Mixed Media Fall Tag with Video! Watch now!

 Hello friends! I thought I would pop in to share the project I created Live on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Facebook Page yesterday! We made a mixed media fall tag with some new Wild Whisper goodies (don't forget to use the code DTKARLA to save 10% off at the Wild Whisper Shop 😉), Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays and Inks, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Krafty Kolours Inks and P13 paper!! 

You can follow the steps I used to make any mixed media tags - I'm definitely going to do these up for Christmas and Winter!! 

I even used up the extra ink spray to colour coordinate a seam binding ribbon and a separate tag that we used for diecuts and stamping!

Scrap Shotz Online Slimline Christmas Card Class! Watch now!

 Hello! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!! I'm so excited to join in all the fun at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival which has gone Virtual! There are so many amazing classes and I am honoured to be able to teach Segment 4: Scrap Shotz Slimline Christmas Card and Foiled Tag Class HERE, which went live at 10 am MST. We made this beautiful card and tag and tried out lots of fun techniques.

Happy Halloween Layout - Collaboration!

Hello friends! I'm so excited to be back today to share a fun Halloween layout with you! I love Halloween... the candy, the costumes, the photos and all the fun paper crafts you can make for this fun holiday! But I'm really excited today to share an awesome collaboration I'm doing with my crafty friend, Jennifer Smith!! I think it's always awesome to get together with fellow makers and support each other. Jennifer is from Alberta too and she is a total sweetheart! I'd love for you to check her out - you can find her online at her Blog, Website, Facebook page and Instagram!! Here's a look at how this scrapbook page came together!

Below you can also check out the crafty 'haul' VIDEO showcasing the goodies I received from her so that I could share some projects created with the wonderful products from the current Close To My Heart Catalog. My first project for you is a sweet and not too spooky Halloween Layout using the awesome Got Candy Bundle, which includes a stamp set, paper pack, sticker sheet, coordinating cardstock & sequins!! (Don't forget to check out the video to see it close up!)

I love this pumpkin paper!! and there are so many ways you can coordinate the stamps & stickers! I used the Happy Halloween sticker as a title, mounted on some of the matching cardstock - seriously awesome Halloween colours... I grabbed some Dina Wakley Gloss Spray Paints to add some fun paint splatters on the background and layered on my matted photos. 

The sequins are so awesome, with the creepy crawly spiders, cute ghosts and shiny pumpkins - along with several sizes of round sequins in matching colours. I used some Distress Oxide Inks to stamp onto the tags I diecut from the cardstock pages. I even added one of the zip strips from the bottom of the page as border accents under the pumpkin paper!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September New Release Hop & Shop!

 Woot!  Woot! Today we are celebrating all the wonderful new holiday things in our September Release that are NOW AVAILABLE in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop! All THREE of our new stamp sets along with two new stencils, our stunning new hybrid ink colour, Precious Pink and sweet new Christmas Dots were released yesterday and we're excited to share everything with you in a fabulous blog hop! I'm using the adorable SANTA'S RIDE! to create a peek-a-boo window card today to show you how fun these adorable images are! I coloured them up with Copic Markers and tucked them into each window opening for a very merry Christmas card!

I used the awesome HOLIDAY LIGHTS Stencil (currently out of stock, but on the way!! Be sure to add your email to be notified as soon as it comes back!) to add a string of these wonderful Christmas bulbs behind the window openings. I used the brand new PRECIOUS PINK Ink along with other Krafty Kolours to customize the lights to match this pretty paper. Just adding a bit of white gel pen highlights and some glittery Wink Of Stella pen creates so much festive fun! I added a sentiment from the amazing set A CRACKIN' HOLIDAY! and scattered shaker mix elements and the New CHRISTMAS DOTS to finish off the card!

And lastly we have the perfect finishing touch for your festive creations with our new Krafty Dots called CHRISTMAS DOTS!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September New Release Sneak Peeks - Day 3 A Crackin' Holiday! PLUS a Challenge!

 Who's ready for more holiday magic??!! Are you lovin' what you've seen so far? Because we've got MORE! It's Day THREE day of September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! It's our FINAL day of peeks and everything you've seen us share this week will be in the online shop this afternoon!

We are closing out the festivities with another fabulous set from artist Neda Sadreddin called A CRACKIN' HOLIDAY! How fun are these nutcrackers? We're so excited to share this fabulous set with you!  Three nutty characters, some accessory stamps and some hilarious sentiments to design some perfect holiday creations!

You'll get to see all sorts of sweet creations featuring A CRACKIN' HOLIDAY as you hop around the Krafty Team blogs today!  PLUS you'll see some of the other goodies in action....like our new stencils, new ink and new Krafty Dots! I decided to make a gatefold card today showcasing these adorable nutcrackers! They are seriously sooo cute!! I created a belly band to keep the card closed, which easily slides off and on, and decorated it with some of the fun nuts in the set as well as a stenciled string of lights using the awesome CHRISTMAS LIGHTS Stencil. I just love how you can customize these lights with so many colours and choose from the bulbs, round lights or stars!!

I coloured two of these guys up with Copic Markers and framed them with a Sizzix diecut which adds pierced holes around the edges of each rectangular piece. I added some of that fabulous PRECIOUS PINK Ink and then stitched with gold metallic thread for a fun effect. I added two of the sentiments, stamping with Krafty Kolours Ink.

