Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps May New Release Sneak Peeks - Day 1 - Up, Up & Away!

Spring is here!  (Well in most places anyway!) and the MAY Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps begins NOW! Welcome to Day ONE of our May Krafty Peeks! We are ready to celebrate and inspire you with FOUR new stamp sets, TWO new stencils, a brand new INK colour and some new Krafty DOTS! Who's ready to PAR-TEE!!!?! We're kicking off the krafty fun with an ADORABLE set from artist BECKY PEARCE and it's called..... UP, UP and AWAY!

What a fabulous and uplifting set of sweet images and sentiments to send to special people to let them know you're thinking of them, especially right now! It's a 4x6 stamp set featuring several main images, some accessory stamps and some awesome sunshiney sentiments!

These adorable stamps couldn't be any cuter with the sweet elephants, little birds and awesome hot air balloon! I decided to combine the two NEW stencils -  RADIANT RAINBOWS and SUMMER SUNBEAMS with the clouds in the Krafty Scenery Stencil to create a fantastic sky scene with a glittery rainbow!

I used our awesome new SUMMER SUNSHINE Krafty Kolours Ink on that fantastic Sunbeam and after inking the Radient Rainbows Stencil with various Krafty Kolours Inks I used Gina K Iridescent Glitter Gel over top to create a fantastic glittering effect! You can see the clouds peeking out from the background and the sunbeams just behind the rainbow.

I coloured up the adorable images with Copics and used a white gel pen to add highlights before paper piecing the balloon with fun summertime papers! I absolutely adore all the awesome sentiments in this set and decided to add the sweet birthday wishes to a banner. A few of the awesome NEW  RAINBOW BRIGHT DOTS finish this card off!

As you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs today you will see the UP, UP AND AWAY stamp set in action in combination with our all of our other awesome new MAY Kraftin' Kimmie products! You will spot our newest addition to the Krafty Kolours Hybrid Ink rainbow!  It's a gorgeous bright yellow named SUMMER SUNSHINE! As always it will be available in full sized ink pads, mini cubes and ink refills!

We've got TWO brand new Krafty Stencils for this month's release to help accessorize your creations! They are called RADIANT RAINBOWS and SUMMER SUNBEAMS!

And of course, we are adding the perfect new coordinating Krafty Dots for this release! The package includes 48 enamel dots in varying sizes in 6 different colours! These ones are called RAINBOW BRIGHT DOTS!

You'll get to see all of our brand new goodies in action over the next few days of April Krafty Peeks and everything will be released at our LIVE Online Release Party in the Krafty Friends facebook group on Saturday, May 16th at 2 pm EST! One More Family Game Night Layout plus Video!

Hello! Whew there's a lot going on this week!! And I'm super excited to share this fun layout using the Family Night collection from Carta Bella again for the Scrap Shotz Blog! Today I'm using the fun papers and ephemera packs for an actual trip out - before... you know! As soon as I saw these cute ice cream pics I had to pair them with the awesome food paper from the Family Night Collection.

Family Game Night Scrapbook Layouts!

Hello! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I had a very special Mother's Day and even though I didn't expect to see my oldest daughter, she made a surprise visit to see me and we had a wonderful socially distanced visit. We have definitely been having more family game nights since quarantine and I'm sharing some cute scrapbook layouts on the Scrap Shotz Blog today using the very timely Family Night collection from Carta Bella. In this first layout the girls are playing Apples to Apples, which always gets a lot of giggles!

And in this second layout we are playing Jumanji, which is fun too - and of course you never know what might happen!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge #530 - Flowers!

Good Morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing! We've got some fabulous ideas for you and can't wait to see what you create! This week our challenge for you is .... FLOWERS!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like. These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp however using Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and products will earn you double entries! The monthly prize is a $25 voucher to the Krafty shop!!! Woohoo! There are two ways to enter... you can link up your creation on the Kraftin’ Kimmie blog page AND you can upload your photo to the album in our Krafty Friends FB group.

