back to Day TWO of our September Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from 

artist Allison Cope

 and it's called.....

LONG LANDSCAPES!

This amazing set features four fantastic scenic backdrops that you can use on their own or paired with so many other stamped images! 

I decided to do a little watercolouring today and stamped the barn image on a piece of watercolour paper diecut into a banner. I created a fall scene by using fall colours on the leaves behind the barn and adding two of the little pumpkins from last month's Hay You stamp set. 

I painted in some clouds by using the watercolours and following the lines of the fluffy clouds on the Krafty Scenery Stencil - a must have! I layered my painting over some pretty patterned paper and a piece of cardstock edged with the beautiful New INCREDIBLE INDIGO Ink to match the colour the sentiment is stamped in! I finished off by embellishing with a few stickers, some Krafty Dots and the lovely Waterfall Stickles included in the ADD-ON BUNDLE!