Inside, I added the third cutie along with one of the punny sentiments and a peanut! I just love all the different ways you could colour these guys up!!

Of course, today is also Challenge Day and as always, during release week the theme is Anything Goes! So create a card, scrapbook page, altered item.....with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp!  Use any sketch, design, colour scheme you want! We can't wait to see your creations and you have until next Friday night to play along!  Feel free to link up your submission on the blog and/or by uploading your pic to the folder in our Krafty Friends facebook group!  You could WIN a $25 gift voucher to the krafty shop!

Wild Whisper Designs - Invermere Adventure Layout!

 Hello friends! I'm popping in today with a quick look at a layout I'm sharing over at the Wild Whisper Designs Blog. These photos were from a few years ago on a trip to Invermere, BC, and I decided to use the pretty outdoorsy papers from the Wild Whisper Adventure Collection to document them. I followed the September Sketch from the SCT-365 2020 Online Layout Class - this t-design is one of my favourites for scrapbooking with! I framed up the main photo with some of the pretty triangle designed paper to create a focal image and added lots of fun ephemera, sequins and stickers.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September New Release Sneak Peeks - Day 2 Santa's Train!

Welcome back! Did you SEE all the AMAZING new krafty goodness we previewed yesterday? Are you ready to add some more holiday fun to our Christmas release? I hope you answered YES because we are BACK with Day TWO of our September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we're sharing a sweet new stamp set by artist Sabrina van Vloten! It's called....SANTA'S RIDE! What would a holiday release be without the man in red himself?!  This adorable new set features Santa and he's on his way to deliver some Christmas joy....by TRAIN!  You've got the jolliest elf in the engine and there are two different sized train cars plus a bunch of fabulous people and items you can interchange to go in the carts!  You can make your choo choo as long as you want!! This set is so packed full of images and holiday fun!

Check out SANTA'S RIDE in action as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs today!  You'll also see the new stencils, new ink and new dots along the way!!  Be sure to leave some love at each stop because Kimmie is giving away some krafty $$ to a lucky commenter! For today's project I decided to make a Z-fold card to showcase this adorable train and all it's fabulously filled cars!! 

I coloured up images from the set with Copic Markers to coordinate with the Crate Paper Snowflake Collection I had in my stash. I chose a sentiment from one of the cut apart pages to add to the front of my card and layered the papers along each of the folded edges. Some of the wonderful NEW CHRISTMAS DOTS decorate the front - they are such a great size for embellishing!!

I used the pretty bow on the HOLIDAY LIGHTS Stencil with the NEW PRECIOUS PINK Ink to decorate a spot to add a special message and added some fun snowflake shaker mix elements on the inside. You can see there are so many ways to decorate this train! You can mix, match and layer all thr awesome images!!

Here are a couple closeup photos of the card and this must have stamp set, which includes it's very own train track!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps September New Release Sneak Peeks - Day 1 O Holy Night!

Eeeeee!!  Are you ready, are you ready? It is time to begin the September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! Our Christmas Krafty Peeks begin today and you're not going to believe the fabulous goodies we have in store for you this month! As you may know our September release is always focused on the HOLIDAYS!!

Today is Day One and this sweet new set is from artist Neda Sadreddin and it's called O HOLY NIGHT!! The perfect set for Christmas includes the holy family....Mary, Joseph, the baby Jesus and some adorable, fluffy animals!!  This set also includes 4 perfect sentiments and the coordinating stars!

As you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs today you will see the O HOLY NIGHT stamp set in action in combination with our all of our other awesome new September Kraftin' Kimmie products! I just adore this sweet set, which is so wonderful to remind us that Christmas is about more than just presents! I decided to make a slimline card and include all the wonderful characters from the set, coloured with Copic Markers.

I chose the TWINKLE LITTLE STARS stencil and used the beautiful new PRECIOUS PINK Krafty Kolours Ink to create a soft twinkling sky! The sentiments are so lovely in this set, and I stamped one onto the top right corner.

I added a hand drawn black pen line around the edge of the card and popped up a few elements. I love the stitching detail on this slimline die that creates a subtle frame! You could definitely use the adorable animals in the set for a cute farm card too!! I'm already thinking about that tractor set... 😉

You will spot our newest addition to the Krafty Kolours Hybrid Ink rainbow!  It's a soft new blush colour named PRECIOUS PINK! As always it will be available in full sized ink pads, mini cubes and ink refills!

We've got TWO brand new Krafty Stencils for this month's release to help accessorize your creations! They are called TWINKLE LITTLE STARS and HOLIDAY LIGHTS! Both designs are perfect for all your festive cards!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge #548 - Make A Scene

Good morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps ! Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing? This week our challenge for you is: CREATE A SCENE!! Since Fall is my favourite season, I decided to go with the adorable Happy Fall Y'all Stamp Set and create a cute card using sweet little Lulu and her wagon full of pumpkins! I love that you can interchange the stamps in the set to put in this cute wagon. I used some pretty paper to paper-piece her a cute outfit and coloured up this yummy basket of apples!

I pulled out the Here Comes The Sun Stamp Set to complete the scene with the sweet, happy sunshine and puffy clouds. You can see in the background I used the Krafty Scenery Stencil and Krafty Scenery 2 Stencil with Krafty Kolours Inks to finish the background with clouds and grass - obviously perfect to complete a scene!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like. These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and products will earn you double entries!
