Just make sure to include a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and make sure it's a NEW creation! As soon as we have at least five people playing, we'll be giving away a PRIZE!!! yep! One lucky krafter will WIN a $20 gift voucher to the krafty shop!
You have until Monday February 3rd to play along AND you can join as many times as you like as long as they are new creations! Also be sure to share your creations on the Krafty Friends facebook page because we LOVE to see your stuff! (P.S. While you're there you might just find a couple more challenges to have fun with! Check the Announcements page for current challenges!)

For this challenge I decided to create a gift tag and envelope using the Let's Get Krafty and Krafty Love Stamp Sets, Pretty In Pink (on sale!), Ruby Red and Stormy Sky Krafty Kolours Inks, the Wonky Chevron Stencil and Lovey Krafty Dots.

I picked up these Krafty stamps last month from the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop and couldn't wait to use them! They both go together well, and I love the krafty sayings 😉 Why not celebrate our 'kraftiness' with krafty stamps?!! I coloured the girl on the tag with Copic Markers and added some white gel pen highlights. I also recently won some Viva Decor Relief Paperpaste from the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine 12 Days of Giving. It's a very cool 'paper-like' texture paste that works great with stencils and absorbs ink once it's dry.

I created a base of the Relief Paperpaste with the Wonky Chevron stencil and then sponged on the pink and red inks listed above. I love the Krafty Kolours inks! They are a hybrid ink that stamp beautifully and also blend wonderfully. I layered papers from my stash using the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection and added stickers and chipboard from the Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse line. Some coordinating twine and Krafty Dots add even more texture and fun!

I'm going to add this pretty tag to a gift for someone special and of course I'll need a coordinating envelope! I used the Wonky Chevron stencil again and some of the Pretty In Pink Ink to add a subtle pattern to the middle of the envelope. After stamping another krafty girl I used coloured pencils this time to colour in the image.

I added a little flower sticker to her hair, some white gel pen highlights and some more Krafty Dots. I plan on hand delivering this envelope, so I didn't mind adding a little extra dimension. How fun to get an embellished envelope that will give you just a taste of what's going to be inside?!

On the back of the tag I added a few more of the Simple Stories stickers and stamped another krafty sentiment. I embellished the envelope flap as well and stamped a sentiment with the red ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Check out some incredible inspiration from the Krafty Design Team below, then join us for all the fun!! You can link up on the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog and  the Krafty Friends facebook page. I can't wait to see what you share!!

Southern Ridge Trading Company - So In Love Double Page Layout!

Hello friends! I sure hope you've had a wonderful week and are looking forward to the week ahead! I find the weekend goes so quick, but I do try to set aside some downtime for myself. My daughter had her 12th birthday party this weekend, and we had so much fun! It's certainly hard to believe how quickly time flies... I'm making some baby pages today and looking back at the girls when they were tiny, using some pretty chipboard pieces from Sourthern Ridge Trading Company along with a pretty heart stencil I am totally loving!

I decided to join the Scrapbook & Cards today SCT 2019 365 Online Class this year for a year full of inspirational sketches - so this is how I started this layout using the January sketch. Do What You Love Prima Doll Tag!

Hi there! I'm posting over at the Scrapendipity Way Of  Life blog today and wanted to share this sweet tag I made over the summer! We were actually away on holidays, and I wanted to bring a small kit of craft supplies to work on if I had time. I brought along a couple 6x6 pads of patterned paper, some script background paper to stamp my dolls on, and some Prima Paper Doll stamps by Julie Nutting, along with a few pens, ink, Prismacolor markers, glue and some bakers twine. I paper pieced this sweet girl's clothing and hairband from a new Maggie Holmes paper pad I brought. I stashed all my supplies in a 12x12 Iris tote.

I cut the buttons from some Jillibean Soup patterned paper and layered them on my tag, and I even snagged a couple pony beads from my kids' stash to use on my bow. A glittery gel pen added some shine to my project for added detail.

I hand cut pretty flowers from the Maggie Holmes pad and layered on a banner with a handwritten quote, adding that same shimmery gel pen to highlight the words.

I loved having a few supplies with me, perfect for when we wanted to just take a break from activities. I love making up small kits to take along, and I think it makes me even more creative when I know I have a limited amount of supplies to work with! My girls also had fun stamping and colouring in some paper dolls to play with :)

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you have a lovely, crafty week!

Project Life Catch Up - Week 17!

I'm finally feeling a little more settled with school starting back up and getting back into a routine! I found I really didn't have a lot of time over the summer to do Project Life, so I'm happy to get back to it now! I've printed off my pics for each week and now I can get them into my album.

Today I'm posting on the Scrapendipity Way Of Life Blog and wanted to share some easy ways to add some extra details to your journaling cards using some paper ephemera! I used some fun die cuts from Maggie Holmes and My Mind's Eye and layered them on my Project Life cards along with some stamps to add some fun accents. This cool stitching look and arrow on the card on the top right is a stamp from Pretty Cute Stamps - Awesome Arrows!

My Week 17 card was made in the Rhonna Designs App - I just love this app! and I printed it with my photos.

