Pocket Letter using Scrapbook Supplies!

Hi crafty friends!! We are starting to have some lovely weather here in Calgary, Alberta, and since you never know when that will change we've been trying to enjoy as much as we can of it. When I do get a minute to be crafty, one of the things I do love to do is create something out of my scrapbook supplies even if I'm not scrapbooking!

Today, I'm sharing an eye spy pocket letter with you that I made for a swap in one of the Facebook groups I'm in. For the background papers for my pocket cards I used the 6x6 BoBunny paper pads from the Believe and Butterfly Kisses collections. I just love the papers in both of these collections! The Believe papers especially have a mixed media layered look to them that is so pretty.

I included at least one of each eye spy item on my page:
- Owl, Heart, Key, Cupcake, Mason Jar, Butterfly, Clock, Crown and Coffee Cup

I pulled out lots of stamps, including stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps, Tim Holtz, Imaginesce and Graphic 45 and whatever else I felt would work with this pretty letter.

I added some Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers and used some Stickles and Glossy Accents along with a doily that I cut up and some washi tape for closing up the pockets with beads and sequins on the back.

On the back, I added some goodies for my partner and a note from me.

I love that these pocket letters can fold into thirds and fit into an A10 envelope! I decorated my envelope with some Tim Holtz stencils and coordinating stamps and some Distress Inks.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I'd love to hear what you've made lately with your papercrafting supplies!

Orange Soda Pop Card!

I'm posting over at the Scrapendipity Way Of Life blog today and wanted to share this quick soda pop card with you all!

I recently found some fun background paper from Craftsmith at Michaels, which made me think of orange pop. Perfect for this soda pop Tim Holtz image that I layered on more paper from the same collection. I added some sequins for shine and a piece of washi tape. Rounding two corners finishes off this summery card.

I used some Prismacolor Markers to colour in my image and added a light blue outline around the pop bottle for a bit of shadow.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you have a lovely, crafty week!

Farmer's Market Scrapbook Layout!

I'm posting today over at the Scrapendipity Way Of Life Blog and wanted to share this fall page using the September kit from the Scrapendipity Truck. I just love these BoBunny papers and had to find some fall pics to scrap right away!

When the leaves start turning here in Alberta, you have to get out quick to get a few photos. They might only last on the trees a couple weeks until we get a few windy days - and then they're gone! I don't seem to have an abundance of fall photos, so I have to get the ones I do have scrapped. We have a nice farmers market close to us that we like to go to and happened to go at a time when the trees in the background were just changing colour.

This leafy BoBunny background paper is one of my favourites - I think I'm going to have to pick up more of this! I layered my pics on and then used the cut-apart sheets to layer on my page as a title and journaling card. I stamped the Tim Holtz leaf blueprint stamps onto some watercolour paper and let my girls watercolour the images with Distress Markers. I spritzed the leaves with Perfect Pearls mist to add some pretty shimmer!

I used some white Ranger texture paste and a Heidi Swapp stencil on the top right and lower left areas of my page. After it dried I popped my leaves up with foam dots to give them dimension. I wanted to give the clear gems some colour before I added them to the right side of the border strips, so I coloured them with an orange Prismacolor alcohol marker - perfect!

There are lots of lovely paper diecuts that come in the coordinating BoBunny ephemera pack - I used the 'remember this' diecut layered on one of the cut-aparts. I love how the texture paste is thin enough to show the details of the paper through it!

Thanks so much for joining me today! Fall is my favourite season - putting on a cozy sweater, baking pumpkin muffins, and not feeling guilty for staying inside to scrapbook ;)! Here's wishing you have a lovely week full of what makes you happy!

Watercolour Treats Blueprints Card Set!

I'm back today with a post for the Scrapendipity blog featuring the Tim Holtz Treats Blueprint stamps! I'm totally in love with these stamps! I used Distress and Tombow Markers to colour my images after I stamped on watercolour paper. To achieve the watercolour look I used a waterbrush to lightly go over the areas I coloured in. Since there are four of these stamps in a set I decided to coordinate them into a set of matching cards. I love how summery and fun they turned out!

Here's a close up look at each one. I added some baker's twine, sequins, glossy accents and Stickles for some extra fun!

Thanks so much for joining me today! Don't forget to check out the Scrapendipity Store for lots of great Canadian scrapbook shopping!I hope you are enjoying some summery weather wherever you live, and maybe even a yummy treat or two!

Her blog is Scrapendipity Way Of Life  and you can also follow her on Facebook at the Scrapendipity page to find out all the new and exciting things that are going on!! You can find me posting here and there every Tuesday!

This week I wanted to share a card set I made featuring the Tim Holtz coffee blueprint stamps. I coloured them with Prismacolor Markers, which are alcohcol based, and gel pens. After colouring my images I cut them out with Spellbinders Nestabililities dies and my Cuttlebug and then layered them on some papers from the Echo Park Made From Scratch Collection and some Gorjuss Girl paper.

I wanted to make a coordinated set of greeting cards that my daughter could give as part of a teacher gift at the end of the school year. Holy cow, that's coming up soon!

Inside and Envelope -
I stamped a Tim Holtz sentiment stamp inside using Faded Jeans Distress Ink and then used a CTMH coffee stain stamp to add details. The sentiment on the envelope is from the same CTMH set. I still wanted to keep the inside and envelope fairly clean and simple, but wanted to tie it together with the 'coffee' theme. And, of course, I had to add a little Distress Ink ;)

Thank you so much for joining me and sharing this exciting news!!
