Sugar Coated Gingerbread House Pocket Page!

Hello! Well, I hope you've all had a fantastic week. The girls wore shorts to school this week, which was apparently a very exciting way to wake up - finding out that you could put on shorts, lol, and we all enjoyed some happy spring sunshine. We also went to a school family dance last night, which was a lot of fun! So, today, I'm over on the Wild Whisper Designs Blog sharing a pocket page layout using the new Wild Whisper Designs Talk Foodie To Me collection. It is such a bright and fun collection full of lots of designs perfect to document any food related pics. Here, I'm actually using Christmas photos from our gingerbread house, and I love how the sweet candy themed products in the collection create a yummy layout!

Hello Fall Pocket Pages!

Hi friends! I'm back to share a Fall layout today! Since in Canada we have Thanksgiving in October - it seems like once Halloween is over my mind is on Christmas. I am trying to really focus on enjoying the right now since soon enough there will be snow on the ground and chilly weather! I created a two page pocket page layout using some Fall themed Project Life journaling cards, some Pretty Cute Stamps (on sale until Nov 10/16!!), along with other stamps, stickers and sequins from my stash. I love using pocket pages when I have lots of photos to scrap. I get to add all my pics along with pretty papers, stamps and stickers!

Here's my first page:

It was such an amazing day for us to visit one of our favourite parks!

I used the Harvest Happiness clear stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps to add sentiments along with the leaves and sunflower. right on my journaling cards.

Here's a look at my second page:

This pumpkin sticker is printed on canvas and gives such a cool texture to the page! I added some of the pretty woodgrain washi tape and a sequin from the 28 Lilac Lane collection.

My girls love looking through the Project Life album - and it makes me so happy to see them talking about these memories!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're able to enjoy some lovely Fall weather wherever you are, and have a wonderful, crafty week!

Pretty Cute Stamps June Challenge - Summertime!

It's almost officially summer and time for our challenge at Pretty Cute Stamps this month - Summertime! With all the amazing digital releases last month and this month, along with a super assortment of stamps from the Pretty Cute Stamps store, there are so many options to create a project with a summertime theme this month for your chance to win an awesome PCS gift certificate!!

For this month's challenge I chose to make a pocket page using photos from a camping trip our family went on last summer. I added sentiments included in the digital stamp sets released in May by using PicMonkey (details of how I did this are at the bottom of the post!) and the Happy Camper Sentiments  and inTENTS digital stamp sets.

I also printed out on white cardstock, and coloured with alcohol markers, the lantern (Shine Bright), camper (Happy Camper), arrows and sign (Wooden Sign) and added them to my page.

I love that you can easily size the digital stamps to fit the project you're working on!

I used some Simple Stories papers and journaling cards in my pockets.

I love this cute little camper!! and how sweet is this sentiment in this pretty font?!!

Here are the steps I used to add these sentiments to my photos:
1) Open photo from your computer in PicMonkey (a free software that opens in your browser - no downloading required) by clicking "edit" and then choosing the photo.
2) On the left of the screen you have editing choices - click on the butterfly, which is "overlays" and click "choose your own" at the top of the editor.
3) Choose the PNG version of the sentiment you want to add, click "open" and then it will automatically pop open on top of your photo. You can resize the sentiment at this point to fit, and you can even change the colour!
4) Click "save", then "save to computer" and change the file name so that the original file is not overwritten, eg: camping1.
5) Send to your photo developer or print at home.

Here's a look at the digital stamp sets I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you'll join us for this challenge - we'd love to see what you're working on and how you use the PCS Stamps!

Bimini Moose Feature - Snow Much Fun Pocket Page Scrapbooking!

Well, I'm not sure if I should say it, but it really feels like spring is here! The local groundhog predicted it would be an early spring, and it seems as though he might be right! Oh, I realize that living in Alberta we are subject to a blizzard or hail storm any month of the year, but the sunshine and warm temps these last few days feel really good!

I decided before I get completely out of winter mode I wanted to finish a couple wintery pocket pages. Quite some time ago I made the winter scrapbook layouts of my girls playing in the backyard on either side of each pocket page and still had some extra pictures I wanted to include. This is one reason I really love using pocket pages - You can easily add in those extra pictures for an event, without feeling like you have to do a lot of traditional layouts if you don't want to.

I used Pretty Cute Stamps to add watercolored stamped images using Distress and Tombow markers and for the sentiments on my pocket page layouts. I just love all the sentiments in each set of stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps - perfect for my Project Life or pocket page layouts!

It was such a milestone to see Erica (the baby) finally enjoying playing outside with Amie. They were definitely Happy Together! and as a mom, what is more important than knowing two sisters are becoming closer together each day.

I also added in some Heidi Swapp Believe papers - matching my traditional layouts - as well as some CTMH small journalling spots and BoBunny and PL journalling cards.

Here are my layouts as they appear in my album, alongside the traditional layouts:

My journalling cards - close up:

I thought the pinks and adorable Eskimo girl stamp added a girly touch to my layouts - and the lovey dovey snow sentiments! Perfect for a layout for my beautiful girls!

Thanks so much for joining me today for some fun, snowy scrapbook pages! Now, we can get on to enjoying Spring!! Don't forget to hop on over to the Bimini Moose blog to check out our current challenge and link up with your scrapbooking project - traditional or pocket style! I can't wait to see what you've been up to!

I'm also so excited to announce I've just started a Fan Page for Creative Love Affair on Facebook! Please pop over and Like my page!! I'll be sharing lots of crafty goodness and a giveaway at 100 subscribers!!

Project Life Week 2!

I am finally getting around to posting my Week 2 for my 2015 Project Life Album! I am really enjoying doing PL and love getting those moments down on paper that I know I would forget if I left them.

It's great to be able to add little things like ticket stubs along side my photos! Normally they would go into a pile - never to meet their photo sister again, lol!

I also love all the journalling cards in the Project Life App! If I ever want something different to choose, I have lots to pick from.

Thanks so much for joining me today!! Hope you are all enjoying a fabulous Friday!
P.S. Don't forget you can link your past or present Pocket Page/Project Life layouts to the awesome challenge at Bimini Moose!
