Kitty Bee Designs Challenge #82 - Orange and Black!

Hi friends! I'm back today to share the project I made for the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge this week using an Orange and Black theme! Since Halloween is coming up really soon, that wasn't hard at all!

Our sponsor this week is the wonderful digital stamp company, Aurora Wings. Please check them out and show them some love for being such a wonderful sponsor! You can find their beautiful images on their website Aurora Wings and their Etsy shop.

For my card I'm using this adorable Candy Corn Fairy digital stamp, which I coloured with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour markers. I used some Halloween papers from my stash, along with Distress Ink for edging and some Izink orange ink for fun splatters! I love how these creepy spiders are in the background, but the sweet fairy makes this card not too scary ;)

I popped her up on foam dots and used some orange and clear Stickles to giver her some shimmery fun - because of course a fairy needs shimmer! These pretty sequins and the button I added are from the 28 Lilac Lane collection.

Inside, I used the rest of that doily from the front of the card and added some sentiment stamps from the Bewitched stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps.

You can see the video I created to show you how I made this card here!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Orange and Black challenge at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge blog and enter your own project for a chance to win!

Color Burst Christmas Cards and Video!

Hi friends! I've been in the mood for Christmas card making, so I'm back today to share a couple cards and a video using some amazing Color Burst powders! We got some snow over the weekend, and the girls and I sat at the kitchen table listening to Christmas music and making cards - so fun!

I layered on some patterned papers from my stash, first sponging around the edges with Distress Inks. I love that cute Echo Park deer paper!

Then I used white embossing powder to emboss my sentiment background image using a stamp from The Old Island Stamp Company, which is in BC Canada on watercolour paper. I tapped on some Color Burst powders in Turquoise, Lime and Fuchsia and spritzed with water - you can see how beautifully these blend in the video below!

I added a flower embellishment and some gorgeous sequins from the NEW Holly Berries mix from SpiegelMom Scraps!

Inside, I used a Christams stamp from Inkadinkado, added some Distress Ink around the edge and used sparkly Gelly Roll pens to colour the stars.

You can see the video where I show you how I create this beautiful card here! Don't forget to like and subscribe ;)

Here's a look at these two pretty cards together. You can see how each time you'll get a different background even using the same colours. You can find this NEW lovely Holly Berries sequin mix at the SpiegelMom Scraps Shop - I'm planning on using these on many more projects!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you're enjoying a wonderful, crafty week!

Gorjuss Fox Fall Tags!

Hi there! I hope all my Canadian friends had a Happy Thanksgiving! We had a lovely meal Sunday with family and of course too much yummy dessert, which was sooo good! I think the best is leftovers though - and turkey soup!! Ok, now that we`re all hungry, I`ll show you some cute Fall tags I created for a Happy Mail swap using some small manilla tags, Distress Inks and the cute foxes from one of the Gorjuss Girls stamp sets. I realized that for some reason I must have changed the colour of the first two photos in the editing :0, but the last photo shows the true colours of the tags! Sorry about that! I started by stamping the foxes onto kraft cardstock and colouring them in with coloured pencils before fussy cutting them out.

I sponged on some Antique Linen and Ripe Persimmon Distress Paints through some stencils and then inked over top with Distress Inks. Because the paints create a resist it looks as if they`re popping through the inks - love this effect!

I layered on some stamps from the same set, used some Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added a few extra stencils and then stamped the stars from the set with Versamark Ink and added Gold Embossing Powder. Lastly I pasted on my cute foxes and added some hemp twine from the SpiegelMom Scraps Store! Be sure to use the code MOVE35 for 35% off your order there until Oct 30th!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you have an awesome week!

FCCB #287 - Pumpkins!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #287-Pumpkins
Make a project about pumpkins!

This Weeks Sponsor

And we are giving away a $25 Amazon gift certificate, courtesy of FCCB Design Team! This prize will be given if there are 10 entries or more.

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For my project I started with the sweet Pumpkin Spice Latte cutting file from our awesome sponsor, Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. I love coffee and I'm a sucker for a Pumpkin Spice Latte, so this was the perfect place to start! I placed it on the PPPR Side Step Card and started layering.

I used a woodgrain embossing folder in my Cuttlebug and embossed the panel behind both the coffee cup and the diecut Love You A Latte sentiment, which was cut from the Just Because Cards Cricut cartridge. A little Distress Ink around the edges of my diecuts as well as over top of the wood embossing just adds a bit of highlighting.

