Hello Sisters Layout!

Hello friends! I hope you're all doing ok 💗 I'm over on the Wild Whisper Designs Blog today with a layout celebrating my two wonderful sisters, whom I feel ever so grateful for. I'm feeling like I need to take stock of all the wonderful and special things in my life and focus on those in this time of difficulty. Weekend Update, SMS Layout & Junk Journal Giveaway!!

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! The time flies so quickly... We did a bit of sledding with the girls on the Saturday since it was finally warm enough to venture outside as long as we were bundled up! My husband celebrated his birthday and I tried out a Duncan Hines Carrot Cake, which was surprisingly awesome! Sometimes I'm just too tired to bake a cake, so I opted to go the cake mix route, and we all loved it. We ventured across town to the Farmers Market on Sunday where I had my favourite Chicken Tortilla Soup and we did a little shopping and picked up some mini Simon Says Pies to take home. The dessert pies are about a 4" pie shell filled with many different types of yummy fillings!!

The girls tried out a couple new sleds we recently picked up!

And here's the layout I shared over on the SpiegelMom Scraps Instagram Feed last week. In September we got our family photos taken and they are beautiful with the pretty Fall colours in the background. I'm planning a few different layouts to go with the Fall theme, but for this page I really wanted to use the photo with these lovely Paige Evans collections so I changed it to black & white. I really love the look of it, and I think I need to scrap some more B&W photos! When I think of scrapbooking, Shimelle Laine is one of the names I automatically think of! Her contribution to the industry,  the Two Peas site when they were around, the Glitter Girl videos - breaking scrapbooking down into the basics! She is one of my favourite scrapbookers and I know I've been influenced immensely by her. SpiegelMom Scraps - Keepin' It Real Scraplift!

Hi! It's been a busy bloggy week here, and I have had lots of fun creating! Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout over at the SpiegelMom Scraps blog and I wanted to give you a peek of it! Our theme this week is to Scraplift Missy Whidden. Now, if you haven't heard of Missy, you have to check her out! She is an amazing scrapbooker and does fabulous things with mixed media and much more! I chose to scraplift her scrapbook page she made here in this video. Can I just say, she makes it look so easy... I did try some new techniques and styles and I had fun with it! It made me realize how important it is to step out of our comfort zone and try new things once in a while.
