Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge & New Release - Day 3 Hedgehogs!

Hello again! It's Day THREE day of the fabulous January Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! (Be sure to check out Day 1 and Day 2 to see closeups of all the new release goodies!) It's our FINAL day of peeks of our first release of 2020, and everything you've seen us share this week will be in the online shop this afternoon! We are closing things out with a brand new adorable stamp set by Melissa Baker-Nguyen called.... HAPPY HEDGEHOGS!

Check out these sweet little chubby creatures!! I'm so in LOVE! So many ways to mix and match them or use them on their own! You QUILL have so much fun creating with them!

Oh my goodness, these guys are just so adorable!! I had to make two cards - I just couldn't decide which images to use! I coloured up the stamped images with Copic Markers, first stamping with Wicked Black Ink, which is Copic Friendly. I then grabbed some BoBunny Summer Mood paper from my stash and got busy crafting! I love making Valentines Day Cards - they just make me happy!

I diecut some ovals, scallops and hearts and stamped the adorably cute Quill sentiment with the new Crisp Crimson Ink. You can see a closeup of the beautiful flower stencil I used over the black patterned paper. I used the Tonic Nuvo Moonstone Paste and it has an almost iridescent shine to it!  

For the second card I coloured up these two cuties and cut them out with a heart diecut. I used a similar layout for my card, adding the stamped sentiment on the heart - using the Crisp Crimson ink again. It is a gorgeous red! I just love these adorable Heart Dots!! They are new and will only be available while supplies last, so you'll definitely want to grab some of them.

I added some more diecuts and some Little Birdie Crafts flowers, and now I have two more Valentines ready to give to some very special people!

*** Of course, today is also Challenge Day and as always, during release week the theme is Anything Goes! So create a card, scrapbook page, altered item.....with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp! Use any sketch, design, colour scheme you want!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Day 2 You're Gnaw-some!

Hello and welcome back! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's previews! Today we are back with more inky goodness for our JANUARY 2020 release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and we have a sweet new valentine set for you designed by our amazing artist Neda Sadreddin! It's called....YOU'RE GNAW-SOME!

What a fun set of sweet little beavers! There are several main images and accessory stamps plus some super awesome coordinating sentiments! These little sweethearts make my heart happy - and are sure to make your sweetheart happy too 💗

I couldn't resist making two cards using these guys! I coloured up the images with Copic Markers, adding some white gel pen highlights and got to work. I added the heart-sunshine (brilliant!!) and cut out the images with a Sizzix heart die. I thought the Echo Park Little Lumberjack papers were just perfect for these images! I white heat embossed the sentiment and added a couple of the awesome Heart Dots (shown below). I also pulled out some Krafty Basics Dots to add to the top of the card. I added some of the new Crisp Crimson Ink through the new Petite Posies Stencil (both shown below) on top of the red cardstock, giving a subtle tone on tone effect.

Inside, I stamped this fab sentiment with the new Crisp Crimson Ink (shown below) and added a little flower from the set stamped with Wicked Black Ink.

For the second card I again stamped with the Wicked Black Ink, which is Copic and watercolour friendly, and coloured with Copic Markers. I just love how 'in love' these two look 💓 I added a frame from the Little Lumberjack ephemera pack and stamped another funny sentiment, cutting a banner shape. I added a Heart Dot and a few more of the Krafty Basics Dots to embellish the card front. Again, you can see the tone on tone effect from stenciling with the new ink & stencil on the red cardstock!

I love this sentiment, and I'm totally giving this card to my hubby!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps New Release - Day 1 Love Bugs!

Hello and welcome Krafty Friends! I am so excited to be Guest Designing this month with the Kraftin' Kimmie team - and sharing the fabulous new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January Release to kick off the year! The brand new products for January are all about LOVE! So let's get started because I'm so excited to share the Day 1 reveal with you featuring the super sweet new stamp set from artist, SABRINA VAN VLOTEN!! It's called....LOVE BUGS!

Check out this sweet set of little bugs and friends! It's a 4x6 stamp set with lots of little characters, flowers in several sizes for creating scenes and of course, some perfect sentiments! This set is perfect for Valentines, friendship, happy mail and Spring!!

I couldn't resist colouring this adorable ladybug and beautiful flower with Copics to create a scene card to send some special Sunny Wishes to a friend! I used the new Petite Posies Stencil (shown below) along with some Yummy Yellow Krafty Kolours Ink to create a sunshine and stamped the sentiment with Wicked Black.

I tucked one of the small flowers into the ladybug's hand by cutting a small slice for it to fit into. A little Heart Dot - another new fabulous release (shown below) embellishes the sunshine along with some yellow dots from the Krafty Basics pack.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Skrappy Challenge!

