Kitty Bee Designs - Panda Friend Card!

Howdy! I hope you are all having a fantastic week! I'm over on the Kitty Bee Designs Blog today sharing a sweet friend card using the adorable Kitty Bee Designs Writing With Love Panda digital stamp. He's just so cute and quick and easy to colour! I used Prismacolour and Hobby Colour Markers, both alcohol based and then added some clear glitter pen to the heart and top of the pen for a bit of shimmer. Then I used a Your Next Stamp scalloped stitched rectangle die to cut him out.

I used Pebbles My Bright Life papers, including the globe sentiment that I fussy cut, and a puffy Amy Tangerine heart sticker from the August Scrapbook & Cards Today Sampler Pack to decorate the card along with SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins for Bling! (use code KARLA15 to save 15% at the SMS Shop!) This little guy will surely make someone's day super sweet!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Kitty Bee Designs shop to see all the adorable images and choose one that you can't wait to start creating with!

Pretty Cute Stamps September Challenge - Polka Dots!

There's a fun new challenge happening right now at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog - Polka Dots! I just love polka dots; they're just so FUN!

I used the stamp set Bushels Of Fun to create this pretty mixed media Fall card! Apples totally remind me of Fall, and I just love this set!

When I was doing Creative Chemistry 103 over the summer I created the panel for this card using a Distress MicroGlaze technique where I stamped my image on watercolour paper, coloured with Distress Markers and then applied the Distress MicroGlaze on top and around my image, creating a cool resist. Then, I spritzed Dylusions Sprays on my craft mat and applied my panel on top. This creates such a cool watercoloured background, but protects the original stamped image!

I stamped this sweet half apple on watercolour paper and coloured it in with Distress Markers before fussy cutting and placing it over my stamped sentiment and polka dot ribbon. The heart is also from the stamp set!

I used a polka dot stencil and transparent glaze to stencil circles on top of my panel. I added clear glitter on top before the glaze dried, creating some subtle, but sparkly dots! A few shiny sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps finish off my polka dot theme!

Inside, I used another watercoloured apple and added a cute little face. I added a polka dot border of the same paper I used on the front card base. I'm not sure exactly what occasion I'll use this card for yet, but it could certainly work for Thanksgiving, friend, birthday, and more!

Here's the adorable stamp set I used for my project -

Thanks so much for joining us for the March 2016 New Release Blog Hop, where we are all sharing projects featuring the new stamps this month that are now available in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store.

If you came from Amber's blog - Sew-Ink, you are in the right place. If you just stumbled across this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog

For my project for the hop, I've used the Grow stamp set to create a pretty Springtime card! I did a bit of colouring and paper piecing with the images and used some fun papers from My Mind's Eye Jubilee collection. I love the bright florals - perfect for this set! I used some Glossy Accents to give the water droplets a wet look.

I coloured my stamped images with alcohol based markers and stamped this sweet sentiment on the front of the card.

Inside, I stamped another awesome sentiment included in the set and some seed packets with some sweet flowers inside. I love, love, love that you can mix and match the flowers and veggies inside the seed packets! I'm also really loving this cute 3 heart stamp! A bit of white gel pen highlights my stamping.

I popped up my watering can and flowers after layering, and now my card is ready to mail off to a friend!

Here's a close up of the stamp set I used:

Friends Forever

I just love the pics I take of my girls having fun together! Amie loves helping her little sis, Erica, and I know they are going to be forever friends as well as sisters.

The main theme this month at Scrapping Everyday Miracles is Friends Forever and they have an awesome layout sketch as well! This layout fits into both those categories.

I used some patterned paper by Recollections from Michaels and stickers from a CTMH pack.  The stamps are also from CTMH, and I added some paper flowers with sparkly brads in the centre.

I sponged some Distress Ink on the punched border edge of my paper strips and added some Stickled dots.

Of course I had to add some Stickles to the butterfly and flowers for some sparkle as well as a few gems!

Hope you are having a crafty weekend!

Karla :)