For this challenge I decided to use the sweet You're Pretty Fly Stamp Set. These adorable birdies just make me smile! I coloured them up with Copic Markers and added some white gel pen highlights. I used the Chubby Clouds stencil with some Bubbly Blue Krafty Kolours Ink to add some subtle cloud details in the background. This cloud stencil is one of my fav's - I love how you have so many sizes and shapes to choose from!

I thought this lovely floral paper was perfect for this flowery challenge - and a cute little flower sticker popped up in the corner adds a bit of dimension and some bright colour.  A few of the Heavenly Krafty Dots finish off this cute card - perfect for Springtime!

Fancy Floral Watercolour Card!

Hello! I hope you're all doing well. I'm over on the Wild Whisper Blog today with a beautiful watercoloured card that looks like it was a lot more work than it actually was - due to the beautiful mixed media papers from the Fanciful Florals Collection by Nicole Wright! She has again come up with a gorgeous collection, and this time she has handdrawn florals on the back of each paper - so beautiful!! I used some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolour the fussy cut florals and coordinated them with this pretty paper - and even incorporated an embossed background created with her stencil! You'll definitely going to want to check out the Blog for details!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Skrappy Challenge - Sticky Note Holder!

Hello good stampers and krafty friends!!! Welcome back to another month of Skrappy Fun at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! We challenge YOU to make Anything BUT a Card!!! For this challenge I decided to create a cute and easy Sticky Note Holder decorated with adorable images from the Happy Hedgehogs Stamp Set and the Fancy Florals Stamps. I used the basic instructions from this Pin HERE and added my layers and images. I coloured this sweet little hedgehog up with Copics and tucked it into a diecut embroidery hoop. I left a little of the hoop unglued on the bottom so the flap could tuck in and stay closed.

For this challenge you can make anything you want to....except a card! So that means bookmarks, gifts, scrapbook pages, journal art, planner pages, tags, boxes...pretty much anything that includes a krafty stamp!! Just make sure to include a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps product and make sure it's a NEW creation! As soon as we have at least five people playing, we'll be giving away a PRIZE!!! yep! One lucky krafter will WIN a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop!

I love the beautiful flowers in the Fancy Florals Stamp Set! I stamped them with Lovely Lagoon, Pumpkin Patch and Pink Pizzaz Krafty Kolours Inks and then used coloured pencils to shade them in. I added a few pops of colour with the Fruity Krafty Dots.

Inside I added a few more stamped flowers and a sentiment from the Fancy Florals Set. I glued in the back of the sticky note pad to the base, but a new pad could easily replace the old one when it was finished!

Sew Sweet Pea Love Pattern with Cricut and a Giveaway!!

Hello friends! I hope you had a great weekend! I'm back today with a fun project you just might want to try, and a fun GIVEAWAY below!!  I made this as a gift for my niece and actually used this Canvas Tote as the gift bag to give her birthday gifts in! If you haven't heard of Sew Sweet Pea, you'll definitely want to check them out! They are a family run business with beautiful sewing patterns that can be cut with your electronic cutters using the SVG pattern file! Now, if you don't have an electronic machine you can still cut out their beautiful patterns by hand using the downloadable PDF. They also include lots of information on how it goes together and even give you instructions on how to applique and what kind of stitches you can use! I decided to cut the Love Cushion Applique Sewing Pattern pieces out of Natalie Malan Patterned Iron-On Vinyl using my Cricut Maker, but you can just as easily cut them from fabric. 
 I love that the Love word and hearts actually form a heart! I thought these pretty Patterned Iron-On colours actually looked like fabric! Don't forget to mirror your cuts when you're using Iron-On! One of the files that comes in the download is actually mirrored so you won't forget - and yeah I'm saying that because you know I forgot, lol! I left my hearts 'backwards' but I had to recut the Love... Oh well!

Here's a quick video where you can see how easy it is to upload this pattern into Cricut Design Space! Don't forget after you have it you can use it to cut fabric, vinyl, iron-on, paper and more!!

I trimmed close to the backing material so I could layer each heart and letter on and iron them on at one time with my Cricut EasyPress 2 and the EasyPress Mat. I'm telling you the EasyPress 2 and Mat is a game changer! I pressed for the recommended time and then removed the liner pieces and I love how it turned out!!