Good morning krafty friends!!! Happy New Year and welcome back to another fun challenge over on the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog! We challenge YOU to make Anything BUT a Card - and you have all month to enter!!!

For this challenge you can make anything you want to....except a card! So that means bookmarks, gifts, scrapbook pages, journal art, planner pages, tags, boxes...pretty much anything that includes a krafty stamp!!

Just make sure to include a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and make sure it's a NEW creation! As soon as we have at least five people playing, we'll be giving away a PRIZE!!! yep! One lucky krafter will WIN a $20 gift voucher to the krafty shop!

You have until Monday February 3rd to play along AND you can join as many times as you like as long as they are new creations! Also be sure to share your creations on the Krafty Friends facebook page because we LOVE to see your stuff! (P.S. While you're there you might just find a couple more challenges to have fun with! Check the Announcements page for current challenges!)

For this challenge I decided to create a gift tag and envelope using the Let's Get Krafty and Krafty Love Stamp Sets, Pretty In Pink (on sale!), Ruby Red and Stormy Sky Krafty Kolours Inks, the Wonky Chevron Stencil and Lovey Krafty Dots.

I picked up these Krafty stamps last month from the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop and couldn't wait to use them! They both go together well, and I love the krafty sayings 😉 Why not celebrate our 'kraftiness' with krafty stamps?!! I coloured the girl on the tag with Copic Markers and added some white gel pen highlights. I also recently won some Viva Decor Relief Paperpaste from the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine 12 Days of Giving. It's a very cool 'paper-like' texture paste that works great with stencils and absorbs ink once it's dry. 

I created a base of the Relief Paperpaste with the Wonky Chevron stencil and then sponged on the pink and red inks listed above. I love the Krafty Kolours inks! They are a hybrid ink that stamp beautifully and also blend wonderfully. I layered papers from my stash using the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection and added stickers and chipboard from the Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse line. Some coordinating twine and Krafty Dots add even more texture and fun! 

I'm going to add this pretty tag to a gift for someone special and of course I'll need a coordinating envelope! I used the Wonky Chevron stencil again and some of the Pretty In Pink Ink to add a subtle pattern to the middle of the envelope. After stamping another krafty girl I used coloured pencils this time to colour in the image. 

I added a little flower sticker to her hair, some white gel pen highlights and some more Krafty Dots. I plan on hand delivering this envelope, so I didn't mind adding a little extra dimension. How fun to get an embellished envelope that will give you just a taste of what's going to be inside?!

On the back of the tag I added a few more of the Simple Stories stickers and stamped another krafty sentiment. I embellished the envelope flap as well and stamped a sentiment with the red ink.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge Use The Colour Blue!

Good morning!  I am so super excited to be joining the Kraftin' Kimmie team as a guest designer this month!! I absolutely love Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, stencils, inks and enamel dots - and am thrilled and honoured to be sharing some of their amazing products with you throughout January. Today is the very first Saturday challenge of 2020 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and we can't wait to see what you create!

This week the challenge is to create something with the Colour Blue, so I decided to grab the Whimsical Gnomes and Beautiful Blooms Stamp Sets, Krafty Kolours Inks in Stormy Sky, Bubbly Blue, Mermaid Melody and Totally Taupe, the Stained Glass Stencil and Krafty Dots from the Polar and Krafty Basics packs and created a blue tone on tone card with a touch of whimsy!

I am absolutely loving the Krafty Kolours hybrid inks! They stamp beautifully, can be used with Copics and watercolours and also sponge wonderfully through the Kraftin' Kimmie stencils. I used the Totally Taupe Ink to stamp the cute images from the Whimsical Gnomes set so I could use my Copics and get a no-line effect. I love how it turned out!

The flowers from the Beautiful Blooms set really are beautiful, and I love the solid image you get. I used the blue inks listed above and then layered them on the card. For the background I used the lightest Bubbly Blue ink through the Stained Glass stencil and then used the Stormy Sky (one of my favourites!) around the edges.

I added a sweet sentiment from the Whimsical Gnomes set, embossed with Emerald Creek Glacier White embossing powder. I added some coordinating dots from the Krafty Basics and Polar packs. 

We also have a sketch to inspire you for the month of January! Feel free to use it any time you like when you need a little kickstart to your creative process!

Each and every Saturday there is a brand new challenge for the week, and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like! These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and products will earn you double entries! Holiday Chipboard Mini Album!

Hello! I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years! I enjoyed a glass of wine, in my pj's and even fit in some crafting!! So all in all a great night 😉 I really felt like Christmas went so quickly this year and there were so many more crafting possibilities, so I decided to take this opportunity in the holiday lull to sit down and make something fun with some festive supplies. I loved the Scrapbook & Cards Today December Sampler goodies, but hadn't had a chance to pull them out, and this little Mini Album (it's only 2.5" square!!) was just the right fit.
