Canvas Corp Brands Creative Crew Canvas!

Whew, that's almost a tongue twister! Well, I'm so happy to be on the Canvas Corp Brands Creative Crew again this year!! They are an amazing family owned company and have a wonderful assortment of products. Definitely a dream to be on their design team! Every year the DT gets to create a 4x4 canvas using the beautiful products from CCB - which include Tattered Angels, 7gypsies and Canvas Corp Brands. These 4x4 canvases represent each DT member's unique style. One thing I love about CCB is that they don't want everyone fitting into the same box and they celebrate the different talents that each person brings to working with them. This year I wanted to start with a beautiful rub-on from the 7gypsies Architextures Pose Rub-ons. These rub-ons are sooo super cool! They are meant to look like a vintage stamped image, and you can use them on numerous surfaces. I wanted the beautiful texture of the natural canvas to show through so after I applied the face rub-on I used various Tattered Angels translucent Mists to paint in my face and background.

I used some of the 7gypsies Architextures Short Base Doily Stickers (a wonderful product you can use as a stencil, a sticker, you can alter....) to the corners of my canvas and glued on a pretty Little Birdie Crafts butterfly.

I used one of the gorgeous 7gypsies Architextures stickers and added a rub-on sentiment. This girl stickers was a Michaels Exclusive! Some Little Birdie Crafts glitter was glued around the canvas for a little more sparkle.

These pretty canvas flowers from Little Birdie Crafts were just perfect to spray with the Tattered Angels Mists. I added touches of gold to the leaves as well and layered them on the canvas.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! You can find the link to all the Crew's fantastic creations HERE, and just by clicking on the 4x4 pics you can find your way to each person's blog. You might just discover someone new to follow, and a lot of great inspiration!

FCCB #322 - AG with Optional Sequins!

Happy Monday and welcome to another FCCB Monday challenge!

Challenge #323-Anything Goes with optional twist: Sequins
Make any Cricut project with optional Sequins

This Weeks Sponsor
https://spiegelmom-scraps.myshopify.com/
The prize is this wonderful sequin collection-

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.  If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

I decided to make a Thank You card for my project using this Floral Emblem from Cricut Access in Design Space. I used floral papers from the Maggie Holmes Bloom paper pad to layer on the cardbase as well as to diecut in my Cricut Explore. Because the papers were so soft I added a little Distress Inks sponged around the edges of the cuts. In order to place all the cut elements just right, I first laid the negative image on top and then glued each cut into the open areas. After I pulled off the negative I was left with perfectly placed diecuts!

I added a handmade paper flower from Little Birdie Crafts to the center of the floral emblem diecut and used the SpiegelMom Scraps Southern Bluebells Sequin Mix to add a little sparkly bling to areas on my card. I really love the look of sequins on a card!

Inside, I used a Many Thanks sentiment from the Jasmine cartridge. I cut 3 of them at once and layered them to create a thicker embellishment. I added a few more sequins, and you can see how they just add that extra detail!

You can use the code KARLA15 to save 15% off your purchases at the SpiegelMom Scraps shop!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have an awesome week ahead 💓Be sure to stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog to see what all the other Design Team members have come up with and enter your own for a chance to win a sparkly prize from our amazing sponsor, SpiegelMom Scraps!!

Kitty Bee Designs - Get Well Soon Panda Card!

Hi! I'm popping back in today to share a cute Get Well card using an adorable Kitty Bee Designs Get Well Soon Panda 1 Digital Stamp. How can tiny bandaids be so darn cute?!! I'm still having fun using the awesome Paige Evans Pick Me Up papers and thought they'd be perfect with this cute card, making anyone who's under the weather feel a little bit better. I coloured this panda cutie with coloured pencils and added Glossy Accents to the little bandaid and cast to add some dimension before cutting him out on a YNS Stitched Tag Die. I really love how quick and easy this guy can be coloured up with a little shading.

I used a sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps on a Spellbinders Tab Die along with a few cute Pretty Pink Posh heart stamps, which I also added Glossy Accents to. I really love the Bamboo Stencil from Little Birdie Crafts - it worked great with some Evergreen Bough Distress Ink to add a bit more colour to the tag. A beautiful Little Birdie Crafts handmade paper flower and some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins finish off this bright and colourful card.