I used more preprinted die cuts and stamping on the second page. I find it easiest to cluster the embellishments together to get them to work on the cards!

On my third page I used some fun Cricut cuts from the Create A Critter cartridge and my Explore. I actually used the Write feature to write in my words, then added some Distress Inks and splatters with Dylusions Sprays. I used some Dylusions stamps to add some fun leaves to the dino cards.
On the bottom half of this page I used stamps from the Superheroes and Super Sentiments from Pretty Cute Stamps! I first cut the outlines using the Explore and coordinating SVG files and then coloured them in with Prismacolor Markers. Let me tell you, this makes it soooo much easier!

As I looked through my album I loved seeing all the journaling I had added and all the fun elements on my pages. Even though I'm a little behind I know this is something I do want to continue to do, and my kids love looking through the pages. That's what makes it all worthwhile!

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you enjoyed your Monday if you had a long weekend like we did here, and happy, crafty wishes for the rest of the week!

Fun Times Quick Card!

Hope you're having a super awesome week so far! I'm posting over at the Scrapendipity Way Of Life blog today and wanted to share this cute and quick card to make. I love making detailed cards with technique driven backgrounds, but sometimes I just need something quick!

I cut a piece of the pool coloured polkadot paper to fit on my card front (it's actually from an American Crafts Christmas collection - Jolly!) and used a border punch to punch one edge before layering it on my card over a light pink strip. Then, I used a frame from the Maggie Holmes collection of diecuts to layer over an ice cream journalling card from a Dear Lizzy paper pack. It came with a sheet of cut apart journaling cards on a 12x12 page. I used a sentiment from a paper pack as well and added a couple enamel dots and that was that!

There are so many paper packs that come with journaling cards in them now - it's easy to find ones to add to a card! A little layering and you've got a pretty card ready in minutes!

Thanks for joining me today! Hope you have a wonderful week!

If you came from the Pretty Cute Stamps blog, you are in the right place. If you just stumbled across this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog

For my project for the hop, I've used the Botday stamp set to create a sweet girly robot card. I just picked up a Maggie Holmes Crate Paper 6x6 pad and it inspired me to do a pink themed card using this absolutely cute girl robot! I just love all the gears included in this set and I stamped them in gray ink to create a border for my card.

I stamped this cutie on white cardstock and used Prismacolor alcohol markers to colour her in before giving her a paper pieced dress. One of the reasons I love 6x6 pads is that the patterns are made smaller and I just love the look of them when I paper piece them :) I love this sentiment and the font - so fun!!

And how cute are these other sentiments?! Perfect for piecing together any saying!

Here's a pic of the stamp set and all the goodness included! I can't wait to use this little wind up mechanism to create a wind-up toy card! And, I know this balloon is going to be awesome with all the other sets too!!

Pocket Letter Goodness!

I'm back today to share a post on the Scrapendipity Way Of Life blog! Recently I pulled out some Maggie Holmes and Dear Lizzy papers and I just had to make a Pocket Letter to send to a friend who's been under the weather lately. I layered my papers with fun diecuts from the Maggie Holmes Crate Paper diecut pack and added some Heidi Swapp stickers. I did a little stamping and added some beads and sequins and a cute little paper clip!

On the backside I added in a few more diecuts, some pre-printed and some cut with a machine, some flowers, cork stickers, baker's twine, buttons, washi tape, mini journaling cards, and ribbon.

I love how you can fold these pockets in thirds and pop them into a regular A10 envelope! I added a doily and a couple more diecuts.

I'm sure my friend will have fun getting this surprise in the mail - and I hope it makes feel a bit better! Thanks for joining me today, and I wish you a happy, crafty week!

Nature Scrapbooking with Maggie Holmes and Dear Lizzy!

Ok, I didn't really scrapbook with them, but wouldn't that be awesome!! However, I did recently pick up some Maggie Holmes and Dear Lizzy papers and wanted to combine them along with some Maggie Holmes diecuts and Heidi Swapp Project Life goodies to make some camping layouts.

For the first one I used the Canadian Scrapbooker July Sketch.

I used some AC Thickers from my stash, but since they were a bit light I 'brushed' them with a Victorian Velvet Distress Ink pad to darken them a bit. I added some journaling on a tag and tucked it behind my photo in the top left.

The date stamp is from Amy Tangerine and I layered papers cut from the paper packs over this adorable viewfinder diecut!

For the second layout I used a sketch from the July sketch at Stuck?! Sketches. I used a Heidi Swapp PL card and some gold accents from the mini PL kit as well as a 3x4 card for my journaling tag.

I just love the two pics of my girls together. As any mom knows there are those precious moments when two kids are just happy in the moment, totally in love with each other. And, of course, you need to snap a pic at that moment because it may not last....

I cut a banner and the camera from the paper pack. I love the addition of this corner element!

A little AC ribbon tied through an eyelet turned this journaling card into a pretty tag, perfect for my journaling about how happy seeing the two of them together like this made me feel!

Thanks so much for joining me today!! Don't forget to check out all the fun background effects I've been posting on my blog lately ;) and have an awesome week!