I stamped this cute sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps, the PPPR sister store, from the Harvest Happiness stamp set (on SALE until October 13, 2016 - see bottom of blog post!) directly onto my diecut pumpkins from the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge. That pretty pumpkin silhouette border is from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge and I layered it over an orange panel.

I added some Distress Stickles to the Love and Latte diecuts on this cute sentiment.

For the finishing touch I added my newest addiction - SEQUINS! from the Autumn Joy and Mocha Mint Dream sequin collections from the SpiegelMom Scraps Store. I've added a 35% off CODE at the bottom of this post!!

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Be sure to head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what all the other amazing Design Team members have come up with for this Pumpkin Challenge - and stop by the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons blog to show some love for our sponsor!

Crocheted With Love Gift Tag and Video!

Hey there!! How is everyone today?! Hopefully great! I just finished crocheting this cute baby rattle for a friend who's having a baby and, of course, I had to add a little handmade gift tag! The Knit Happens stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps was perfect!

After cutting out my tag using a Spellbinders die I sponged blue Distress Ink around the edges and then stamped on the sweet sentiment and hearts included in the stamp set.

I used the coordinating SVG files and my Cricut Explore to cut out the yarn and crochet hook diecuts and then stamped on them and coloured with coloured pencils.

I used some foam dots to pop up my little yarn cut and tied my tag onto the baby rattle with blue and white bakers twine. Now, this little baby rattle is all ready to give to my friend who's expecting a new baby boy anyday!

You can check out the video where I show you how I made this cute tag here!

Christmas Crafting Has Officially Started!

I know it seems like summer just ended, but the leaves here have mostly turned and a lot have fallen off the trees already - plus I swear I saw a snowflake today! Anyway, I think I'm justified in officially starting my Christmas cards! When I saw my friend, Janis' new challenge blog - The Merry Christmas Challenge Blog - well, I had to enter a card! Her first challenge is to use a favourite stamp. One of my fav's definitely is this cute Gingerbread House from Pretty Cute Stamps! I stamped on watercolour paper and used my Distress and Tombow Markers to watercolour in my images, using some masking to add this adorable penguin from the Warm Fuzzies PCS stamp set. And, of course, I had to add some lovely white and mini star sequins from the Wedding Bells sequin mix from SpiegelMom Scraps! (see the code below to save on your order!!)

I felt like this little guy needed a Santa hat so I used the hat from the Little Llama PCS stamp set along with white heat embossing the snowflakes from this set. I even used one of the cute little candy canes from the Oh, Christmas Tree PCS set!

I used Glossy Accents and Distress Rock Candy Glitter to add 'sugar' to my scene and used some white Liquid Applique, which I heated, to add some snow.

Inside, I used this fun sentiment from the Gingerbread House set and added two yummy gum drops!

Here's a look at the stamp sets I used to make my Chrismas card!

Die Cuttin' Divas Guest Design - Happy HOWLoween Plus Bonus Card and Video!

I'm super excited today to be a Guest Designer and share a 'not too scary' 😉 HOWLoween card with you using this week's sketch over at the Die Cuttin Divas' challenge blog!

I started off by layering my Halloween papers over an orange cardbase and then added my diecut cut from the Pumpkin Carvings Cricut cartridge, which I cut with my Explore.

I coloured this adorable werewolf from the Werewolf Digital Stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps using Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers and popped him up with foam dots to give him a bit of dimension.

I printed the digital sentiment, included in the set directly onto my patterned paper and added some handdrawn stitching lines around a banner diecut with a Spellbinders die and my Cuttlebug. The cute little pawprints are cut with my Cricut again using the SVG file from the coordinating PCS Fur Baby stamp set and stamped with the little paw print.

Inside, I used another sentiment included in the set along with a sweet sucker from the PCS Candy Faces Digital Stamp set and I diecut the white background using another Spellbinders die.

I added a few tiny star sequins from the SpiegelMom Scraps store.

Here's a look at the awesome sketch they are using over at the Die Cuttin' Divas blog:
The first Halloween card was so fun to create that I decided I would whip up another one using the PCS Mummy Digital Stamp set and make a little YouTube video for you!