Inside I used another sentiment from Pretty Cute Stamps and stamped three more tiny hearts.

Thanks for stopping by today! Kitty Bee Designs - Valentine Bunny Pocket Tags!

Hello! I'm over at the Kitty Bee Designs Blog today sharing these adorable little Valentine Pocket Tags using the Super Bun Valentine Digital Stamp . I think my girls will adore finding these on Valentines Day with a few sweet treats tucked into the pockets!

I keep a box of Valentine themed papers and goodies in my craft room and was excited to find these sweet little My Mind's Eye pockets that I thought would be perfect to turn into little tags!

I coloured in these adorable digi bunnies with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are alcohol based, and then cut them out using a Stitched Square Kaisercraft Die. I added a little Tim Holtz chit chat sticker to the middle of the heart and then layered it on a piece of BoBunny paper diecut with a Pretty Pink Posh scalloped die.

I stamped the Pretty Cute Stamps Valentine sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and cut that out with a Waffle Flower Patched Layers Die. A little pink Distress Oxide Ink added a bit of colour around the edge of the sentiment and onto the pretty burlap Little Birdie Crafts flower. (you can check out the unboxing video of these flowers to see more in the collection!)

I added a pretty button and some pink ribbon from a BoBunny Ephemera Pack - I've been loving the assortment of papers, buttons, ribbons and stickers in these packs! Great for crafting on the go too.

I had some ombre coloured doilies that I had picked up at Michaels a while ago and tucked these under the diecuts and the bunny image. I love the look of the layers and the stitched dies!

Lastly, I added some lovely SpiegelMom Scraps sequins for a bit of bling!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'd love to know if you make cards for Valentines Day, and who you give them to. Have a fantastic week friends!

FCCB #275 - Mother's Day!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #275 - Mother's Day-create a card or project for Mother's Day

This Weeks Sponsor
digiplayground.com

There will be 3 winners of $7 gift certificates!

Create a project inspired by Mother's Day

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For my project this week I've chosen to use a Make It Now project using Cricut Design Space. I love that there are so many projects available, with new ones added all the time, that are ready to go! I love that I can customize them or make them as is. I find just by adding some patterned papers from 6x6 paper pads I can change the project to suit me. You can find this Floral Happy Mother's Day Card in Design Space here.

I love the inlaid look of this card where the negative cuts are filled with the same shapes cut with patterned papers. I took the middle flower, which I had diecut out of white cardstock, and first embossed it with an embossing folder and then dropped Izink Inks on the paper and blended them with a bit of water to create a pretty watercolour look.

Inside, I used some stamps I got with my new Cricut Artistry cartridge from CTMH! It was awesome that I could save a bit of $ buying the digital access since I don't need the actual cartridge. I cannot wait to play with this cartridge!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog to see what all the other Design Team members have come up with for this challenge, and enter your own project for a chance to win an awesome gift certificate!

FCCB #249- Welcome Spring

Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday...

Challenge #249 Welcome Spring
Make a project using whatever reminds you of Spring!

This Weeks Sponsor:

Winner will receive one Craftin Desert Diva's stamp set of their choice!
(USA address only)

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

For my project this week I decided to make an art journal page. I used the Home For The Holidays Spring & Summer cartridge for the 'Spring Has Sprung' cut and the Florals Embellished cartridge for the flowers and butterfly. I cut everything from watercolour paper and then used Dylusions sprays on them to colour them in bright spring colours. I spritzed with Perfect Pearls spray mist over top of the Dylusions sprays to blend and add some shine - I love this effect!

My background pages were pages that I just had previously rubbed left over sprays on after stencilling other pages. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with these pages, and this turned out to be the perfect opportunity! I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and a shimmery gold spray over top of the background to spray the sunray stencil. I added Dylusions stamps and sentiments and then coloured them in with Dylusions sprays using a paint brush dipped directly into the spray. My diecut flowers are lined up down the middle of the first page, right in the middle of the sunray!

I used Mod Podge to layer the watercolour diecuts on my background after stamping and sponging the new Pistachio Distress Ink all over my pages.

I hope Spring really has sprung here in Alberta, Canada! I'm ready for sure!!

Thanks so much for joining me today! Be sure to head over to the Fantabulous Cricut Blog and check out what all the other talented Design Team Members have done - and enter your own project with at least one Cricut cut! I hope you enjoy your week :)
